The original Tak and the Power of Juju is one of my favorite 3D platformers.
It was a bautiful and funny game with a great mix of puzzle solving, 
exploration and platforming. I didn't enjoy the other Tak games as much, but
the DS Tak retains some of the charm of the original that I liked so much. 
It's a fun game, but it's really too bad it's so... short.

I thought some of the "puzzles" weren't very obvious and the game doesn't 
give any indications as to what to do. If you're stuck, I hope my walkthrough
helps you. I made it for that reason. =)

The Main Menu

"The Great Juju Challenge" is the main adventure mode. After you complete 
the game once, you'll be able to choose the difficulty level from "Normal"
to "Hard".

"Mini-Games" lets you replay the mini-games from the adventure mode. You'll
need to have completed the game at least once to play them.

"Shaman Games" is a kind of Puzzle Quest game. Complete all various levels
to unlock artworks. Just match three or more of the same characters.

"Art Gallery" lets you look at the artworks you've unlocked. Complete the
Shaman games to unlock the artworks.

The Controls

"Control Pad" moves Tak and Lok around

"A Button" lets you climb and pick up objects

"B Button" lets you jump

"X Button" lets you use Magic

"Y Button" lets you attack

"L/R Buttons" lets you rotate the camera

To switch characters, touch Lok or Tak on the touchscreen.
Press L and R at the same time to center the camera.

The Items

"Feathers" restore your health and juju (magic gauge).

"Ingredients" are scattered around levels. They let you buy Blessing Gems.
Juju Fruit can be found in trees, Zoo-zoo Insects under rocks, and Woo-woo
Crystals from under rocks as well.

"Rokker Crystals" can be obtained from defeating enemies. When you have 
collected a certain quantity, you'll learn a new combo or open a space for 
more Blessing Gems.

"Blessing Gems" can be traded for ingredients from Jujus in the hubs. Each
have different powers. Try to get as many as possible. You can equip them
to your characters at the Blessing Shrines.

Q: I'm stuck in the tutorial. How do I open the first challenge door?

A: Simply light up the torch on the left by jumping up to it.

Q: My path is blocked by a barrier and there's a rhino nearby. What do I do?

A: Try hitting the rhino and see what happens...

Do as instructed: head forward, jump over the gaps with B, move the camera
with L or R, switch to Lok on the touch screen, cross the water with Tak, 
climb the wall with Lok, defeat the bad guys with X or Y, and move on. Phew.

Now down to business. In the next open area, talk to the purple Juju on the
left to receive the Gem. You'll now have to enter the first challenge, but
the door is closed. I don't know if I'm dumber than Lok, but it took me a
while to figure out how to open this gate. And it was so obvious and simple.
See that torch at the left of the gate? Jump up to it and Tak will light it
up, which will open the gate. Go in.

This is just a race. Press A to move, B to brake, and L/R to drift. It doesn't
matter if you're not first, but as long as you're not last you'll win.

Start by climbing up the wall with Lok, glide across the chasm, then defeat
the enemies and cross the water with Tak. In the next area, look at the 
river on the side to spot a torch over the water. Jump from rock to rock by
using the glide (holding the thrid jump will let you glide) to reach it and
simply jump up to light it. Platforms will appear.

Now jump the river and swim to the right to find another torch. Light it up,
then head back on the ground from the pillar on the side of the river. Head
up the cliff, glide across the pit, defeat the enemies with the shield and
jump on the platforms in front of the waterfall.

Once the mini-game is done, jump on the platforms ahead to cross. In the
next area, light the torch next to the waterfall to open a passage. Go in
to find a rhino. Pick it up and throw it next to the barrier ahead. Then
beat up the baby rhino like it was an enemy. The mother will get mad and
crush down the barrier. Pick back up the little rhino and throw it next
to the other barrier ahead. Beat it up to lure the mother. Then while the
mom is facing the barrier, beat her up and she'll crush the barrier.
(This paragraph sounds harsh - sorry for the rhinos)

Light up the torch behind to open the passage above. Climb up on the side
and go through the new passage. Defeat the enemies, then climb up the wall
with Lok. Turn around and look down to see a torch where you just came
from. Jump down to it and light it. Climb back up and exit the area.

