===============
a. Introduction
===============

Star Fox Command is the first handheld Star Fox and also the first Star Fox for
the Nintendo DS. This game was released in North America on August 28th, 2006
and in Japan on August 3rd, 2006. This Star Fox game has compatibility with the
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, supporting up to 4-player dogfights, and random
battles at will.

The Story Prologue:

Years ago, a scientist named Dr. Andross became obsessed with controlling the
Lylat System. He launched wave after wave of attack fighters from the remote
planet of Venom and ordered them to strike Planet Corneria -- the heart of the
Lylat System.

However, four brave pilots who made up a squadron known as Star Fox finally put
an end to the doctor's mad ambitions. Andross himself was defeated by the
leader of Star Fox; a brilliant pilot named Fox McCloud.

In the time that followed, Venom became known as a quarantine planet. Due to
that reputation -- and the frequent patrols carried out by members of the
Cornerian military -- it has been years since anybody set foot on the planet's
surface.

But after a period of quiet, Venom struck back with devastating attacks on the
Lylat system. Any and all attempts at resistance were brushed aside, and soon
all cities came under the grip of this new, terrifying enemy.

The occupiers were known as the Anglars, and operated under the control of the
Anglar Emperor. Their headquarters were located in the toxic Venom Sea, a vast
ocean so inhospitable that it was believed no living thing could survive there.

The members of Star Fox, the heroic and famous squadron that had come to
Lylat's aid in her hour of need, had disbanded. Each pilot was living a new
life, and it would prove a difficult task to bring the former team members back
together.

Fox McCloud, the team's leader, was wandering the galaxy with his friend ROB,
a navigation robot that he inherited after his father's passing. Fox used this
time to tie up a few loose ends and also ponder the course his life had taken.

The Cornerian military hero, General Pepper fell ill, and could no longer lead
as he once did. He recommended that Peppy Hare, Star Fox team member and father
figure to Fox, be promoted and given command of all Cornerian forces.

Brash pilot Falco Lombardi lived as a loner. He drifted from job to job,
searching for the same thrill he felt as a member of Star Fox. But his
existance was mostly an empty one...something that annoyed him more than he
would admit.

The technical brains behind the team, and Fox's closest friend, was the good-
natured Slippy Toad. Slippy met and fell in love with a girl named Amanda, and
decided to leave the world of flying and start a new life with his beloved
fiancee.

Star Wolf, the true rivals of Star Fox, continued to be involved in dirty
dealings. Their work soon caught the attention of the Cornerian military, who
put a massive bounty on their heads.

And finally, Krystal. The lone female of the group, she had fought beside Fox
and fell in love with him -- much against her better judgment and professional
concern. Her love was returned, however, and the two promised to remain
together always.

But Fox was quite wary of the danger that haunted pilots in the elite Star Fox
squadron, and he eventually forced Krystal to leave the team. Heartbroken and
ashamed, she fled from Fox and vanished soon after. No one knows what became
of her...

Now, the past has come to haunt them all. Unwilling or unable to face his
former team, Fox has chosen to take on the entire Anglar armada by himself.
Can he do it? Will the team put aside their differences and reunite? All Lylat
waits for the answers...

d. Basic Strategy and Tips
==========================

---------
MAP MODE:
---------

The main point of the single-player campaign is to collect all of the enemy
cores in a stage. You must clear enemy groups or shoot them down with missles
from the Great Fox and destroy all of the enemy motherships on the Map Screen.
The Map Screen will also show bonus items up for grabs, and they are usually
time capsules or missles, making the stage a bit easier. One quick way of
clearing stages is to locate the largest squadron of enemies, usually 4 or 5
dots, and take them down with a missile. It saves time, health, and more
importantly, you will often grab a ton of cores from them. Clear as much fog
as you can on fog-of-war missions, and try suspicious areas to uncover bases,
enemies, or bonus items.

Your own squadron can be directed to their destination by tapping them and
drawing paths for them. If an enemy crosses your path, you'll have to engage
that enemy squadron. Missiles from enemy bases will occasionally be launched,
and you MUST intercept them and destroy them before they hit the Great Fox.
If you fail to destroy a missile or an enemy squadron, they will move an
additional distance closer to the Great Fox, so repeated failures are not an
option.

