Decapitating zombies

You can decapitate zombies for a quicker kill. This works best with the Shotgun (the Magnum does it too, but you'll want to save your Magnum for boss battles). When a zombie comes after you, let them get close, and then point your Shotgun up and fire. This should decapitate them. However, the Shotgun does a good job at decapitating from a distance, too, which is what you should try to do if you are facing groups of zombies. Only use the pointing up method for lone zombies that you need to kill.

Note - Claire does not have any weapons that decapitate zombies.

Herbs - all possible combinations and their effects

There are three types of healing herb found in the game - Green, Red and Blue. The below chart will list the the possible combinations and effects of each:

Green - Restores 25 percent of health

Green + Green - Restores 50 percent of health

Green + Green + Green - Fully restores health

Red - No effect alone

Green + Red - Fully restores health

Blue - Cures poison

Green + Blue - Restores 25 percent of health and cures poison

Green + Green + Blue - Restores 50 percent of health and cures poison

Green + Red + Blue - Fully restores health and cures poison

Note - No more than three herbs can be combined together. Therefore, it is not possible to combine three Green herbs and a Blue herb. Also, Blue herbs cannot combine with Red alone.

Note 2 - First Aid Sprays, the only other healing item found in the game, fully restores health.

Unlockables

Unlock the Rocket Launcher:

Complete the game without using any saves.

Unlock Mac11 or Ingram:

When you successfully beat the game in under 3 hours save the game and you should get a Mac11 machine gun if you played using Chris or an Ingram machine gun if you used Jill. You will get infinite ammo for these weapons in your new saved game.

How do I solve the moving wall puzzle?

Do you mean with the statue?

Push the statue to the end of the crushing walls, don't worry they cannot close on you with the statue between them. Then run back to where the statue was, their should be a second doorway, run though and push the button at the end, now run back out and back to where the statue is, push it on to the empty square plate and the walls will retract and stop, the door between the two statues will open.

If you mean the four bookshelves which you move sideways, you're in the wrong place as that's Resident Evil 2.

The key will be automatically placed in your item box at the start of the game. When you get to your first save room with an item box, check it and it should be inside. Note that this must be on a second round save (meaning when you cleared the game the first time, you saved over the completed file after the credits and loaded it to sart a new game).

As for where it is, it's in the narrow corridor in the room with the statue of the woman carrying water, where you got the Map of the First Floor and your first Dagger. Check the painting of the mansion down the little side corridor, which is directly opposite where you came into the room from the Mansion Main Hall. Check the picture of the mansion, which is partially covered in cloth, with the Closet Key in your inventory.

Go to the room where you killed Neptune(at the higher level) and look around for a room that has this weird thing with tentacles hanging from it and use it under it. It should work.

The MO disks are used to free Chris or Jill from the cell in the Lab. You don't need to do this to complete the game, only to get the best ending.

About the wooden mount: Go up the stairs above the Mans.E.Stairs save room, turn left and go into the room at the end of the corridor. Light the fireplace with the Lighter, then use the Wooden Mount. Press A to get the Mansion 2F map.