Back in the main level, go up and left into the alcove. Light up the
torch to open the path. Continue to the next part.

In the next area with the tree, look on the left for a torch in the corner
of the wall. Light it up to open the path ahead. Keep advancing and pick 
up the rhino in the tunnel ahead. Backtrack to the barrier outside the
tunnel and put down the rhino next to it. Hit the rhino to make the mother
crush down the barrier.

Follow the path above the waterfall and light up the torch at the end. 
Jump down and climb up the clif on the left. Cross the river, then head
down on the right and light up the other torch across the waterfall. Climb
back up and use the new platformers to cross the large chasm. Defeat the
enemies, then climb up the wall with Lok.

To defeat the large enemy ahead, let it have the first blow, avoid it, 
then hit it a few times and back off. Repeat until he's defeated, then 
step in the circle ahead to finish the level.

Climb up the stairs and go left to light up the torch and open the gate to 
the next challenge. Talk to the caged Juju if you need to buy stuff. When
you're done, head into the gate at the left of the torch.

This is just to unlock the mini-game; you can't go that way.
Head back down the path and climb up the wall ahead with Lok. In the next
area, swim across the river with Tak, then get on the elephant. Press X
or Y to break the barrier blocking your way. Defeat the enemies around 
and move out to the end of the path which is blocked by a large gate.

Get off the elephant and turn around. Climb up the large wall behind you
with Lok and jump from roof to roof until you find a torch on the last
platform. Light it up to open the gate below. Get back on the elephant
and enter the next area, which brings you back to the entrance.

Break the barriers, then climb up the wall behind the one on the right.
Defeat the enemies in the next area, then climb up on the left and work
your way to the upper path. Get over to the left across the large pit
and examine the lobster suit lying on a rock. Press A to put it on. Now
walk into the water and go forth.

Keep following the underwater path before time runs out. Step on the warp
outside the water to wind up in a new area.

Defeat all the enemies in this area to open the gate. Do the same with the
next area. Go forth and enter the cave. Jump on the first platform over 
the lava, then turn the camera to the left. Glide over to the alcove in
the wall and light up the torch to make a platform appear.

Use this platform to cross over to the other side and climb up the wall
at the end of the hallway with Lok. Jump down o the alcove in the wall
below and light up the torch to make another platform appear. Glide over
back to the first platform. Make your way back to the climbable wall and
use the new platform on the right to head up to the upper path. 

Follow the tunnel, glide over the water and light up the torch at the end.
The water will drain in the room below. Jump down and go into the newly
opened pathway. Defeat the large enemy and go through the door to the
next area.

Glide from platform to platform, then head up the stairway. Defeat the
big enemy, then head out for a boss battle. Simply run around to avoid
the attacks, then when he comes out of the sand and seems to be standing
still, attack him with your best combos. Switch from Tak to Lok if you
run out of health and collect feathers around the stage to collect some
health back.

Head up the path and talk to Flora and Fauna. Go straight ahead to enter the
next challenge.

This race is a pain. Don't go too fast near the path because the track is 
full of curves and pits that you don't see. Time to use the break.

Head on and cross the two bridges. Pick up the sheep and bring it to that 
wheel. Throw it inside and the bridge above will lower. Before moving on, go
get the sheep back. Carry it across the new bridge. On the path ahead is a
crocodile who'll try to eat you if you cross. Simply cross while carrying the
sheep. The croco will eat the sheep and leave you alone. Move out to the next
area up the hill.

Follow the path to the large tree. Climb up and grab the sheep atop. At the 
foot of the tree is a switch. Throw the sheep on the switch to raise a 
platform. Now go to the new area where the platform rose and defeat the enemy
there. The door behind him looks like a closed gate but it's actually a 
breakable wall. Smash it down with a few hits and pick up the sheep hiding
inside the alcove behind. Throw the sheep on the switch next to the stump and
another platform will raise. Get over to that new area for a mini-game.