Your ships can move a certain distance depending on its fuel meter when you
draw their paths. Friendly bases, which are white marks on the map, can boost
a ship's fuel meter considerably, allowing it to cover greater distances. Use
this well to grab any power-ups or to quickly intercept enemy bases or
squadrons. Power-ups are scattered everywhere, and some, like the Supply
Rings, may not be too terribly important, but it's a good idea to pick these
up, especially the fuel cells and missiles.

Enemies are red dots on the map, and can be made up of many different enemy
types, depending on the level. They will always target the Great Fox, so they
must be destroyed before they can get to the Great Fox. There are little >>
marks to represent how fast they can move, > being the slowest, >> being a
little faster, and >>> being very fast and difficult to watch out for.

Red striped areas on the map indicate no-fly zones, so you can't fly over
them. However, enemy missiles CAN pass over these zones, so be prepared to
encounter missiles as they go over these zones. Missiles can't be shot down
by the Great Fox's missiles, you have to take them out manually.

When you encounter enemies, select their panels and get ready to destroy them.
Usually the main type of enemy you see when you encounter a squadron is the
type that contains cores, and by collecting all of the cores from them, the
squadron is defeated and you earn extra time from the amount of enemies shot
down. If EVERY single enemy is shot down, you will earn a PERFECT and earn an
extra missile for the Great Fox. Keep in mind, that when you shoot down
enemies with the Great Fox, you DON'T gain any time or items, so use those
missiles wisely.

-------------------------
Motherships/Missile Bases
-------------------------

These are the red colored bases on the map. If a ship hits the mothership
base, it will stop its path and engage it. Mothership encounters are a little
different than normal encounters. The stage does not end when you collect the
cores from the main enemies. Instead, after clearing out the enemies and
taking the cores, you will have to go through a series of beacons which look
like this:

_______________________

 +

_______________________

(excuse the poor ASCII)

...And then do a rolling attack into the mothership to destroy it. If you miss
a beacon, or don't roll into the mothership, you will automatically die, so
don't mess up! As an added bonus, if you fly directly through the + in a
beacon, you will earn an extra second for the time limit. Bases with missile
icons next to them, signal that they are going to launch a missile in the next
turn if not taken care of. You can also tap the base on the map to check how
many cores they have, and how many turns they have before they launch another
missile.

--------
Missiles
--------

To destroy missiles, you have to go through the beacons, similar to the
mothership levels, and shoot it down with your lasers. Do it quick, because
the more beacons you go through, the faster you go, and the harder it is to
go through the beacons. Characters with lock-on can destroy the missile with
a full lock-on. If you fail to destroy the missile, it will move closer to the
Great Fox and eventually destroy it, ending in a mission failure. These CANNOT
be shot down by the Great Fox's missiles and can pass through no-fly zones.

------
Bosses
------

When certain stages are cleared, a boss will challenge you, signified by a
warning. The boss must be defeated to clear the stage and you can use any
available pilots to defeat it. R.O.B. will often point out its weak points
during the battle, so be sure to exploit them in order to win.

=======================
e. Mission Walkthroughs
=======================

e)i. Training - Controlling the Fighter

Simply fly through the 25 rings placed in a curve pattern.
You can use this to practice your flying, steering, speed boosts and brakes.
R.O.B. will teach you the basics of flying throughout the course of this
practice mission.

e)ii. Training - Combat Techniques

You have to destroy 30 Anglar ships and collect the cores they leave behind.
They can be taken down with one shot, so use this mission as practice for
lock-ons and dropping bombs strategically. In order to pick up the enemy cores
easier, you can barrel roll and they will be guided toward your ship.

e)iii. Training - Barrel Rolls

You must destroy the 5 enemy towers and collect their cores. They will shoot
at you, so rub the stylus back and forth on the touch screen to barrel roll.
This will deflect enemy fire and give you a time bonus too. Use this mission
to perfect barrel rolling, but it will consume the boost meter, so be careful.

e)iv. Training - The Time System

This introduces the time system of the game. Basically, you only have 30
seconds to destroy 15 enemies and collect their cores. If time runs out, you
lose a life, simple as that. It also introduces the bar meter above the timer.
For every 5 enemies you destroy, a bonus will appear, in most cases, a time
capsule that adds 25 seconds to your current time. Flying through rings will
also give you bonus items. Use this mission to prepare for the main game,
which will have destroying tons of enemies with a constant timer.

