[GAPL] 1. Gameplay
========================================

1.1 Basics

The general aim of the game is to get rid of all the ontama on the screen as
they appear, this will send the ontama onto the scrolling notes bar (at the
top of the touchscreen), filling in a note that corresponds to the colour of
the ontama, for most notes, 1 ontama will fill it, however, there are a second
type of note which takes multiple ontama to fill.

In order to get rid of an ontama, there are 3 main ways:
- Tap the ontama, for small ontama this will simply take a single tap to get
rid of it, however with larger ontama it takes 2 taps
- Circle the ontama, instead of tapping, you can circle multiple ontamas of
the same colour, this will also get rid of large ontama instantly, however,
you have to make sure that the circle is closed, no gaps allowed. This will
also net you bonus multipliers, if you rid multiple ontama at the same time
using this, you will obtain bonus multipliers for the corresponding notes,
the multipliers are:
1 ontama - x1
2 ontamas - x2
3 ontamas - x3
4 ontamas - x4
5+ ontamas - x5
Note: These multipliers do not stack, if you have a long note that has lets
say 7 ontamas, and you clear them in 2 groups (3 and 4), you will get the
highest multiplier that you cleared (in this case, 4 ontamas cleared in 1 go,
thus a x4 multiplier).
- Blow, this is basically the ontama bomb, it clears the screen of all ontama,
use this in an emergency. To use this, simply blow on the mic or tap one of
the blue dots just below the notes bar.

Once the notes have been filled, you have to press them as they pass the black
circle on the top left of the touchscreen, depending on your timing, you are
given a score for each note pressed on time, a word will pop up below the
black circle depending on your timing, will say Good/Great/Master.
Hold notes (longer than the normal notes) requires you to press the button
down at the start of the note, and release the button at the end of the note,
this counts as 2 notes basically.

1.2 Advanced Gameplay

As explained before, by getting rid of ontama from the screen, the
corresponding notes will be filled at the top of the screen, however, there
are 2 types of ontama which do not correspond to any notes, these being white
and black ontama, the white ones are very useful and should be collected if
you can as they give a small boost to your performance gauge, the black ones
however should be avoided at all costs, they lower your performance gauge if
you tap on them, what makes them annoying is that they move about and sometimes
cover up other ontama, thus forcing you to tap on them to get rid of them, a
way around this is to simply circle around, by circling, it'll get rid of the
coloured ontama but leave the black ontama behind. These 2 types of ontama will
disappear from the screen if left long enough.

Chains (combos) are the most important thing in calculating the score for a
song, as your chain builds, so does the score for each note, the starting value
for the score for a note is 300 (Master timing, 0 chain), and will increase
linearly whenever the chain increases (300 -> 360 -> 420), The exact amount it
increases by each time is not known, but is approximated to be around 60 points
per chain (at 176 chain the score for a Master timing is 11220 points). If you
are trying to achieve a high score in free mode, try to keep your chain as long
as you can, if you break it near the middle, it is advised to simply just
restart the stage as it makes a huge difference to the final score.

Double notes - These are the most deadly of all notes in my opinion, think of
it as you will as 2 notes on top of each other, the only way to get rid of
these is to use your right hand to press the YXAB buttons corresponding to the
notes (up/down note will require X and B to be pressed at the same time),
however it is easier to use a combination of left and right hands to do these
notes (for up/down note, left hand press UP on the directional pad and right
hand press B), for most this would mean having to take your stylus off the
touchscreen for a little while, which is devastating in some hard levels, my
advice is to simply use a BLOW to clear the screen if there is still a number
of ontama on the screen. These notes only appear rarely in hard mode.

Score Cap - There exists a score cap for single songs, once you reach 999,999
points in any given song, you will gain no more points there after (your total
score for challenge mode can surpass this as it is the sum of 4 songs, however,
each individual song cannot exceed 999,999 points).
