can you buy cars in a community lot?

I want to use the table item where you can show off your car a a community lot but I can't get cars there. I heard there was a way to do this but I never found out how. Oh and I also wan to make a parkinglot for one of my stores so I want there to be cars in it too.

You need to get your sim/sims to the community lot in their car. To do this, when they're at home, click on the car. select go somewhere. You should be able to then pick the community lot you want to go to.

You quite simply make a resedential lot and place all the cars you want on show on it by typing this cheat in (to bring up the cheat bar press ctrl - alt - c) moveObjects on (and to turn the cheat off type moveObjects off) once you have done that (which enables you to places cars anywhere without a driveway and outside the 'out of bounds area') bring up the cheat bar again and type 'changelotzoning community' which will change the lot to a community lot and to reverse it type 'changelotzoning resedential' Smile Hope I've helped