Strategy:

There may be a lot of fog on the map, but I've pointed out all the important
things on the map. Reach A2 with Lucy to earn a few turns, mop up the enemies,
and grab any items if necessary. If you don't want to deal with the enemies,
especially the Assault Laser, use the Great Fox's missiles. Group c moves the
fastest, but it's also the farthest, while the other groups move at a snail's
pace. Don't let any enemies hiding under the fog reach the Great Fox!
When that's done, your battle with former Star wolf member, Andrew Oikonny,
awaits....

Boss:

For those of you who saw Sony's horrendous E3 2006 conference, this will give
you a few laughs. Andrew decides to attack you with the "Death Crab", (jokingly
referred to as a GIANT ENEMY CRAB), the "most feared weapon in the arsenal".
Choose either Fox or Lucy, and shoot the pincers when they open to disable the
Death Crab. Now the boss will fly around. Again, attack the pincers when they
are exposed to destroy them. Once they're gone, shoot down every one of the
Crab's six legs, rolling to deflect attacks from the antannae. Once all the
legs are dealt with, unload on its weak point in the craft, and you'll finish
off Oikonny by doing MASSIVE DAMAGE to his craft. (I couldn't resist. ^_^;)

Strategy:

There's a lot of no-fly zones, so you have to maneuver through them carefully.
This will also be a first-time encounter of enemy missiles, you must intercept
them before they hit the Great Fox, and they can pass through no-fly zones,
making them extremely dangerous. Some bases, like A2, will also launch missiles
periodically, so watch yourself. Amanda will appear on Turn 2 to lend a helping
hand, but her ship isn't exactly made for combat, so be gentle with her. Clear
off any enemies groups, use the friendly base to boost your paths, and save the
bases to clear the mission! With 4 ships, this stage shouldn't take very long.
For help on missile encounters, see the Basic Strategies & Hints section.

Strategy:

This is pretty straightforward, you have to annihilate the bases and enemies
with the now reunited Star Fox team. A2 and A1 will send out missiles, so take
either the missiles or the bases out quickly. Take care of any reinforcements
with the Great Fox's missiles. The asteroid belt will scramble flight paths,
so watch where you're drawing and plan ahead.

Strategy:

Again, pretty straightforward. Destroy the mothership bases to earn more turns,
wipe out the enemies and the missile, and collect any and all power-ups on the
map. Use the stylus to uncover the enemies and the hidden base, and do your
thing by shooting them down. Then, finally, when all is well and done...

Boss:

This is it! The final battle against Anglar himself! He pilots a monstrous
version of the Devil Worm and each of his sections can attack you. The best way
to confront him is with a pilot with 2 or 3 bombs, like Fox or Slippy, and then
bombing him when all of his parts are in the blast zone. Sections that are
detached can still inflict damage on you. When all the sections are destroyed,
Anglar will form a defense barrier, with the head in the middle. Continue to
shoot at the head while avoiding the sections coming at you and you will
finally destroy Anglar once and for all!

Strategy:

Take out A1 first to start things off, and intercept groups that come from A2.
A2 launches a couple of reinforcements, but it's nothing you can't handle.
Falco appears on Turn 3, late as usual, so you can use him to handle A2 or its
reinforcements. Keep an eye on the enemy missile, and try to avoid going into
the asteroid paths, as they will scramble your flight paths, wasting fuel.
Having a missile or two for the Great Fox wouldn't hurt either.

Boss:

Surprise boss attack! You must deal with the Biobrain, before you finish the
stage. Choose either pilot and attack the 4 triangles that surround it. Bombs
are especially helpful here. Once the triangles are gone, shoot the center of
the Biobrain constantly to weaken it. It will continually divide and try to
attack you with the spare parts. Continue with the pattern, and you're done
with the stage!

Strategy:

Use the Great Fox's missiles to tear through the enemies and collect as many
missiles as you can. The missile stages are getting harder, so make sure to
lock on to the missile to destroy them. Otherwise, the enemies aren't too
tough to handle. Amanda will join the fray on Turn 2, so use her wisely.
Don't let the low amount of fog fool you, the enemies can still hide under it
as well as necessary power-ups.

