BACKGROUND INFORMATION(INTRO)

Intelligence reports of an unidentified object crash-landing on planet Daichi prompted immediate operative intervention. Investigating the wreckage, officers Rallen and Jeena with the Nanairo Planetary Patrol [NPP] discovered a man in a suspended animation capsule. They were able to revive the sleeper who told of an invasion of monstrous beings we now know to be the Krawl-creatures capable of devouring entire star systems. The "sleeping man" known as Aldous, explained to Rallen and Jeena how to awaken the only force capable of stopping the Krawl's onslaught: the Spectrobes. We had previously thought the Spectrobes to be extinct since the only contact reported has been through fossil forms. Apparently the sleeping man has a way to awaken the fossils from their slumber...

HINTS AND TIPS(HINTS)

Finding buried fossils and minerals

You can find all sorts of things buried on the planets in the game world of Spectrobes.

Fossils and minerals are buried in all sorts of places.

Pay particular attention to the bottom of cliffs and in the area around rocks and boulders.

You will often find things buried there.

The buried fossils and minerals change every time you play the game, so you won't necessarily find the same thing if you look in the same place during another game.

As you proceed through the story, some planets will refresh with a totally different set of buried objects.

     Training Spectrobes:

Leveling Up and Training:

Spectrobes grow by absorbing HP (health), ATK (attack), and DEF (defense) Minergy. The Health Minerals are moons, Attack Minerals are pyramids, and Defense Minerals are rectangles. The color indicates how much minergy it will give.

Yellow=C, gives 5 minergy

Green=B, gives 16 minergy

Red=A, gives 24 minergy

Purple=A+, gives 32 minergy

Black=Subtracts minergy. These are usually found in the Combination Minerals, where there are two minerals in one. While it subtracts minergy indicated by the type of black mineral, it gives quite a boost of minergy from the colored mineral. Not all Combinations have black minerals.

There are also special minerals. The Evolve Minerals and the Chroma Minerals. The Evolve Minerals *gasp* Evolve any Spectrobe who devours it. It's good if you need some quick firepower. This can be won by completing all 30 rounds in the Challenge match on Nessa, Area 2. Look for a flat vortex on the ground.

The Chroma Minerals change a Spectrobe into their custom colors, and back again. These can be excavated on Nessa, Area 2.

When its Minergy gauge fills to the top, a Spectrobe will rise one level. Spectrobes can grow up to level 128. Think carefully about the best way to allocate Health, Attack, and Defense powers when training your Spectrobes.

Evolution

The evolution from child, adult, and evolved forms can only occur in the incubator. You must place a Spectrobe that you want to evolve in the incubator for a certain period of time.

Certain Spectrobes must also reach a certain level in addition to spending time in the incubator before they can evolve. Others must reach certain Health, Attack, and Defense levels to evolve.

Making Friends

Spectrobes that have been trained together for a certain amount of time in the same incubator room will become friends. Spectrobes that are friends will have combo attacks that are far more powerful than normal.

Each Spectrobe can only become friends with one other Spectrobe at a time.

Friendships that form later take precedence over ones that form earlier.

     Battling

Leader Krawl Battles

Every Leader Krawl has a main body. You must destroy the main body to defeat the Leader Krawl.

Krawl Ultimate Techniques

Certain Krawl have the ability to use Ultimate Techniques.

When a Krawl uses an Ultimate Technique, its shadow will be marked by a red circle.

Fighting With Spectrobes

Each type of Spectrobe has its own form of attack. Each form of attack has different characteristics.

For example, close-range attacks bring a Spectrobe dangerously close to the enemy but cause a large amount of damage.

Long-range techniques are less dangerous but tend to be less powerful, and some attacks that are powerful at a long distance don't work very well at close range.

Learning about the different attacks of each of your Spectrobes lets you make Battle Sets that suit your personal fighting style.

     Hints for Cubes

Cubes contain all sorts of information about Spectrobe training, minerals, and properties. When you find a cube, make sure to bring it to Aldous so that he can analyze it for you.

Also, make sure to check the information on the Cube List. You may learn surprising new attack techniques from it.

     Properties

In the world of Spectrobes, there are three properties: "Aurora," "Corona," and "Flash." Corona is fire, Aurora is wind, and Flash is ice.

    * Corona is strong against Aurora.

    * Aurora is strong against Flash.

    * Flash is strong against Corona.

In addition, each property has a corresponding color. Corona is red. Aurora is green. And Flash is blue.

