Rewards 5. Credits ------------------------------------------ 1. Introduction ------------------------------------------ While exploring the overworld, you may have noticed rabbits sitting on top of boulders. In Spirit Tracks, one of the many sidequests you can do is catch these rabbits. How though? In the Forest Realm, there is a place called Rabbitland Rescue, which can only be accessed after getting the rail map for the Snow Realm. The Rabbitland Rescue is in the northwest section of the Forest Realm. Once in Rabbitland Rescue, speak with the man there to receive the Rabbit Net. This is an important tool that will enable you to catch the rabbits you spot. --------------------------------------------- 2. Controls --------------------------------------------- By this point in the game you should already have the cannon from Alfonzo. Basically, when you see a rabbit sitting on top of a boulder, blast the boulder that it's sitting on to start the rabbit catching. The moment you blast that boulder, you have ten seconds to catch the rabbit before it flees. To catch the rabbit, tap the touch screen where the rabbit is at. That's easier said than done, however. There are two methods to catching rabbits. One way is to wait for the rabbit to stop hopping around, then immediately catch it when it stops momentarily. This method works for slow hopping rabbits. The other method is to tap the area that the rabbit is heading for, catching it while it is still hopping. This method is good for faster rabbits. If you fail to catch the rabbit within the ten second frame, the rabbit will flee, and you must attempt to catch it at another time. The rabbits' locations will reset if you enter another realm, or if you stop at a station. ---------------------------------- 3. Locations ---------------------------------- There are a total of 50 rabbits in the overworld: 10 forest rabbits, 10 snow rabbits, 10 ocean rabbits, 10 mountain rabbits, and 10 desert rabbits. Catch these rabbits to earn rupees and prizes. See the Rewards section below for the prizes you can earn. Forest Rabbits: All forest rabbits can be found in the Forest Realm. Forest Rabbit #1: This rabbit can be found near the Rabbitland Rescue. Head a little bit down south, and the rabbit will be near the corner of the railtracks. Forest Rabbit #2: This rabbit can be found near the Forest Temple. From the temple head south and look to your left while traveling. The rabbit should be there. Forest Rabbit #3: This rabbit is found in the southern part of the Forest Realm. From Whittleton Village, set the course to left, then immediately turn left. From there head straight and after a bit of train driving, start looking to your left. The rabbit is sitting there waiting to be caught. Forest Rabbit #4: This Rabbit is found near Hyrule Castle. From Hyrule Castle head left. Keep going straight and look to your right. You will eventually bump into the rabbit. You might not be able to see the rabbit if you don't have a certain Force Gem. To make spotting this rabbit easier, obtain the Force Gem where you transport the kid from Aboda Village to Beedle's Shop. More tracks will appear near the northern part of the Forest Realm, making this rabbit easier to spot. Forest Rabbit #5: To get this rabbit, you need the Force Gem that is obtained for transporting Carben from Papuchia Village to the Ocean Sanctuary. Once you do, new tracks will appear in the southern part of the Forest Realm. From the Trading Post, head left, then immediately turn left. Start looking to your left, and you'll eventually see the rabbit. Forest Rabbit #6: To find this rabbit, you need the Force Gem that can be obtained from bringing the Chief of Whittleton to a lady in Papuchia Village. Once you do, new tracks will appear in the south east part of the Forest Realm. From Whittleton, set a course due east, and once you set foot on the new tracks, look left, and the rabbit will be sitting there. Forest Rabbit #7: This rabbit also requires the Force Gem needed to get Forest Rabbit #6. From the sixth rabbit's location, keep heading east, then you'll eventually be forced to turn right. Once you do, start looking left. The rabbit will appear after you head down the track for a bit. Forest Rabbit #8: To get this rabbit you need the Force Gem which is obtained from bringing a lady from Castle Town to Rabbitland Rescue. New tracks will appear in the south west part of the Forest Realm. From the Forest Sanctuary, set a course to west. You will travel through a tunnel on the way. Once you're out of the tunnel, look to the left, and the rabbit will be there. Forest