The reward for the Collections Mission is a Collectable in the form of a Cured Beef Rack. As with any new Collectable that is linked to a Mission, you will not find it in the Market until the Mission has expired.

You therefore must complete the Collections Mission in order to obtain the Cured Beef Rack to use during the traditional Quest sequence. Note however that, as always, you can skip the task of placing the Rack for 10 RC. The Recipe that requires Cured Beef allows the farmer to buy the Cured Beef if necessary for 39 TC.

You will need a total of 6 to complete the Task. It is better to pay for the Cured Beef than to use 6 RC to skip the Task completely as the Dish that is made is an ingredient for another Dish required in one of the later Tasks.