The Krawl are color-coded by property as well, so make sure to watch carefully and try to attack with stronger spectrobes.

Moving Through the Story (Talking to Jeena & Commander)

If you ever feel lost because you've been focusing attention on excavating and training Spectrobes, try talking to Jeena or Commander Grant to remind you about your current mission.

MAIN CHARACTERS(CAST)

Rallen:

Rallen is a young, ambitious Nanairo Planetary Patrol [NPP] officer. He is a skiled pilot who is always ready to take on a challenge. At times, his eagerness to get into the thick of things gets him into trouble, but his courage and sense of duty are well known by his superiors.

No one is sure why, but Rallen is the only one who is able to operate the Prizmod- a communication device used to command the mysterious creatures known as Spectrobes.

Jeena:

Jeena is Rallen's partner on the NPP. She is a communications and research specialist. Her expertise is useful on missions where data on ancient relics and technologies is collected. While Rallen is in the field, Jeena is able to relay critical information that helps him train his allied Spectrobes and counter enemy attacks by the relentless Krawl.

Aldous- AKA Mr. X

Little is known about Aldous. Rallen and Jeena respond to a distress signal and dicover him in the wreckage of an escape capsule where he has been in a cryogenic sleep for decades. His home planet was attacked by the Krawl and his scientific curiosity led him to develop a device that could harness the power of the Spectrobes to counter the Krawl threat. Aldous is the key to defeating the Krawl.

Commander Grant

The Commander is the head of the Nanairo Planetary Patrol and is Rallen and Jenna's supervisor. He oversees the safety patrols of the Nanairo system's five inner planets from the NPP HQ on planet Kollin.

It's unclear why he's taken a personal interest in Rallen and Jeena's latest assignment but he probably knows a lot more than he's willing to reveal.

Types of Spectrobes

There are 5 types of Spectrobes; Fossilized, Child, Adult, Evolved, and Ultimate.

A Fossilized Spectrobe can be found buried in the earth. Use your Search Spectrobe to find them. Only Child Spectrobes can search for fossils and minerals, and you can't use a Child Spectrobe for battle.

Once placed in the incubator and certain level/stat requirements are met (if any), they will grow to Adult Spectrobes. These can be used for battle, but lose their searching ability.

Once in the incubator and requirements are met yet again, they'll grow to their final form: Evolved. These are much stronger and the most efficient in battle; however, they also have no search ability. Changing the terrain (obtained by giving the Iota Cube to Aldous) to match their elemental property helps them to grow faster, and they absorb more minergy.

Ultimate Spectrobes can only be summoned by obtaining the legendary Geos, which you won't get 'till very late in the game. There are 7 types of Geos, each containing an Ultimate form Spectrobe:

Flame(Tindera)

Cyclone(Zorna)

Thunder(Fulvina)

Hammer(Larrup)

Plasma(Voltorn)

Ice(Artezza)

Wing(Shulla)

Only the Flame Geo can be obtained in-game; the rest require the Card Input System, obtained by giving the Upsilon Cube to Aldous, and you have to beat the game first. However, Zorna and Voltorn must be won in the Challenge Matches on Daichi(Boss area) and Aoaboshi(also at Boss area). For the codes to obtain these extra 4 Geos (excluding Zorna and Voltorn), please see the Fossil FAQ.

To equip a certain Geo, access the Prizmod (X), then select Battle Set. Next, choose Rallen, and select the icon on the very right of the list on the top left part of the screen. Just drag the Geo of your choice onto the Rallen icon and you're good to go.

To use a Geo in battle, aquire 4 units of CH Energy, press Y, then X, and watch the baddies go bye-bye.

THE KRAWL(KRAWL)

The Krawl are your enimies and travel around via black vortexes.

THE BATTLE SCREEN

Once you have a little run in with these pests, you get a chance to kill them. Let's not pass up such a fine offer. Of course, if the battle's just too tough, you can always run away by holding Select. You can't run away from bosses, though.

HP(Top Screen)

Shows the HP of you, your Spectrobes, and the Krawl.

Name(Top Screen)

Shows the names of you, your Spectrobes, and the Krawl.

