Murder Mystery V Tips

• Don't trust someone just because they say they're Sheriff

If a player says they're the Sheriff, don't automatically believe them or follow them around. Watch what players actually do instead.

As an Innocent, keep an eye on who is near dead players and who runs away when someone gets killed. If you find the real Sheriff, try to stay nearby without getting in their way. The Sheriff is the player who has the gun and can take down the Murderer.

• Don't waste your Sheriff shot

If you're the Sheriff, don't shoot someone just because they seem suspicious. Missing your chance can make it much harder to stop the Murderer.

Try to get a clear look at the Murderer before shooting. If you actually see someone using the knife or killing another player, that's a much better time to take the shot.

• Don't run around with your knife out as the Murderer

If you're the Murderer, pulling out your knife and chasing everyone is a quick way to get caught. Other players will see you, and the Sheriff can take you out.

Keep your knife hidden when you're around other players. Wait until someone is away from the group, get the kill, and then move away instead of chasing another player straight away.

• Leave the area after getting a kill

Don't hang around a player you just killed. Once someone finds the body, players will start looking around for the Murderer.

If you're the Murderer, move to another part of the map after a kill. Don't go back to the body or keep running around the same area. The longer you stay near the crime scene, the easier it is for players to connect you to the kill.

• Find out where the Sheriff is before making your move

If you're the Murderer, knowing where the Sheriff is can save you from getting caught. Don't blindly run into a room when you don't know who is inside.

Watch where players are moving and try to work out who has the gun. If you spot the Sheriff, don't charge straight at them with your knife out. Wait for a better chance to make your move or get away from them.