Strategy:

Enemies and fog everywhere. Not a good combo. Combine that with over 4 enemy
bases and we got a serious problem. The attack swarms are brutal and move fast,
so be sure you stacked up enough missiles for the Great Fox. Missiles will come
from the bases frequently, but DON'T USE LEON for them. His laser is far too
weak to take them down fast enough. I would recommend using Panther for the
missiles, Wolf for the base skirmishes, and Leon/Krystal for the enemy squads,
as they are too weak to handle the base attacks. Conserve bombs and missiles,
you'll need them if you want to survive this final trial for Ending 4.
Zazan and Octoman are incredibly tough to defeat, I would also recommend
Panther for their encounters. Uncovering the power-ups is also key to your
victory here on Venom. And now finally....

Boss:

Anglar will attack you with another version of the Arrow Head. He will come
out of certain holes in the environment, so watch where he's going and attack
him. Use bombs when necessary and go for the rings if you're low on health.
He'll then attack by throwing sections at you again, once that's finally done,
it seems Anglar's running away! You'll follow him into a deep hole in Venom's
bowels.

Now the anglerfish will have 3 maces surrounding him, shoot them down while
avoiding his ray attacks until they turn red. They will now concentrate energy
for another attack. Roll to deflect it back at Anglar, but be warned, he can
deflect it back! If it connects with him, his shields will drop, exposing his
fragile appendage on his head. Attack it until his shields come back. The maces
will now emit green lights, avoid them and continue shooting the maces until
they turn red again. Once again, deflect his attack back at him again to drop
his shields, and continue attacking his appendage. Now he will send a ton of
metal girders to block your path. Try to manuever through them and continue
your barrage on the maces until they are destroyed. Anglar will finally come
out and try to inhale you into his mouth, resist with the brakes quickly.
Now avoid his tile barrage and fire at his appendage once more until he is
finally destroyed once and for all! Congratulations! You've earned Ending 4!

NOTE: You can manipulate the credits on the touch screen to pass the time.

Fairly simple, defeat the 3 enemy squads with your ships or a missile, pick up

this place a pain to navigate though.

Strategy:

Use the map to clear off the fog from the most important things, and shoot down
any enemy squads with missiles. Look out for any missiles launched from the
bases and pick up the extra missiles and fuel cells. There are 4 bases, 2 of
which launch missiles, so watch yourself. The enemies are getting really tough,
so if you must conserve time, use the missiles. You only have 3 turns, so get
to the bases as soon as possible. I would also recommend not using Slippy for
the missile stages, as the missiles have more stamina and become harder to hit
without lock-on.

Boss:

What's this? It's the Ghost of Andross! He's protecting Titania with his
bioweapon! It's the Dune Worm! Oh no! Sarcasm aside, I would recommend Slippy
for this particular battle because of his Plasma Shots and high defense. The
Dune Worm will pop out of the ground and hurl rocks at you. You must strike
either its head or its other end to damage it. The weak points are very small,
so it could take a while. Remember to roll to deflect the rocks and lock-on to
the weak spots. After some time, you should be able to finish this beast. It's
a difficult boss, but you can do it!

Strategy:

Uncover everything shown on my badly drawn map and target any large enemy
groups with the Great Fox's missiles. There's a ton of power-ups to collect
here, get as many as you can before the base battles. A3 will launch a missile
on Turn 3, and A1 will release reinforcements on Turn 3 as well, stay alert.
There's also a missile on the map, destroy it before it reaches the Great Fox.
The enemies are extremely tough, so think before you go into battle or decide
to use a missile. Zazan and Octoman will appear on 2 of the bases, they take a
long time to destroy, so make sure you have enough time for each battle. The
no-fly zones make it difficult to navigate, and the fog doesn't help either.

Anglar will attack you with another version of the Arrow Head. He will come

Strategy:

Quite an easy stage, if you ask me. Use the base to cover a large distance and
collect the missiles and intercept Squad a. If you're lazy, like me, you can
shoot down most of the squads with the Great Fox's missiles, seeing as there's
2 missiles near the base from the start. Make your way over the no-fly zone and
destroy the 2 enemy bases. A2 will launch a missile on Turn 2, so watch out for
that. A pretty easy stage for Katina. Bill Grey appears on Turn 3 to lend a

Strategy:

Waste as many enemies as you can with the Great Fox's missiles, and dive in to
intercept the missiles. The missiles are the only true main concern of this
battle, the asteroid belts serve mainly as annoyances. Otherwise, this isn't
too hard, so you'll be fine. Katt pops up on Turn 3, but by then, you'll
probably have most of the enemies wiped out. Still, it does mean an extra ship
to keep things in order. Enjoy!