Now grab the sheep and throw it into the wheel to lower the bridge. Cross it
and follow the path to another mini-game.

In the next area, go right in the cave with the falling boulders. Hide in
the alcoves on the sides to avoid the boulders. At the end of the cave, 
hit the blue switch to make some platforms appear. Go back to the entrance
and cross using the platforms. Now get to the very top of the area using
the various platforms and obstacles. Climb up on the pipe to reach the top.
Glide over the rocks above the waterfall at the top and hit the blue switch
on the left to make a red switch appear below.

Head back down to the platform in the middle of the area and hit the new
red switch to make a path appear. It won't stay for long so quickly cross
it to the middle, then jump and glide over to the other side. In the next
area with the firing golem, you'll see there are many paths you can take.
Don't go in the two left ones; there's no point. Go in the third one 
from the left.

Put on the lobster suit. Cross the water and once on the other side, light
the torch to make more platforms appear. Jump down on the platforms below
and get on the pipe. Climb back up the wall with Lok to be back in the
previous large room. Head back into the area with the firing golem and go
in the rightmost path. Now you can cross the large chasm with the new
platforms and enter the next area.

In this cave are three paths. Hit the switch at the end of each, then
return to the middle. Hit the three blue buttons that appeared and the
platform will go down. Examine the cart ahead.

Use the warp to wind up outside. Doesn't seem like we're still in the 
marsh. Head forward. There will be two ways to go where the firing golem 
is. Start with the left path first. Glide to the first platform and hit
the switch. Use the new platform to cross over to the next one. Hit the
switch, then go to the next platform and hit the other switch. Now go
back to the previous platform and hit back the switch again. Go back to
the very first platform and jump over to the new one that appeared. Hit
the switch, then ride the next platforms up and go through the door in
the structure above.

Light the torch here to open a door somewhere. Now go back to the path
with the firing golem and go right using the two moving blocks. Climb
up the wall with Lok after talking to the Juju. Follow the path, climb
again and go through the door to end up in a new area with a purple sky.

Follow the path down to the platform near a tree on the right. Glide
down to a cave full of enemies. The door inside should be open from
lighting up the torch previously. Head back on the other side of the
cave and go left. Jump on the platforms to reach the big structure in
the middle. Watch the cutscene by going into the yellow light. Then go
left and jump to the smaller structure. Light the torch.

Now go back to the platform where the cave is and this time go right
from the cave. Use the new platform to reach another smaller structure.
Go into the doorway there and light up the torch inside. Now head back
all the way to the first area with the blue sky. Return to the entrance
area. Jump on the new platforms to the left and ride up the block to
a mountain. Climb to the top and go into the yellow light to watch
another cutscene.

Now head back to the purple sky area. Return to the big structure where
the first yellow light was and go right. Cross using the blocks. Follow
the path and ride the platform up. You'll find yourself in a maze. Hit
the switch on the left, then ride up the platform at the back and hit
the switch above. Go back down and hit the two new accessible switches.
Go back up to hit the two new switches. Ride the last platform up, then
step into the circle at the top.

In the next area, you must defeat all the enemies to open the doors. When
you reach the final one, save before proceeding, because the final boss
is ahead and he's quite hard at that.

The boss will throw fire at you, just watch out for the circles on the 
ground and run around to avoid them. Then get close and use your best 
combo to attack him (I personally like Tak's Y+Y+Y+X). He will swipe at
you or fire energy balls. Get away from him and avoid the new wave of 
attacks. Attack again everytime you get the opportunity. Just make sure
you stay away from him during attacks and rush things. Take your time
to avoid the attacks and choose the best moment to hit him. Collect
feathers around the stage for health and you can switch from Tak to Lok
if you run low on health. It's a pretty hard fight but there's no trick.
I started this battle over about 10 times before beating him.