Stat Boosts(Top Screen)

Shows the boosts in stats that your Support Spectrobes give you

Stamina Bar(Bottom Screen)

The blue bar in the bottom-left corner must fill in order to preform an attack, it only takes about 2 seconds, though

Battle Mode(Bottom Screen)

Pressing Y will toggle between Normal and CH mode. CH mode allows you to use CH attacks, if you have enough CH energy. Normal mode allows you to preform normal attacks by pressing L or R. Pressing L will make the Spectrobe on the left attack, and pressing R will make the Spectrobe on the right attack. There are 3 types of battle Spectrobes; one-stroke, two-stroke, and three-stroke. Your starter Spectrobes (Spikan and Zozane) are one-stroke Spectrobes, so simply pushing the L/R buttons will make them attack. Two-stroke Spectrobes will bring up a list of actions after pushing L/R. Attack(X), Charge/sometimes Stun(A), Follow(Y), and Stay(B). Third stroke Spectrobes allow you to attack a specific enemy. After selecting Attack, it will give you the option of attacking a certain foe, and the button to do it.

Rallen's Weapon(Bottom Screen)

You can toggle different weapons by pushing B, then pushing X to use Rallen's weapon. At first you only have a Glove, but you can purchase Swords, Blasters, higher level Gloves, and Suits with higher HP.

CH Energy(Bottom Screen)

By holding the A button, you can charge up CH energy. Charge enough, and a certain Spectrobe will preform a CH attack. Adult forms only need one unit of CH energy for their CH attack, but Evoled forms need 2. Charge all the way(4 units), and you can preform a Combo attack. After gaining 4 units, push Y to switch to CH mode, then press L+R at the same time.

Spetrobes who have become friends by training in the incubator together will have stronger Combo attacks.

Now, on to the Walkthrough

The Sleeping Man(SLEEP)

Looks like something crash-landed on Daichi, and the Commander wants you to find it and give a status report. Get ready for long missions ahead of you.

Before you leave the ship, save at the green Healing Pod, then keep going down until you exit.

Ah, nice and grassy. Lovely terrain. Anyway, go west and head down the small ramp, then keep goin' west and up a small ramp. Head to the east, down another ramp, keep going forward until you're on a dirt path, and go straight up. Examine the pretty shiny thingy, and enjoy your first battle.

Refer to my Krawl section on how to battle. And by the way, both of your Spectrobes are one-stroke.

The man is alive, it turns out, and you need to head back to the ship. Speak with Jeena and Aldous, proceed to the Lab Deck via the white pod and follow Jeena's instructions. Talk to Aldous to recieve your very first fossil.

THE SPECTROBES(SPEC)

Approach and start the Lab System, the pink-'n-blue computer like thingy, and select "Awaken". Use the stylus to slide the fossil up and to the awakening chamber, and touch "Start" with the stylus. Use your voice to awaken it. If there is a line, the voice meter must stay past that line for 3 seconds. If there's a bracket, the meter must stay within that bracket for 3 seconds. The louder your voice, the higher the meter goes.

Aww! This little guy's the easiest to raise; just look at those tiny stat bars! Rename him and exit the Awakening Chamber by pushing B. Next, select "Line Up" to set him as your search Spectrobe. Just touch "Search" at the top of the Touch Screen, and slide him in there. Congrats! You can now search for other fossils, minerals, and cubes!

Exit the Lab System and talk to Aldous for an explanation about excavating.

Go outside and hold the R button for your spectrobes to search. Orange sparkles are fossils, blue ones are minerals, and glittering rainbow ones are cubes. Remember to look around the base of cliffs and near rocks. Once you've found two different ones (Alpha and Beta), talk to Aldous to have them analyzed.

Save the Professor(RESCUE)

Once you recive the incoming transmission, return to Headquarters on Kollin. Exit the Commander's room by going all the way down and taking a left, then go up, through a door marked "503". Next, go all the way down and take a right. You'll eventually see a black pathway with green arrows, but don't take it. Keep going east until you see a man near a desk. Talk to him to recieve your weapons. Now go a little bit left and go up the zig-zaggy path with green lights through a door marked "502". Then, just keep going down 'till you exit the building. Go down the small set of stairs and head due east until you reach your ship.

EXCAVATION TOOL SHOP:After heading down the small set of stairs, keep going down a bigger set and go left until you see a path that goes southwest. Go down it, and go directly down until you can turn right down a set of stairs. You'll see this yellowish trailer-like thing. Talk to the guy inside.