Boss:

Pigma looks ugly now. Regardless, to defeat this little piggy, you have to
align his face correctly by shooting the blocks. Once you do, he will launch
a laser in the shape of his "lovely face", and reveal his inner essence, your
target. Attack the essence like mad to weaken Pigma. He'll then close up and
launch several missiles at you. Destroy them and continue the pattern of
aligning his face to expose his weak spot and shooting at it. He'll then launch
lasers similar to that of the Bozoids, squeeze through and continue shooting.
Finally, he'll unload fireballs like mad, you must hurry and align his face
again, continue shooting, and finally defeat Pigma! Congratulations, you've
earned Ending 8! Joy!

Strategy:

Wow, pretty tough indeed. Pick up the missile power-ups and the Fuel Cell and
attack any enemy squads close to the Great Fox. Use the bases to extend your
path and easily attack the bases. Clean up the fog with the screen to see
better and be careful of the no-fly zones. Be watchful of the enemy squads as
they'll come in much larger numbers than before. A1 will launch reinforcements
on Turn 2. A2 will try to launch a missile on Turn 4 as well. By now, you
should be able to take this kind of challenge.

Strategy:

A lot of fog, but it's nothing compared to the Venom stages. I would recommend
picking up the missiles on the path to get rid of the minor enemies. Head
straight for the enemy base to save time and turns. The no-fly zone is not much
of a hassle, since you can fly right under it. The base will send out a Bomber
Bird squad on Turn 2, but it's not a big deal.

Boss:

So, things didn't go as planned. To defeat Star Wolf, you must destroy their
crafts and avoid the bombs they drop on the field. Use U-turns and loops to
turn the tables on them. Bombs can also help take a chunk out of their health.
Beat the team and you can finish the stage! ...Again. >_>

Strategy:

Hot planet, isn't it? Attack the visible squad with either Fox/Wolf or a
missile to get it out of the way. Clear out the fog to reveal another squad and
the 2 other bases. A2 sends reinforcements on Turn 3, A3 launches a missile on
Turn 2. A1 is basically defenseless, so get it out of the way to earn 2 turns.
On Turn 2, you should have both squads gone and a missile heading in your way.
Send whoever's closer to A1 to it and send the other for the missile. Then
attack the 2 bases and collect the power-ups if you want. One more thing,
beware of falling magma rocks and the beacons for the mothership/missile levels
turned green for this stage.

Strategy:

As you can see, there are a lot of power-ups and enemies here. Take care of
the squads with missiles and using the ships. Pick up the missiles and shoot
the enemies down to save time. Use the 2 bases to your advantage and try to
intercept the 2 enemy missiles and destroy the mothership base. On the normal
encounters, beware of magma flares and enemies that hide underneath the magma.
This place is very dangerous and the magma can cause a lot of damage to your
ships. Stock up on the Fuel Cells and prepare for a major boss battle!

Boss:

Zoldge is the pilot of the massive Solar Satellite. Destroy the 2 circle-sized
facilities on the satellite when they open up. Beware of the Solar Fighters in
this area, as they will try to snipe you as you damage the satellite. Also,
since the fight takes place on the Solar Magma, watch out for falling rocks.
Avoid the 2 pink lasers that the satellite shoots and eventually, the 2 weak
spots will be gone. From this point on, you have to attack the top part of the
satellite and make it tip into the lava, damaging it. Keep on doing this, while
avoiding the lasers and rocks, and you finally destroy the satellite!

Strategy:

Bah, more fog. Clear it away to reveal the enemies and bases, as well as the
power-ups and get ready to take down the squads. If you're being overrun by
reinforcements from the bases, utilize your missiles. In fact, there are 3
missiles right in front of you as you start. All 3 bases are capable of
launching enemies and missiles, so be on your guard and use all 3 crafts.
Otherwise, you'll do fine here and get ready for the big battle with the Anglar
Emperor. (Again!)

