4.0 First Story Walkthrough
Chapter One: A Storm at Sea
After you wake up and Zubat and Koffing take your partners personal treasure
you automatically go into
Beach Cave 4 Floors
There isn't anything bad inside accept for Zubat and Koffing but their at
the Pit of it.
Mini Boss Battle: Zubat & Koffing
Zubat & Koffing are very weak and can be beaten easily. Zubat is Lv.3 so
target him first and then go for Lv.6 Koffing. No strategy isn't good accept
for defence strategys.
After you have beaten Zubat & Koffing and get the Relic Fragment back, you
will form a rescue team with the partner.

Chapter Two: The New Guild Recruits
You will then go to Wigglytuffs guild and applie as apprentices. Go with
Chatot and get your 1st job. It is an item retrieval mission for spoink to
find it's pearl. For that you must go to
Drenched Bluff 6 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Lileep's constrict
Anorith's scratch
Chingling's wrap
At the opening in the end Spoinks pearl will be there. When your back at the
guild you will get rewarded and go to bed after eating.

Chapter Three: The Scream
In the morning you will meet Bidoof and he will show you around the guild you
must then go to town and meet Marill and Azurill and then meet Drowzee. Go
back to the guild and talk to Bidoof and find about Drowsee and go to save
Marill and Azurill but find out Marill wasn't taken and go to save Azurill in
Mt. Bristle
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Duduo's quick attack
Sinarak's scary face
Nidorina's poisen point ability.
Boss Battle: Drowzee
Drowzee is lv.16 so his moves would easily be weakened if the hero and
partner were a high level
After you've beaten him you will save Azurill and get awarded a bigger bag
and see Grovyle stealing the first time gear. Do a job and go onto the second
day.

Chapter Four: The Sentries
In the morning Loudred will ask you to do Sentry Duty. When you're done go to
sleep then in the morning do a job and go onto the next day.

Chapter Five: The First Official Exploration
In the morning Chatot asks you to investigate the waterfall to the west of
Town. First of all I should say that Marowak Dojo opened up as well, go there
if you think your team isn't strong enough or if you just want to be stronger.
I recommend going to Dragon maze, it has the most EXP in it. P.S. pokemon get
stronger the lower you get, like 2-5 Lv.s stronger and it would be more likely
to be 2 Lv.s then 5. P.P.S. Chimecho Assembly opens now you can add members.
Now for your investigation. When you arrive you find a cave behind the
waterfall you go inside to explore
Waterfall Cave 8 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Poliwag's water absorb ability
Grimer's poison gas
Tangela's sleep powder
Wooper's mud shot
Surskit's bubble
Barboach's water gun
When you reach the end your partner will push the gem and ye will be washed
off to the hot springs and when you return you will talk to chatot and go to
bed.

Chapter Six: Team Skull
When you wake up and go downstairs, you will bump into Zubat and Koffing at
the jobs bulleten board and find out that they're a rescue team and that their
leader is a Skuntank, a foul smelling pokemon. Do a job and go onto the second
day. You must do Sentry Duty. Do a job and go onto the second day. You must go
to some place to get Perfect Apples. That place is
Apple Woods 12 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Caterpie's string shot
Oddish's sweet scent
Paras's leech life
Weedle's poison sting
Exeggutor's confusion
Gloom's Acid
When you reach the end Team Sull will take all the perfect apples and in doing
so, preventing you from completing your mission. When you arrive back you find
out Grovyle has stolen another Time Gear. Do a job and go onto the second day.
Do Sentry Duty. Do a job and go onto the second day. You get a bigger bag. you
must then talk to Chatot after the talking.

Chapter Seven: The Guild's Big Expedition
You, your partner and Bidoof have to head to base camp. You arrive at the
Craggy Coast entrance. You have a choice of Side Path and Craggy Coast. If you
pick Craggy Coast you will advance. If you pick Side Path, when you get out
you will come back to the entrance. So pick your Dungeon and go to the
appropriate section.
Side Path 5 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Wingull's water gun
Spheal's encore
Gastrodon's(East Sea)water pulse
Craggy Coast 9 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Krabby's clamp
Dratini's twister
Wingull's supersonic
Gastrodon's(East Sea)mud bomb
Sealeo's powder snow
You will arrive at the Mt. Horn entrance, and get the same sort of choice as
you did above.
Rock Path 5 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Natu's leer
Shroomish's leech seed
Bonsly's flail
Mt. Horn 14 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Parasect's stun spore
Natu's night shade
Shroomish's effect spore

Chapter Eight: Groudon's Heart
You now arrive at Base Camp. You must now go find the Fogbound Lake. For that
you go to Foggy Forest entrance and get another choice.

Look out for these pokemon and their moves:

Houndour's roar
Kricketot's bide
Foggy Forest 11 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Dunsparce's yawn
Smeargle's sketch
Cherubi's helping hand
Zigzagoon's sand-attack

Pinsir's seismic toss
Find Groudon statue and get rid of the fog.