RECOVERY ITEM SHOP:Go down the afore-mentioned set of big stairs right outside HQ, and go directly left. After a while you'll see a green star ship that looks kinda like yours. Talk to the man inside

BACK TO THE MISSION:Speak with Jeena, then examine the control panel near the two seats to start up the Interplanetary Travel System. Just touch Genshi (the volcano planet), then touch Area 1. Select yes, and you're on your way.

Once out, go west, down a little ramp, and head straight up towards a narrow ramp. Talk to the guy there to recieve the jetpack, which allows you to return to the ship at any given time. To use the jetpack, access the Prizmod (X), and select "Item". Just drag the jetpack on the Rallen icon and select yes. You can't use the jetpack in certain areas.

Continue on up toward an even narrower pathway.

Keep going northeast, toward the very top of the area.

Note:There are two entries to area 3. Only the one on the very top leads to Professor Wright.

Once you're in area 3, go forward until you see a path that leads to the right, and follow it.

ZOMGZ IT'S PROFESSOR WRIGHT!!

Approach him and enter a simple battle. I half-expected it to be something tough or even a boss, but I can't complain.

Head back to the ship. Looks like a man Named Cyrus needs your help.

TREASURE HUNTING(KEYSTONE)

Go to the Interplanetary Travel System [ITS] and select Planet 4(Nessa), Area 1.

Once out of the ship, go left a bit until you can go all the way down. Then, head right, through the blue tunnel.

Go right until you can go up, and you'll be presented with a two-way path. Take the right one, and go up when you can, then take yet another right. You'll come across a floor with blue arrows. Go upwards and talk to the blonde man near a gate.

Rallen isn't exactly pleased with his mission, but you get a cube that allows your Spectrobes to reach their Evolved form, so he decides it's worth it.

Ugh. I hate, deplore, and furthermore LOATHE this part. But with my help, hopefully it won't be as frustrating.

Go to the ITS in your ship, and slide the planet with your stylus until you see Area 3. Go there, and once you're out of your ship, go left until you come across a pile of rocks, then go down.

It's all straight up from here. If you went the right way, you should see a group of 4 rocks. Go in between them for the next area.

Take a right until you can go up into the ruins. That's all.

Go down the sandy ramp into your first room, then take a left and head down the long, narrow corridor.

Keep going right until you can go down, then continue going right and along the sandy path. Once you're in the last room, go up the stairs and outside.

Go left until you see a long staircase, and head up it through the green teleporter.

Go all the way down to the third elevator, go in, and go down.

Almost there. Once you've gone down, go all the way left, up, left, down, left, and up to another teleporter.

Now, just go straight up and retrieve your Keystone.

Go back through the teleporter, and I'm pretty sure you can use your jetpack here.

Return to Cyrus and the cube is yours! Your Spectrobes can now reach their Evolved Form(after you give it to Aldous, of course)! Now that your Spectrobes can evolve, start raising some Corona Spectrobes to their Evolved Form, if you haven't started already. Just trust me on this one.

AGENT UNDER FIRE(HQATTACK)

Whoa! What the heck?! The Krawl are attacking HQ!

Pretty stupid move, actually. It's the headquarters, so there's going to be alot of tough fighters.

It's reccomended you save, if you haven't already, because we have a boss coming up.

Return to the Commander's room annnd....

ZOMGZ WTH IS THAT THING??!!

It's the first Leader Krawl, and quite the pushover.

I just pounded him with combo attacks, really. But you can do whatever you like. There's no REAL strategy to defeating this guy except win.

JUST BROWSING(MUSEUM)

Looks like the Commander's having a meeting, so why don't you take this lovely time to go to the Museum? While you're at it, look for cubes under trees. Trust me, you'll want them.

Once you exit HQ, go to where your ship is, but turn down instead. Then turn right through a pretty blue tunnel. Go right until you enter a park-like area. Search for cubes near the first tree you see. It's the Upsilon Cube, which enables the Card Input System. For the codes to the CIS, please refer to the other walkthrough. Once you've nabbed the cube, go back down and along the dirt path, where you go right; up some stairs and a bridge. Go up when you can, but you should already see the Museum in your Top Screen.

Talk to the old dude near another Keystone. Apparently Webster does not like the fact that Rallen's found another Keystone. Must want it to be one-of-a-kind.

After your little chat, report back to the Commander's room and watch the little cutscene. Looks as if Ziba isn't doing too hot against the Krawl, and its 2 Moons, Akaboshi and Aoboshi, are out of control.

Go to the Interplanetary Travel System (which I will refer to as the ITS from now on) and select Planet 5 (Ziba), Area 1.