A special note on this stage: James McCloud makes a surprise appearance on
Turn 5. He has an excellent ship, excelling in all stats plus a 3-second time
bonus. However, if you face the Anglar Emperor as him, you have to fight the
hardest version of him. Use him wisely.

Now he will send a ton of metal girders to block your path.
Try to manuever through them and continue your barrage on the maces until they
are destroyed. Anglar will finally come out and try to inhale you into his
mouth, resist with the brakes quickly. Now avoid his tile barrage and fire at
his appendage once more until he is finally destroyed once and for all!
Congratulations! You've earned Ending 6!

Strategy:

You know the drill, clear away the fog to reveal the enemies, bases, and
power-ups and use missiles when necessary. A2 - A4 can release reinforcements
and missiles at any time, so attack them quickly. The fog serves as an
annoyance, and the enemies are weak, so you can kill them quickly. There's a
couple of Fuel Cells around here, so picking them up for bonus time isn't a
bad idea.

Boss:

Another surprise boss battle! Time to face Zazan in his ZaZanga 9 ship.
I would take Slippy for the ride. Zazan will drop bombs everywhere, and you
have to shoot him down to finish the stage. Use U-turns and loops to catch him

Strategy:

An easy stage. Use Amanda to pass through the friendly base and cover the
opposite side. Destroy any enemies you come across with a missile or Slippy
and Amanda. If you have enough missiles, you can basically blast every enemy on
the map. Be sure to take the Fuel Cell for extra time and keep a lookout for
any missiles coming out of the enemy bases. This shouldn't take too long to
finish at all. There will occasionally be some reinforcements, but they're weak
and easy to take down with Slippy or a missile.
Ready for the last battle?

Boss:

Zako pilots the Devil Shark, a slightly different version of the normal Devil
Sharks you've seen before. Only this time, it's sectioned, and can only be
damaged by revealing its weak point after shooting its different parts. There
are also 2 enemies stuck under him, which can attack you when needed. It will
try to ram you to destroy you, so get out of its way. Keep on shooting his head
and weak point to eventually destroy him. Amanda is a good choice for the
battle due to her Multi-Lock. Once he's destroyed, congratulations!

Strategy:

Clear away the fog and shoot down the squads blocking your paths. With 3 ships,
this mission shouldn't be much of a problem. The main problem is the no-fly
zones everywhere and the fact that both enemy bases can launch missiles. Keep

of the missile on the bottom-left corner, remember, they can't be shot down by
the Great Fox's missiles. Not much else except blowing up the enemies with the
Great Fox's missiles! Have fun! ^_~

Strategy:

Use the friendly base and spread the team over the area to attack the enemies
and bases. Look out for the 2 missiles on the map, and beware of the no-fly
zones. There are 4 enemy bases, and at least one of them is capable of
launching a missile on Turn 3. Use missiles if you want to save time, but try
to earn some missiles for the next level, as it will lead to Ending 2. Once all
this is done, get ready for a boss battle.

Boss:

The Grunner is your opponent in this stage. I would choose Slippy for this
stage. It will run around the place like a maniac, and cause electric walls to
come up from the ground. Avoid them and shoot the Grunner to damage him. He may
also throw a volley of rocks at you. Avoid or destroy the rocks and continue to
damage the Grunner. Eventually, it will be destroyed and you cleared this
mission!

Strategy:

We're tired of Venom already! Split up the team and intercept the missile and
any enemy squads heading your way. Take over A2 as soon as possible and use the
missiles to shoot down enemies to save time. The bases can launch missiles and
reinforcements, so be on the lookout for enemies hiding in the fog. This is
pretty easy, as the enemies are famaliar, and you have 4 ships to help conquer
Venom! Get ready to fight the Anglar Emperor once again! For the last time,
hopefully.

You've earned Ending 2! More useless credits await you. >_>

Strategy:

An easy stage again. Attack A1 on Turn 1 and shoot down any enemies with the
missiles. There should be relatively few enemies left. Attack A2 and you should
be able to finish this easy stage. Beware of the missile above though, don't
let it hit the Great Fox! There are several power-ups to pick-up too, so be
sure to pick them up. Piece of cake, especially with 4 ships. But, get ready
for the final boss battle of this path.

