Yes...take player. Out...just put in
Setcrimegold 0 and it will work!
You actually can't if you obtained the bounty naturally without cheats. That code is used to remove a bounty that you gave yourself through the same cheat. With some research, I found this:
This IS a console command IN SKYRIM, however, when entered it appears to have no effect and your bounty will remain unchanged. The console recognizes the command though because "could not parse this line" does not come up when entered. Any ideas why this might be? Reizl 18:33, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
Ok so after a little more testing I have found that you can set your bounty higher by selecting (clicking on) a guard and entering setcrimegold [qty] and your bounty for the faction to witch the guard belongs will be increased. Additionally if you increase your bounty this way you can then reduce it to 0 once more by entering setcrimegold 0 however I could not reduce my bounty if I acquired it naturally by committing a crime.
So the command does work..but not the way you nor most other players attempt to use it.
Well if you don't have the money to pay or it no longer gives you that option you could just submit and go to jail... Its not like you lose anything (unless it's stolen or you try to break out).
With a guard nearby, bring up the console command, click the guard), and type "paycrimegold"...another tip is to empty your inventory of most of your gold in your inventory prior to doing this (you might need at least 1 in your inventory for it to work...haven't tried it with 0 gold). It will accept your payment even if you don't have enough gold to pay.
You're wrong. You need the city# thing to set bounty ie: setcrimegold 0 city#