Rabbit #9: This rabbit has the same requirements for Forest Rabbit #8. From #8, keep heading west, then turn right instead of left at the intersection. After turning, look to your right, and the rabbit will be sitting there. Forest Rabbit #10: To catch this rabbit you need a certain Force Gem. You can get this Force Gem by bringing 10 units of fish from Papuchia Village to a lady in Castle Town. Once that is done, new rails will appear in the east part of the Forest Realm. Starting from where the tracks lead into the Ocean Realm, head west, and start looking to your left. The rabbit will be there after driving a little bit. Snow Rabbits: All Snow Rabbits are found in the Snow Realm. Snow Rabbit #1: This rabbit is found near Anouki Village. From the village head west. The rabbit will be on your right side after a little driving. Snow Rabbit #2: This rabbit can also be found near Anouki Village. From the village, set a course due east, then turn left at the intersection. Afterwards, start looking to your left, and you'll eventually see the rabbit after driving a little bit north. Note: You cannot obtain Rabbits 3-7 until you beat the Snow Temple, because a strong blizzard prevents you from accessing these locations. Concentrate on getting to the Snow Temple first and beating it, then you can worry about the rabbits. Snow Rabbit #3: From the Snow Temple, set a course due south, and keep traveling south until you're forced to turn east. Near the corner that you have to turn will you find the third rabbit. Snow Rabbit #4: From the Snow Temple, head south, then immediately turn left. Drive a little bit and you'll hit an intersection. Look in front of you to spot rabbit number 4. Snow Rabbit #5: From Snow Rabbit 4, head south, and immediately turn left. After driving a while, you'll spot rabbit number 5 on your train's left side. Snow Rabbit #6: From Snow Rabbit 4, instead of immediately turning left, keep heading south, and turn left on the next opportunity you get. The rabbit will be visible on your right side after a little driving. Snow Rabbit #7: From Snow Rabbit 3, keep heading east until you're forced to head north. Once you make the turn, look to your right side, and the rabbit will be visible after a couple seconds drive. Snow Rabbit #8: To get this rabbit you need a Force Gem which is obtained from transporting a Goron from Goron Village to Anouki Village. Once that is done new tracks will appear. From the Wellspring Station, head west, then immediately turn right. The rabbit will be on the left side after a short drive. Snow Rabbit #9: This rabbit has the same requirements as 8. From the eighth rabbit, keep heading north, and you'll eventually see the rabbit on the train's right side. If you passed the Warp Gate, then you've traveled too far. Snow Rabbit #10: Before attempting to catch this rabbit, get the Force Gem by transporting lumber from Whittleton to Anouki Village, as as bringing the worker from the Trading Post to Anouki Village. Afterwards, new tracks will appear in the north west part of the Snow Realm, granting you access to Snowdrift Station. From the Station, head south until you spot the rabbit on your left side. Mountain Rabbits: All mountain rabbits are found in the Fire Realm. Mountain Rabbit #1: When you enter the Fire Realm from the south west side, keep heading east, then turn at the first left you see, then turn right at the intersection. You'll eventually be forced to turn left. The rabbit is near this turning point. Mountain Rabbit #2: From Goron Village, head west, then turn on the first right you see. Keep heading north until you're forced to turn left, and immediately turn right after you turn left. The rabbit will be on your train's left side after you turn right and drive a little. Note: I recommend getting mountain rabbits 3-7 AFTER beating the Fire Temple, because you'll be too busy obtaining the three keys and avoiding the enemies if you attempt this before beating the temple. When you first get the Fire Rail Map, the area in which the Fire Temple is in has a shape like a square within a square. I will point out the location of rabbits 3-7 in reference to these squares. Mountain Rabbit #3: From the outer square's northwest corner, head south, then turn at the first right you see. The rabbit will be on your right side shortly thereafter. Mountain Rabbit #4: This rabbit can be found near the inner square's south west corner. Mountain Rabbit #5: This rabbit can be found at the inner square's northernmost segment, which is practically directly above the Fire Temple. Mountain Rabbit #6: This rabbit is found