Boss:

The Splitter is the boss of this stage. Looks like a giant sectioned missile.
The Splitter attacks with lasers coming out of its front end, move over to the
back end and shoot that end to damage the ship. Continue to shoot the backside
of the enemy as the pieces of the craft fall to the ground. The last piece will
send a flurry of lasers to shoot you down, barrel roll to deflect them and keep
shooting its weak spot. Eventually, it will be destroyed and Corneria is saved
once again! Congratulations! You've earned Ending 5!

Strategy:

Attack the enemy squads as soon as possible, and then get to the bases inside
the no-fly zones. Missiles will be launched from any of the bases, so keep a
lookout for any missiles or enemy reinforcements. There are relatively few
enemies, but they are getting tougher, so be careful. Use all 3 ships to your
advantage and make good use of the power-ups and missiles. After you collect
the cores, Andross's bioweapon will appear for yet another boss battle.

Boss:

The Killer Bee is Andross's bioweapon here. It's basically a super-sized
version of the Bee Fighter II. Choose either Fox or Wolf and target the Killer
Bee's belly to damage it. Avoid its attacks and continue to damage him. It may
occasionally teleport to confuse you. Once it's taken enough damage, the Killer
Bee will be destroyed, and you finally clear this stage! Its attacks include
sending a bee swarm at you and shooting a steady stream of lasers. Good luck!

Pigma really is ugly now.
Congratulations, you've

his remaining days living a quiet life with Krystal. But if a new threat
threatens the peace, will Fox keep his promise? To never fight again is a hard
thing to ask of a warrior...

Their son, Marcus, grows into a fine young pup, and the Fox family enjoys
a happy life together. Marcus enters the Cornerian Academy and follows his
father's path. The apple does not fall far from the tree, as Marcus is gifted
with unbelievable flying skill.

Marcus soon forms an elite squadron to defend peace whenever it is threatened.
He teams up with Slippy's son and Peppy's granddaughter, and tracks down

feelings...

Months pass. One dark day, Krystal makes a startling confession: "I'm sorry,
Fox! I can't do this anymore. I'm going back to be with Panther and the rest
of Star Wolf." Fox was overcome with grief and begged Krystal to stay... but
her mind was set.

Once again, Fox McCloud was forced to wander the world alone...and unloved.
But Krystal has no such regrets. She is perhaps the toughest of all the

Star Fox. But she ignores the talk and proceeds with her new life as a member
of Star Wolf.

Eventually, the slings and arrows of the populace are too much to bear. They
begin to hiss as she walks by, and name her traitor to her face. She is
alone...and hated. She pulls away from Star Wolf and tries to find meaning in
this new, cruel world.

Haunted by her past, Krystal abandons her life and flees to a distant galaxy.
Changing her name to Kursed, she survives by collecting bounties on the worst

they lost to illness many years ago. Bringing up memories both joyful and
bittersweet, father and daughter sit and talk until the morning light.

arrive on the now lush and green world of Venom.

Venom flourishes under Dash's leadership, and soon equals Corneria in terms of
both its enviroment and its scientific expertise. The planet is at the heart of
an empire ruled by Dash, who then makes an epic and inflammatory speech;

"Corneria is no longer the center of Lylat power! Venom's time has come!"

7. Slippy's Resolve-

The years passed. Slippy and Amanda had a veritable army of children, and
Slippy thought he could never be any happier. His children grew tall and strong
in the clean Aquas air, and loved to hear stories of how Dad flew with the
legendary Star Fox team.

Slippy decided to leave Star Fox behind and make a new life on the beautiful
planet of Aquas...with Amanda by his side. There was no indecision or regret on
his part. He would live for his family now...

Several decades pass. Slippy is now an old man who loves to recount tales of

only watch the sky and wonder...

How to obtain:

Stage 1: Contact Slippy
Stage 2: Locate Peppy first
Stage 3: Join the hunt on Aquas
Stage 4: End of Story

8. Pigma's Revenge-

Falco is consumed with rage. If all had gone to plan, he, Fox, and all the
rest would be heroes writ large upon a galactic stage, reveling in endless
retellings of their victory. Instead, fate has seen fit to ostracize Falco
from the Star Fox squadron.

And then, just when things were bleakest, Falco got a message from
Katt Monroe. "Forget those losers! Grab a couple of friends and form a new
squad!" Falco was usually too stubborn to heed advice, but this message came
at the right time.

