[INTRO] So, youve looked everywhere for a guide on EV training, and yet, you cant seem to find a guide that goes through all the hoops to bring you the information you cant seem to find, right? Well, thats the case I made this guide in, so, here goes. Helpful items, [ITEM] Now, you may be wondering why would I need items? Well, you dont, but youd be having a heck of a hard time without them, not to mention that it takes way longer without them, too. So these items are pretty much your standard EV Trainers Items, Here they are: These items will speed up the process in which you get EVs by Battling NPC Trainers/Wild Pokemon: Macho Brace, not the most recommended, but will do when you dont have certain Power items, Power Lens, Power Band, Power Anklet, Power Belt, Power Bracer and Power Weight all raise one stats EV point gain when earning them by battling, the Evs the Power Items give you are as follows: ___________________________ / Item: I Stat: \ I Power Bracer I Attack I I Power Belt I Defense I I Power Lens I Sp. Atk I I Power Band I Sp. Def I IPower Anklet I Speed I I Power Weight I HP I ------------------------------------------ \__________________________/ (I know its not the best box, but hey, its my first box!) K, so heres the run down, lets say you battle a Bidoof, and you defeat it, now if you didnt have a held item, Youd get 1 EV Point for HP, now if you had an Macho Brace, youd get 2 Evs, and if you had the Power Weight attached, youd get 6 whopping EV Points, but it gets better with Pokerus, in which you Add first THEN double, which would net you a whopping 12 EV Points! Items for deleting EVs: These berries will take EVs from a stat that you accidentally put them on, They are: ___________________________ /__Berry_____I______Stat)_____\ I Pomeg I HP I I Kelpsy I Attack I I Qualot I Defense I I Hondew I SP. Atk. I I Grepa I Sp. Def. I I Tamato I Speed I \___________________________/ Now, lets say you have 255 Points in HP you didnt need there, you would need 16 berries, the first berry would bring it down to 100, then the ones AFTER that would lower it by 10 until you have 0 in that stat, the problem is getting enough berries to remove enough evs. as theyre semi-rare. Course, you COULD use the AR code for all berries x999, you cheater. Now, the other items: Vitamins, when you have enough money to buy these expensive products, they will help you, as they give you a whopping 10 EVs in the stat they raise. Rare candies, these are by far, the quickest way to raise a Pokemons level to 100, BUT Be warned that if you hit lv. 100 before your Finished EV Training a Pokemon, you have lost your chance to finish! PERIOD. END OF STORY! EV Training Processes, [TRAIN] Now youve got at least some of the items, Right? Well, now onto the prcesses!! Now Im gonna use Sp. ATK. As an example in all of these processes, but if your looking for EVing another stat, just switch the Power item to one that ups that stats gain, switch the pokemon you battle to the one that gives you EVs for the stat your raising, and if your using Vitamins, switch to the vitamins that give you EVs for that stat, and then you set to go! Now, for the next few processes I suggest you to equip the Power item that give you EVs for the stat that you want, so for the examples, well use the Power Weight, and Im gonna assume the pokemon DOESNT have Pokerus, Now the 1st process: Step 1: Use 10 HP UPs. Step 2: Battle the Cowgirl on Route 209 (Beloow Solaceon Town) Closest to the Mud Ramp 6 Times, Step 3: Take off the Power Weight, Step 4: Battle 2 more Bidoof, There you have it! A Grand total of 252 EVs, but beware! If you get pokerus at ANY TIME after the HP UPs, The process has to be modified, and itll look something like this (excluding the HP UP Step): Step 2: Battle the Cowgirl 3 time, Step 3: Remove the Power Weight, Step 4: Battle 1 more Bidoof, And for the above process, you have to have had The pokemon have Pokerus the whole time, or it will be harder, but still doable, and if you wanted to max out EVs in a certain stat, just skip step 3, and leave the Power item on. This process is for those of you who are Hackers and dont want to spend the time to EV them properly: Step 1: Boot up the AR, Step 2: Enter the EV Modifier Code(s), the ones like HP UP rases HP to max BUT USE THEM WITH THE CODE LISTED RIGHT BEFORE THE OTHER EV CODES!!! Step 3: Load your game, Step 4: Give you Pokemon 1 AND ONLY 1 of the vitamin that corresponds with the code, There, you now have 255 EVs in one stat! good job, you cheater! Best EV giving Pokemon, [LIST] Now, you may be wondering which pokemon give the most EVs in a certain stat, and where they are, well, Im gonna tell you here, and this is also where Ill tell you the best trainers to battle, too! Thnx to Alexcalibur for the guide to use as reference! Best EV giving Pokemon: [LST1] *the numbers in the ()s are how many EVs the pokes are worth. HP: Route 201 Pokemon: Bidoof (1) Yep, pretty basic, and its pretty low level, too, Route 222 Pokemon: Gastrodon (2) It gets the job done, but the pokes are a little higher level, so that could be a good or bad thing. Attack: Route 202 Pokemon: Shinx (1) The basic method of EVing this stat, but not the quickest. Lake Valor Pokemon: Seaking (2), Gyarados (2) Much better than the Shinx method, but you need an Super Rod which you get after beating the game in the Battle Zone. Defensee: Oreburgh Mine Pokemon: Geodude (1), Onix (1) The best basic EV pokemon, Iron Island Cave Pokemon: Graveler (2), Onix (1) Steelix (2) Pretty good, the best plac I could find. SP. ATK. Old Chateau in Eterna Forest Pokemon: Gastly (1), Haunter (2), Gengar (3) Possibly the best option if you have a GBA Pokemon game in you GBA slot, if you dont only Gastly will appear, and Im pretty sure Gengar only appears in the room with eyes, Resort Areas Pond Pokemon: Golduck (2) Pretty much the best option if you dont hav a GBA game, SP. DEF. Route 223 Pokemon: Tentacruel (2), Mantyke (1) The earliest and best option I could find, it work pretty well. Speed: Victory Road Ponds Pokemon: Golbat (2) I think these are the only pokemon tha appear when surfing on the ponds here, pretty good for EV training if you pokemon is in the high-30s to high-40s and above. Trophy Garden of the Pokemon Mansion Pokemon: Pikachu (2), Pichu (1), Staravia (2) Pretty much the best option here, but be sure to run from other pokemo.
