Vampire Survivors Trailer

In Vampire Survivors you take control of an automatically attacking character while fighting against continuous waves of monsters, with the goal being to survive the onslaught for as long as possible and unlock additional characters, weapons, and relics for subsequent sessions.

Vampire Survivors Cheats, Tips Strategy

Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include why it is important that you are continuously moving and why you need to keep track of time.

  • Dying is Normal

Keep in mind that Vampire Survivors uses rogue-lite elements, this means to be able to progress further into the game your character will need to die so you can spend the coins you earned in the run strengthening them for the next run.

Just focus on trying to get as far as you can on a run and then when you inevitably die continue purchasing power-ups to upgrade your character. There are in total 30 unlockable characters in the game, you may have to consider swapping between them if you find you are unable to progress for whatever reason.

  • Only Upgrade a Few Weapons

Resist the temptation to select a new weapon whenever you go up a level. If you keep doing this you will have an inventory of low-level weapons which will hinder the progress of your character as they will keep getting easily overrun.

It is far more beneficial to instead focus on a couple of weapons you particularly like and keep leveling them up. It is recommended that the first weapon you invest in is one that surrounds you such as the Whip, Garlic, or King Bible.

  • Keep Moving

It is important that your character is continuously moving around the battlefield in Vampire Survivors as doing so will help to keep them alive. If you remain in one place you can easily get trapped by the enemy which appear along the sides of the screen and relentlessly move towards your position.

It is also important that you don't mindlessly move around the battlefield, look for ways to herd groups of enemies together, so you can eliminate more in one go when your weapons activate. Also keep an eye out for braziers (Mad Forest) and tall candelabras (Inlaid Library) around their respective stage which can drop all kinds of great items, most notably food which can heal you.

  • Keep Track of Time

There is a counter at the top of the screen that keeps track of the minutes and seconds played in the stage. Make sure you are aware of what happens at certain times during the stage, so you are not unpleasantly surprised.

Examples of this are the swarm of skeletons that enters the Mad Forest stage when you reach the 10-minute mark and the fast flying Medusa heads that begin spawning at the 15-minute mark in the Inlaid Library stage. Also remember that the boss of the stage you are on will appear at the 23-minute mark.

  • Purchasing Power-Ups

Whenever you complete a stage in Vampire Survivor you will be given the opportunity to go to the title screen and spend the gold you have earned on global power-ups, all of which are permanent and will affect all of your characters. It is recommended that you focus on getting the power-ups that can improve your weapons' damage, duration, and number of projectiles.

Other power-ups you will want to consider purchasing are those that reduce cooldown time and the Growth power-up which increases the amount of experience a character receives.