Falco's attempts to comfort his old friend were futile. Fox lived as one
already dead, barely eating or sleeping. But then Falco had an idea that
changed everything...

Falco had a brainstorm; retire as pilots and engineer their Arwings into racing
machines. They would enter the high-speed world of G-Zero Grand Prix racing!
When Falco saw excitement return to his friend's face, relief coursed through
him.

i. Frequently Asked Questions
=============================

1. Are there options for a D-Pad control scheme?

No, the D-Pad is only used for shooting, not moving around.
You can't change it in Options, so you're stuck with stylus controls.

2. Can you choose characters in multiplayer/Wi-Fi?

No, the only ship you have is the Arwing II, the default ship for multiplayer
battles.

3. Did the first stage suddenly get harder after I beat the game once?

Yes, occasionally some levels will get tougher as you unlock more endings.

4. Any rail stages like Star Fox 64/Star Fox/Star Fox Assault?

Not really. The only true rail stages are the missile stages, yet they usually
last about 30 seconds and that's it. All other stages are in All-Range Mode.

5. I heard something about a strategy element, can you explain?

Each stage starts off on a map and you can touch your crafts and draw paths for
them. You encounter enemies on the map and engage in All-Range Mode battles.
Some strategic elements include enemies trying to destroy the Great Fox, no-fly
zones, which can't be crossed, and taking over bases. It's not difficult to
learn, so don't let this intimidate you.

6. Is this game good?

From my experience, I can say that this is the best Star Fox game I've played
since Star Fox 64, my personal favorite. Some may like the game better, and
some people hate the game, so play the game first to form your opinion of the
game. :)

7. Can you lose ranks on Wi-Fi?

As far as I know, no. Your rank can plummet into a negative percentage though.

8. What the--? How can that person grab the power-ups/stars even though he's so
far away?

It's called lag. No matter how good your connection is, you are bound to play
someone with a bad connection. The DS has trouble placing your opponent,
causing some strange things to happen. This is mistaken for cheating, but it's
something you have to deal with.

9. Voice chat in this game?

Well...not quite. You can't communicate online on this game with either text or
voice. But, for single-player mode, you can record your voice and make the
characters speak gibberish based on your own voice. You have to answer some
simple questions for the voice recording, and then you can test out the new
voices by tapping the character panels.

Some questions include:

What time do you go to bed?
How many brothers and sisters do you have?
What's your favorite food?

There are many more questions, but they're all randomly generated.
Don't worry, you can go back to normal voices by choosing Sound from the
Options menu and selecting Normal for Voice.

j. Multiplayer/Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection
========================================

Star Fox Command supports multiplayer for up to 6 people via Download Play and
4 people via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Download Play Instructions: The "host" must select Download Play from the Star
Fox Command Main Menu and touch "Recruitment". Other players must use the
Download Play option from the Nintendo DS Main Menu. When enough people join,
the host can cut off recruitment and begin the dogfight!

Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Instructions: You need either a wireless router or
the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector to connect to a Windows XP-installed computer.
Set your router or computer to allow the DS to connect online and choose "Wi-Fi
Battle" from the Star Fox Command Main Menu. You can adjust settings with the
DS and the computer. Once you connect to Wi-Fi, you will be given a Friend
Code, which you can give to your friends or users on online boards in order to
play with them online. Then simply select Battle Royale to play worldwide
players or enjoy Free Battle with Friends and rivals.

The main point of multiplayer is to grab as many stars as possible. Stars can
be obtained by shooting down opponents. A star will be left in their place, but
grab it fast, before it disappears or someone else gets it!

Battles are played in these 5 stages:

Corneria City
Fichina Mountains
Corneria Sea
Sea
Space

There are also power-ups to collect:

Twin Lasers
Plasma Shot (Stronger Twin Lasers)
Stealth Mode (Makes craft invisible to radar)
Bomb (Takes 3 seconds to go off once dropped)
Supply Ring (Fully restores health)

Battle Royale is also ranked, you can gain ranks by playing these battles
online.

You are rated from Rank Z-A, with A being the highest and Z being the lowest.
This will go up as you play in Battle Royale. Free Battle is all unranked.
Wins and Total Games are counted as well as Disconnects, known as Dropouts.

Also, the only playable craft in multiplayer is the Arwing II, nothing else.
