Nope,
But there is a cheat that you can get animals: Horses, unicorns, cats, dogs and other pets into your family by pressing:
1. Hold down CONTROL, SHIFT, C
2. Type in testingcheatsenabled true
3. Go to an animal you would like to adopt.
4. Hold down SHIFT and click "Add to active family"

And it should add the animal to your family, if not, you can't adopt that animal.

Yes there is a way to adopt a deer , 1 : find a deer 2 : pause game and then with your sim click on the deer and click wahtch deer , then click pet deer ....
If it does not work try to do lots of times watch deer ,,,, I hope this helped

Yes there is a way to adopt a raccoon

First you find a raccoon then you pause your game then you hit ctrl shift c then type in testingcheatsenabled true just like I have it then you hit enter and then you hit shift and touch the raccoon and you hit edit and save the raccoon to the bin and the next time you play the game just go to the pet bin and there you go you have a raccoon .

No, you can't adopt a deer. I have tried, it's like the deer isnt even alive because when my sim is petting the deer it doesnt show up in the relationship bar. Sorry. :/

You can't adopt a deer, but you can adopt a raccoon. Simply find a racoon and with testingcheatsenabled on. Shift+click on it. A few thngs will appear but click on edit sim in create a sim.

Now click on the ... And click 'Save sim' or whatever. Now can make a racoon when you want. But click 'Add to active family' if it appears.

If you want to make a foal in CAS, simply do the same thing, find it in pre-made sims, just leave it on all and all or it won't show up. Once you've found the foal click on it and edit how you like. This cheat also works with unicorns and unicorn foals.

Yes, there is a way to adopt a deer. Well it might work. First, you find a deer. Make sure you stop everything you're doing because deer go away quite fast. When you find it. Make your Sim watch it like 5 or 6 times before petting it. After watching it and petting it heaps of times, it should have the option "Pick up pet" if it does, click it. But I'm not sure about the rest. I might end up in your Sims inventory (as if a deer could fit in their pocket..) I also think you can play as a deer, the only option is "Go Here" and "Graze" I think, I don't know. I hope I helped! I'm still trying to find the deer!

The only way to add a deer to your household is to create a deer-like horse. Deer are NPCs for a reason. NPC means "Non-Playable Character".

There is no mod or cheat to successfully add more animals or people to one household, however I may do some searching and see what turns up.

Raccoons are the same way, they don't function well as pets even if you do save them the way that is mentioned above. The best way to have a raccoon pet is to create a raccoon-like cat.
You can do other animals like this, such as Wolves, Coyotes, foxes, & the like by creating dogs that look the same.

I just trapped one in my backyard while it was walking I quickly went into buy mode and put fence around it

Yes you can adopt a deer. All you have to do is these:
1-find the deer
2-CTRL + SHIFT + c
3-type in , testingcheatsenabled true
4- SHIFT + CLICK on the deer
5-Click edit in CAS
6- Save to bin
This action can be done for a racoon I have done it before.
WARNING: You can only do 2 actions with the deer, they are:
1-Grazing
2-Moving / jumoing around

I know how to adopt a raccoon if anybody is interested. You need to have testingcheatsenabled true on. Then you click the raccoon while holding shift and click the option to change in create a sim(I don't know what the option is called in english). Then when you have the raccoon in create a sim, click the option to save the sim to your gallery. DONT CHANGE THE COAT COLOR. IF YOU WILL THE RACCOON COT WONT WORK ANYMORE.