Chapter Nine: The Mystery of the Fogbound Lake
You now go to the Fogbound Lake entrance and to get to it you must go through
Steam Cave 8 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Numel's magnitude
Granbull's lick
Magmar's ember
Upper Steam Cave 8 Floors
Boss Battle: Groudon?
Groudon? is a bit of a slow-poke, and not the pokemon. It does move
properly, but it attacks once every two turns. Its a Ground type so hit it
with Grass/Water moves.
Meet Uxie and promise not to tell about the Time Gear.

Chapter Ten: Dusknoir
Meet Dusknoir, the very famous explorer. Chansey's Dayare and Xatu's
Appraisal open in town. Do a job and go onto the second day. Meet Dusknoir,
Azurill and Marill. Do a job and go onto the second day. Go and get Azurill
and Marill's Water Float in
Amp Plains 10 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Elekid's thundershock
Girafarig's psybeam
Electrike's lightning rod ability
Far Amp Plains 10 Floors
Boss Battle: Luxray & Six Luxio
Luxray & the Luxio are the same type which is Electric, so attack it with
Ground moves.
When you defeat them Luxray charges up an attack, but Dusknoir saves you in
time and get the Water Float, and go home and give it back to Azurill and
Marill.

Chapter Eleven: Grovyle the Thief
Tell Uxie about stolen Time Gears. Grovyle's picture is posted on the Outlaw
Board. to find another Time Gear you must go to
Northern Desert 15 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Sandshrew's fury swipes
Cubone's focus energy
Trapinch's faint attack
Carivine's vine whip
Rhyhorn's lightning rod ability
Cacturne's pin missle
Go to the Guild and when you go onto the next day you go to the quicksand and
find
Quicksand Cave 10 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Vibriva's sonicboom
Skorupi's Acupressure
Tyranitar's dark pulse
Quicksand Pit 15 Floors
Boss Battle: Mesprit
Mesprit is easy to beat compared to the fake Groudon, but if you're having
a bad time hit it with Bug/Ghost/Dark Moves.
Grovyle will then show up and steals the Time Gear. Time starts to stop! Get
out quickly!

Chapter Twelve: The Only Option
Dusknoir tells you there may be a lake guarded by Azelf. You touch Bidoof's
crystal and see Azelf and Grovyle. To find them you go to
Crystal Cave 11 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Graveler's selfdestruct
Seviper's glare
Wormadam's(Sandy Cloak)rock blast
Donphan's knock off
Shieldon's swagger
Golem's rock polish
When you reach the end You must solve a puzzle and go to
Crystal Crossing 14 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Floatzel's aqua jet
Absol's pressure ability
Glailie's ice fang
Boss Battle: Grovyle
Grovyle is a grass type so hit it with Flying/Fire moves until hes gone
(FYI Grovyle doesn't need to be beaten, even if you lose the outcome will be
the same).
Dusknoir then arrives to help after you're knocked out. Grovyle escapes,
pursued by Dusknoir. When you get home, Officer Magnazone relays a message to
gather at the town square.

Chapter Thirteen: Dusknoir's Secret
Dusknoir reveals that he and grovyle are from the future. He then says that
Grovyle is trying to stop time and paralyze the planet. You must now spread
false rumours to trap Grovyle. Do a job and go onto the second day. Grovyle
has been captured. A hole in time appears in the town square with Dusknoir and
Grovyle in front. Dusknoir pulls you and your partner into the hole.

Chapter Fourteen: Into the Future
You and your partner are jailed and taken to be executed. Grovyle asks you to
help him. Escape with Grovyle. Escape to
Chasm Cave 8 Floors

Take out your partners one and meet lapras who takes ye and Grovyle(who
Wigglytuff brought)to the Hidden Land.

Boss Battle: Dusknoir & Six Sableye
Dusknoir is a Ghost type so hit it with Ghost/Dark type moves. And Sableye
is exactly like Spiritomb. Your partner places his treasure in the Rainbow
Stoneship. Grovyle sacrifices himself to take Dusknoir back to the future.
Ye board the Rainbow Stoneship.

Post-Story 1: Guild Graduation
After the anouncement of you graduating go into town and talk to Ursarang
and Tediursa and then go to
Mystifying forest 14 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:

Flygon's dragonbreath
Torterra's mega drain
Boss Battle: Wigglytuff and Guild
Hit Wigglytuff with a seed to immoboze it and take out the rest of the
Guild first.
After you pick up the treasure and go to Luminous Springs where you are now
able to evolve an find out that the hero and partner can't evolve. You then
return to the Guild and officially split off from the guild. You are now able
to carry 48 items and get 10000 poke from the rescue federation. You then move
to sharpedo bluff.