Once there, exit your ship and go down both sets of stairs. Once you're on a blue path, you pretty much just follow it until you see stairs. Go down them, and go northwest, on another blue path. Follow it, and go betwwen the two gray things.

Once you're in the second area, just go down the sets of stairs you'll find and go on another blue path.

Professor Kate's at the end, and she has another mission for you.

BIPOLAR MOONS(MOONS)

-BOSS WARNING! SAVE RECCOMMENDED!-

We think there's a Krawl nest on one of the Moons, because there's a big shadow and they're out of control.

Aoboshi is the one you want, so go to the ITS and select Area 3.

Once there, go a long way left until you can go northwest along a narow path. Then go left, down, and left again. I feel like I'm explaining levels on Dance Dance Revolution.

Go southwest until you can go up along a small ramp, then head straight up. It's another boss.

Note:This may not work without going to the other Moon and taking the same path to find nothing, but I don't know.

Stick to the usual strategy of combo attacks (preferably ones with Spectrobes who are friends), because you need to take out his fast-moving helpers ASAP. His moves are pretty easy to dodge from there on.

There's no sign of a nest, but there's one less leader Krawl in the Star System. Return to Professor Kate with your report.

She belives the ancient ruins actually are a starship, and the Keystones are, well, the keys. Time to get Keystone Numero Dos.

IT JUST CAUGHT MY EYE(MUSEUM AGAIN)

*Sigh*, time to go to the cranky old man again.

Talk to him and after thinking it out, he gives you his keystone.

Go to the same room in the ruins where you found Cyrus' Keystone, and place your 2 there. For directions, push ctrl+f and type in (KEYSTONE) to find the section.

Stupid, stupid NPP. They completely overlooked Cyrus' Keystone. You'd think they'd remember, going to the exact same room where they found it in the first place. Man, Cyrus is not going to like this.

DIAMONDS CAN BE A BOY'S BEST FRIEND(MINERAL)

-BOSS WARNING! SAVE RECCOMMENDED!-

What'd I tell ya? Cyrus doesn't like it one bit.

However, he could be persuaded by giving him the Diamond Mineral, found on Tabletop Mountain on Planet Daichi.

Go to your ship and go to Daichi, Area 1.

Wuh-oh. Looks like TTM is a dangerous place, and it has some strange aura that sucks the life out of things. Jeena says that excavators that head up there wear special Corona suits.

Corona IS stronger than Aurora, after all.

Need a suit, huh? There's only one place that sells suits, and that's the weapons shop on Kollin. The Corona suit costs about 12000 gura, so once you have enough, purchase it.

For directions to the weapons shop, push ctrl+f and type in (RESCUE) for the section.

Now you're ready to go the Mountain. Remember how I told you about raising Corona Spectrobes? Here's where they come into play. Since there's no Spectrobe suits, you have to use Spectrobes that are naturally Corona if you want to preserve their HP. Don't forget to equip your suit by accessing the Prizmod (X). Once you've pushed X, select "Battle Set", then choose "Rallen". Touch the suit icon on the top of the Touch Screen, and drag the suit onto the Rallen icon.

This is going to be more annoying than the ruins.

Once you're on Planet Daichi,go left until you're under a rock-like bridge. Keep oing and enter area 2.

It's Dance Dance time! Yay!

Go souhwest, left, up, left, up, and left again.

Rallen gets a little self-conscious about disobeying the sign, but Jeena knocks some sense into him. You go, girl!

Go through (yes, through) the sign, and go right, down, up, southeast, up a log, right, northeast, right, down, up, down, right.

You should be in a snowy area. Go up, right for a while, and up in between two trees on a very narrow pathway. Go right and then up.

You're back in a cave. Go up along another log, and turn right.

Once you're off the two logs, you'll see one leading up. Ignore it and go right. Go down another log and then right. Make your way up the zig-zaggy cliffs in a zig-zaggy fashion. Then head straight up for the exit.

You're now in the boss area. Just go left until you see a dirt pathway, and continue up it. Looks like something got to the mineral first!

This boss doesn't have any helpers, but he doen't need any. His spinning attack is virtually impossible to dodge, so just run. REALLY FAST. While you're running, hold the A button to charge CH energy. Once it's full, push Y to switch to CH mode, then push L+R at the same time. Pound him enough times and he's gone.

You might want to return to your ship with the jetpack, heal, and save. Cyrus won't take the mineral if it's damaged.