near the outer square's northeast corner. Mountain Rabbit #7: This rabbit is found near the outer square's southeast corner. Mountain Rabbit #8: After completing the Fire Temple, new tracks will appear in the Fire Realm leading to the Tower of Spirits. From the tower, head north, then you're forced to turn east. Eventually you'll be forced to turn left, and the rabbit is near the corner you have to turn. Mountain Rabbit #9: To get thsi rabbit you need the Force Gem obtained from transporting the Goron child from Goron Village to Hyrule Castle. Once that's done, new tracks will appear in the northwest part of the Fire Realm. The rabbit is located just east of the Disorientation Station, on your right side when departing from the station. Mountain Rabbit #10: You cannot get this rabbit until after the Sand Temple is conquered. Once you do that transport 5 Cuccos from Castle Town to Rael in the Sand Sanctuary. New tracks will form in the northeast part of the Fire Realm, giving you access to the Ends of the Earth Station. From there keep heading west until you hit a corner, where you'll find the final mountain rabbit. Ocean Rabbits: All ocean rabbits are found within the Ocean Realm. Ocean Rabbit #1: From the Ocean Sanctuary set a course due east. Keep driving and you'll eventually spot the rabbit on your right. If you drive past a warp gate, then you've driven too far. Ocean Rabbit #2: From the first rabbit, keep heading east, and you'll eventually spot rabbit number 2 on your left side. Ocean Rabbit #3: From the second rabbit, keep heading east, then turn on the first left you see, and turn left again on the first opportunity. The rabbit will be on your right side shortly thereafter, near one of the Ocean Realm's three orbs. Ocean Rabbit #4: From the third rabbit, head east, tuen turn left at the intersection shortly thereafter, and keep heading north until you're forced to turn west. Shortly after that you'll be forced to turn left. Afterwards, keep driving until you hit a corner, where the rabbit will be at. Ocean Rabbit #5. From rabbit number 4, keep heading west until you're forced to turn left. After that, keep driving until you hit another corner, where the rabbit will be at. Ocean Rabbit #6: From Ocean Rabbit #1, head east, then turn at the first left, then turn left again at the first opportunity. The rabbit will be on your right side after a short drive, south of the entrance to the underwater tracks. Ocean Rabbit #7: Once you beat the Ocean Temple, new tracks will appear heading towards the Tower of Spirits. From Ocean Rabbit 6, head west until FORCED to turn north, then west, then north again. After turning north a second time, the rabbit will be to your left, above Papuchia Village. Ocean Rabbit #8: You need a special Force Gem to catch this rabbit. Bring no less than 10 units of ice from Wellspring Station to the fish seller in Papuchia Village to make tracks appear on the west side of the Ocean Realm. From the Pirate Hideout, head south, then turn right shortly thereafter. When you need to turn right again, the rabbit will be at the corner where you need to turn. Ocean Rabbit #9: To find this rabbit you'll need the Force Gem obtained from rescuing the prisoner at the Pirate Hideout, then bringing him to Papuchia Village. New Tracks will appear near the center of the Ocean Realm. From Ocean Rabbit 7, head north, then turn right immediately. You'll encounter a warp gate, ignore it and keep heading east, and you'll eventually spot the rabbit on your right side. Ocean Rabbit #10: This is one of the hardest rabbits to get, because of the requirements needed to access the area it's in. First, you need to get Ferrus's second letter asking you to take him to the Ocean Temple. Once that's done new tracks will appear in the Fire Realm's east side, and you'll have access to a place called the Dark Ore Mine. Purchase 10 Dark Ore units from the Goron here for 200 Rupees, then get on your train and set a course towards the southeast corner of the Fire Realm leading into the Ocean Realm. On the way, you'll battle Rocktite. The trick is you cannot get hit more than once, otherwise you must attempt this all over again. In other words, you must have at LEAST 9 units of Dark Ore by the time you exit the cave and defeat Rocktite. Once you're out of the cave, keep heading south into the Ocean Realm, then turn left at the intersection. Go through this Warp Gate at the dead end, and you'll end up in another section of the Ocean Realm. Directly beneath the Warp Gate you just came out of is another Warp Gate, on the tracks needed to get Ocean Rabbit 9. Set