Post-Story 2: Scizor the Explorer
Final Maze opens in Marowak Dojo. You can change leaders at Chimecho
Assembly. Do a job and go onto the next day. Talk to the Mr. Mime beside the
Kecleon Market and go in search of Scizor in
Blizzard Island 20 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Azumarill's hydro pump
Piloswine's snow cloak ability
Delibird's only move present
Vigoroth's fury swipes
Nosepass's sandstorm

When you're through Blizzard Island you will take a break and then go through

Boss Battle: Froslass
Hit Froslass with a seed A.S.A.P. before she can freeze you or your
friend(s) then hit with as much force A.Q.A.P.(as quick as possible)before it
wears off.
When you defeat her she will leave and you will save Scizor and get rewarded
the secret rank on your Explorer Badge

Post-Story 3: Manaphy
Do a job and go onto the next day. Talk to Sunflora at the Guild B2F and get

Finneon's storm drain ability
Lapras's perish song

After you've cleared B20F collect the egg and go home. Manaphy then hatchs
from the egg and you must give it a blue gummi at the guild and then again at
Sharpedo Bluff. At the Beach, Manaphy gets a fever and faints. For medicine
for Manaphy you must now go to get the phione dew in
Miracle Sea 18 Floors

Lanturn's volt absorb ability
Lumineon's water pulse
Gorebyss's psychic
Deep Miracle Sea 4 Floors
Boss Battle: Gyrados
I recommend using Electric moves as Gyrados is a Water and Flying type
When you've rescued the Phione by defeating Gyrados they will give you the
Phione Dew and you will give it to Manaphy and send it off to sea.

Post-Story 4: The Aegis Cave
Do a job and go onto the third day. Find Team Charm in B2F of the Guild.
You and Team Charm decide to go to
Aegis Cave
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Unown's only move hidden power
Machamp's cross chop
Crobat's confuse ray
Boss Battles: Regice, Regirock, Registeel,
Regigigas, 4 Hitmonlee and 4 Brongzong
For the Regi Elements they all have a common weakness; Fighting, use that
against them. As for Regigigas he has a slow start ability so thats a bonus
as well as having Team Charm with you, and Regigigas is a Normal type so not
many moves will affect him alot except for Fighting, which is it's only major
weakness.The Hitmonlee are a low level compared t Dialga so they should be
easy to defeat them and the Bronzong, like Regigigas, has only one major
weakness: Fire.
After you defeat them you will examine the red monument and get to go to
Concealed Ruins.

Post-Story 5: Azurill's Nightmare
Do a job and go onto the second day. Cresselia appears in your dream. Do a
job and go onto the second day. Cresselia appears again in your dream. Azurill
is carried to the Guild in a never ending slumber. You go in
Search of Drowzee, who is Azurill's only hope, in
Mt. Travail 19 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:

Hitmonchan's sky uppercut
Scizor's double hit
Heracross's close combat
Shedinja's wonder guard ability
Bibarel's super fang
Drowzee is at the top. You will take him to the guild and he will send you
into Azurill's dream which is actually a nightmare. He will send you to
The Nightmare 17 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Spinda's teeter dance
Wobbuffet's shadow tag ability
Miltank's body slam
Blissey's double-edge
Lickilicky's refresh
Clefable's metronome
At the end of The Nightmare you will find Cresselia there you prepare to fight
when Drowzee appears and Cresselia disappears. You will return to the Guild
and tell everyone about the spatial distortions and try to find a way to fix
it. You ask Lapras at the beach and suddenly Palkia appears and wisks you away
to
Spatial Rift 15 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Magnazone's Discharge
Electravire's motor drive
Spiritomb's ominous wind
Deep Spatial Rift 10 Floors
Boss Battle: Palkia
He only has one good weakness(all others are half weakness's)and that is
Dragon. Immobolize it then hit it with as much Dragon moves or if you don't
have any then hit it with Grass, Electric or ice moves.
When you defeat it, it will fall into a thing like Azuril did and you will
enter it(don't worry, it's not a dungeon)and find Cresselia there telling
Palkia to destroy you and your partner. The real Cresselia appears and says
that the other Cresselia is Darkrai, who then leaves saying he will be waiting
in Dark Crater. You will then go to the Guild and tell everyone about Darkrai.

Post-Story 6: Adventurers Again
Talk to Cresselia and go to
Dark Crater 15 Floors
Look out for these pokemon and their moves:
Camerupt's earth power
Rhyperior's earthquake
Infernape's flame wheel
Deep Dark Crater 15 Floors
Boss Battle: Darkrai, Arbok, Rhyperior, Aggron, Magcargo and Mismagius
Immobolize Darkrai, then attack Arbok with Ground/Psychic, Rhyperior with
Water/Grass moves, Aggron with Fighting/Ground moves, Magcargo with
Water/Ground moves and Mismagius with Ghost/Dark moves. And when your done
with them get Darkrai with Fighting/Bug moves.
After you defeat them, Everyone except for Darkrai leaves. Darkrai rips a hole
in time and tries to escape but Palkia appears and attacks Darkrai as he
enters it. The hole in time then vanishes, as does Darkrai!

Post-Story 7: Manaphy's Return
When you regain control you will be waking up in Sharpedo Bluff. When you walk
outside you must talk to and recruit Cresselia. Do a job and go onto the third
day then head to the beach and Reunite with and recruit Manaphy. Do a job and

day then Manaphy will tell you about Marine Resort which you can now go to.