Head to where you fought the boss and search around the middle of the branch platform. It's recommended you use the Sonic Tool to break up the ground then the Drill S to dig it up.

Or you could just use the Drill S if you don't have the ST.

Talk to Cyrus and he'll fork over the final Keystone.

PHAROAH HAS A HOT ROD(DESERT SHIP)

-BOSS WARNING! SAVE RECCOMMENDED!-

Yes, yes. I thought the idea of pinning 2 bosses together was cheap, too.

Anyway, just head to the ruins and place the final Keystone in its place.

There's some serious rumbling, and it's not the engine turning over. Get ready for an easy boss.

I think this guy's only attack is extending his arm, but his two little helpers restore his health. Take out the healing jars with combos, then pound the main guy with whatever you like.

Enjoy the PWNSOME CUTSCENE!! Now you have a cool ship that can go anywhere in tne galaxy!

MAGNIFYING GLASS(ICEBEAM)

Now that you have your ship, go to the ITS, touch the green arrow, and select Meido (P7).

Wuh-oh. The good news is, you found the nest. The bad news is the whole of it knows you're here. You decide to retreat to the ice-ball known as Himuro.

You learn that the Krawl hate light, and have retreated to where the sun doesn't shine. You wonder why they aren't on Himuro.

Jeena figures out that the ice acts as a reflector for the sun's light, and you have to find some way to direct the reflected light to Meido.

Exit your ship to explore a little. Once you're out, go right and down the icy slope. You'll see a second one, but it doesn't go anywhere. Go down until you find another slope.

Once you've gone down that, go straight up until you're on a green edge. Go right until you see a long narrow pathway. Really long. Go down the path and you'll see 3 green teleporters. The one on top leads to a locked door, so go on one of the sides instead.

LEFT SIDE: Once you've taken the left teleporter, go left and down the slope. Go up until you see another stone slope. Go up it and make your way to the end of the platform, in a green circle.

You're in some kind of pyramid now. Go down the icy slope on the left, and go up. Keep going up until you're blocked by snow. Take a left and go around the pyramid. Once you're running down, go all the way down and take a left. Examine the glowing stone in the room and push the switch. Jeena suspects something, but won't say yet. Go back to the start and in the green circle.

Once you've teleported out of the pyramid, make your way back to start and where the 3 teleporters are.

RIGHT SIDE: Take the teleporter on the right, and go down the slope on the right. Follow the icy path up a glowing slope, and into another green circle.

Once you're in another pyramid, take the icy slope on the right, and go up, then along the trail of rocks and rubble you see.

Once you've come to the end of the trail of rubble, go up and take first right. Examine the second stone and push the switch.

Jeena's theory is being proved more and more, now, but we don't know what that theory is.

Make your way back to start and where the 3 teleporters are. Now that both switches have been pushed, the door's unlocked. Time to take the top teleporter.

TOP: Go through the unlocked door and up the stairs. Go up and examine the thing on the glowing stone in the middle. Oooh, shiny!

The glowing stone's a control panel!

Jeena explains how this planet was man-made, and its orbit was controllable.

Once you've started the control system, move the planet with your stylus so that the little light beam focuses directly on Meido. Success!

Exit the control room and return to your ship with the jetpack.

Talk to Aldous and he explains the Geos, and how to use them. You may have to talk to him more than once if you have new cubes.

Guess we better go get one, huh?

NICE AND TINDERA(GEO)

This pun was brought to you by Chaos_Shadow. The Ultimate Spectrobe's name is Tindera, just in case you don't get the joke.

Anyway, head to Genshi, Area 2.

This place doesn't really have multiple paths, so finding your way around should be a cinch.

Once you come to a stream of lava, the Relic Crystal turns it to rock, allowing a clear path.

Make your way along the only path until you come across your second lava stream. Once it's solid, head down its flow path into a previous lava pool. Get back on the stone path, solidify the third lava stream, head down its path, then continue along the trail.

Now you've reached the volcano, and the geo is in that huge pond of lava. There are 4 lava streams to shut off, so just go around the circle taking them out. Once the fourth one's off, go into the crater and examine the shiny thing on the stone table.

I just noticed there's alot of shiny things in this game.

Head back to your ship with the 'pack, and I'll give you a full tutorial about Geos.