the shortest course to get to this Warp Gate, then use it to appear in the Forest Realm, near the Trading Post. Set a course to the Trading Post, then once you arrive, run as fast as you can to Linebeck III. You must have at least 5 units of Dark Ore for him to give you the Force Gem. If you have 9 units coming out of the cave, you'll have just enough units to give to him. Once Linebeck gives you the Force Gem, new tracks will appear in the south east part of the Ocean Realm, granting you access to the Lost at Sea Station. From that station, head west, then when you have to turn right, the rabbit will be near that corner. Desert Rabbits: Some desert rabbits can be found in the Ocean Realm, while others can be found in the Fire Realm. Desert Rabbit #1: To get this rabbit first bring at least 10 units of ice from the Wellspring Station to the Goron in the northeast part of Goron Village (this can only be done after defrosting the path near the entrance is done). Once the Goron is happy he can go home, new tracis will appear in the southwest part of the Fire Realm. Within that new tracks is a Warp Gate. From that Warp Gate, head east, and when you hit a corner, the rabbit will be there. Desert Rabbit #2: After Anjean tells you that you must obtain the Bow of Light on your fifth visit to the Tower of Spirits, she'll give you a Force Gem that makes new tracks appear in the Ocean Realm. From the first desert rabbit, head left, then south into the Ocean Realm, then turn on the first left you see. Eventually you'll spot the rabbit on your left side if you drive far enough. Desert Rabbit #3: From the Sand Sanctuary, head south, then immediately turn left, and keep driving west until you can't drive west anymore. The rabbit will be at the point where you need to turn right. Desert Rabbit #4: From the Sand Sanctuary, head south, and keep driving south until you can't anymore. The rabbit is at the corner where you need to turn right. Desert Rabbit #5: This rabbit is found near the entrance where your three trials to get into the Sand Temple starts. From Desert Rabbit 2, head east until forced to turn right, then turn left soon afterwards. On the way you'll see the cave to your left, but ignore that for now. Once you pass the cave, you'll spot the rabbit on your right after a short drive. Desert Rabbits #6-8: I'll be doing this as if you're doing your second trial to get to the Sand Temple. After you defeat Rocktite, you'll exit the cave. After you exit the cave, you'll see the entrance to the Forgotten Tunnels. Go through it. To progress on, after you've emerged, you must immediately reverse back to go on, but don't do that just yet! In the area you've just entered houses two desert rabbits. Head forward first, then turn left and head to the end of the track to find a rabbit. You can find another on the right side as well. On one of those sides is another exit. Don't take that exit, as it will warp you back to the beginning. Once you've collected the two rabbits, go back to the area where you're supposed to reverse in order to progress on. You'll emerge into a new area. Immediately reverse again to enter a new area. Turn right at the intersection and enter the south tunnel. But wait! Rabbit 8 is near the intersection, so don't forget to grab it. Desert Rabbit #9: Once you've gotten through the Forgotten Tunnels, head south into the Ocean Realm. In the intersection in front of you, turn right, heading towards the Sand Temple. Turning left makes you head to the Warp Gate. Not far after turning right, the rabbit can be spotted on your left side. Desert Rabbit #10: From Desert Rabbit 9, head west, then turn left when you can't head west anymore. After that, look to your right, and the final rabbit will eventually pop into view. Be careful not to get hit by the cannons if you haven't disposed of them yet. ------------------------------------ 4. Rewards ------------------------------------ When you catch the rabbits, they immediately to into Rabbitland Rescue. To claim your prizes, pay a visit to Rabbitland Rescue. The more rabbits you bring, the more rupees the man there pay you. If you bring him five rabbits, he'll reward you with a Heart Container. It doesn't have to be all Forest Rabbits or a mix of different kinds, just five rabbits will do. Next he'll ask you to bring 10 of each kind of rabbit. That will net you five random treasures. If you bring all 50 rabbits to him, he'll be overjoyed and give you a Swordsman's Scroll. With this scroll, you can shoot shockwaves from your sword, but only when you're at full health. ================================= 5.