Geos contain Ultimate Form Spectrobes, and there are 7 in all. Flame, Plasma, Wing, Ice, Hammer, Thunder, and Cyclone. You just recieved Flame, but the other 4 of the remaining 6 need CIS [Card Input System] codes and require you to beat the game. The other two need to be won in Challenge Matches. To equip a certain Geo, access the Prizmod (X), and select "Battle Set". Choos "Rallen", and touch the icon all the way on the right in the list on the top of the bottom screen.

Confusing, isn't it?

Anyway, just drag a Geo onto the red and green Rallen icon, and you're good to go.

To use a Geo, aquire 3 untis on CH energy, switch to CH mode with Y, and push X to use your Geo. Geos can only be used once per battle, but with their massive attack power, once may be all you need..

Now it's time to give the Krawl a tutorial, if you know what I mean.

THE FINAL TRIAL(END)

-BOSS WARNING (No, duh)!-

This is going to be more annoying than the ruins and Tabletop Mountain combined. Not only that, but is has 3 bosses in a row! You get healed after the first one, though.

I found my way to the boss with great ease. If you're one of those people, like me in most other games, who just can't seem to find it, though, I'm glad to help.

Right, so once you go to Meido and exit your ship, go right until you can go down, and just keep going down.

Eventually you will see sort of a funnel in the sand. Gow down the hole and head northwest, up the stairs. Make your way through the not-so-much-of-a-maze, and out the bottom.

I apologize if that sounded wrong.

Anyway, go down until you can go right, and just keep running right. When you come across a small dead end, just do down and continue going right.

Once you're in area 2, just keep going right for a long time, and when you come across a dead end, just backtrack and go down when you can, then continue going right. Enter the dam-like thing, and you're in the nest.

This place is the easist one to get around in, but I'll guide you just in case.

Go right along the purple rock until you come across a spongy-looking platform. Just follow along that path until you reach area 2 of the Krawl nest, made up of white platforms.

This area is like the volcano area in Genshi; no alternate paths.

Just follow along until you reach area 3.

Whoa! Look at all those spores! Hope Rallen isn't allergic.

Once again make your way along the one-way path to your first boss.

This guy moves ridiculously slow, but his two helpers generate small energy blasts that act as a shield, stopping close-combat moves in their tracks. Either use friendship combos, or Spectrobes who fire projectiles that have attacks stronger than 90 (90 is the friendship combo's damage). Use the Geo near the end, which does a total of 458 damage.

After he's down, walk past the body and suddenly the giant mushroom's spores heal you! It's bringing the Krawl back to life! All they have to do is come here and their wounds are healed. You gotta take out that mushroom!

The mushroom doesn't do anything except bring the two easy-to-beat Krawl back to life, so pound it with a Geo and let your Spectrobes take it from there.

The mushroom's down, but the Krawl aren't out! Get ready for the final boss.

Your eyes don't decieve you, he really does have 999 HP. It's the final boss, whadda you expect? This guy's interesting, as the first attack you pound him with is the only attack that will work. He moves slow and his only attack is swinging his short-range arm. Take advantage of this and pound him with combos.

When he becomes immune to that, use your Geo and continue the cycle. When he's low on HP, he'll start healing. Don't waste time charging CH energy and attack him directly to put him back in his place. Once he's gone, congratulations! You've saved the Star System and the whole Universe!

SURELY THERE'S MORE?(EXTRA)

Now that you've completed the game, you might be wondering what else there is to do. raising all your Spectrobes to Evolved is a nice occupation, but you can do that anytime.

Now that you've beat the game, you're able to obtain the other 4 Geos with the CIS and the 2 in the Challenge Matches. For the codes for the 4 Geos, please see the other Walkthrough. To switch between Geos, access the Prizmod (X) and select "Battle Set", then "Rallen". Go to the Geos section on the item list and drag the Geo of your choice on the red and green Rallen icon.

Not only that, but 6 Challenge matches have been scattered all over the Star System! At first there was just one on Nessa, Area 2, but now they're all over the place!

Remember those 2 extra Geos I kept mentioning(Plasma and Cyclone)? Here's your chance to nab them. Cyclone can be won by completing the 50 round match on planet Daichi, Boss area. Plasma can be won by completing the 65 round mtach on Aoboshi...erm, also the Boss area(coincidence?).

The other 4 Challenge Matches, with rounds ranging from 55 to 70, give Geos that you've already obtained with the CIS, so do them for Minergy and Gura. The prize at the end of those is unknown, as I have not yet decided to waste my time. But I digress...

Have fun! *fade*
