This is a story of the age ushered in by the passing of the Great Creator, the divine architect of our world. The people were long protected by the Six Forms of Magic and the Seven Wands left to them by the Creator. The wielders of magic, Magicians, maintained law and order. The Seven Wands were entrusted to seven especially powerful Magicians, called Sages, and passed down from one generation to the next. Thus the power of the Creator was kept safe, and the many benefits of magic made the people's lives rich and easy. In this way, a thousand years of golden, blessed peace continued across the world. But a fateful event was to forever change the world. The Diva of Twilight, a Sage and keeper of the Wand of Balance, lost all hope in those she was charged to protect, the people. Disillusioned and angry, she called forth monsters - terrible creatures form another realm - into the world. The death knells of the golden age tolled across the land as the monsters ravaged towns and killed wantonly. Many of the other Sages, the defenders of the people, succumbed to the power of the Diva. Hope, now little more than a flickering candle, was about to burn out completely. THEN, A YOUTH BY THE NAME OF ISAAC... Isaac, a 14-year-old boy separated from his parents amid the chaos enveloping the world, is found by a venerable Magician who lives deep on the old forest. Taking him in as her student, the Magician begins the boy's training in magic. Not long afterward, Isaac's father appears before him in the forest. Without saying a word he hands Isaac a wand and then is gone. "What did father want to say to me?" Isaac wonders. His desire to find his father is about to spark a great adventure! For this is the story of hope, however small, in a world ravaged by despair. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WALKTHROUGH [WTRU] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Before Chapter 1 begins, there is a short prologue. After a bit of dialogue between the Bishop of the White Night and the Diva of the Twilight, you will control the Bishop's attacks against the Diva. Once it prompts you to do so, tap the Diva on the screen to use Wide Light on her and her Bats. After three hits it'll go back to some dialogue, after which you are able to attack again. Tap the Diva's Bats with this one to use Gold Light three times. By now, all of her bats should be dead. If not, you'll be able to use God Wyrm against them. If you managed to kill them, God Wyrm won't do anything. The scene will end with the Diva taking the Bishop of the White Night under her control. Then, Chapter 1 will begin. ********Chapter 1: Father's Final Message******** [CHP1] ------------------------------------------------- After a quick view into the mind of Isaac, you are brought into a flashback of when Isaac met his father for the first time in years. His father, Russell, the Bishop of the White Night says nothing and leaves. It turns out it was all a dream, and so your "grandmother," an old Forest Witch, wakes you up to go out into the field and train. When your grandmother, or "Master," as you call her, asks you if you have your wand, tap either selection. If you tap no, you'll learn that by wand, she actually means the stylus. Then she'll start teaching you how to move. Tap yourself on the screen and then tap the treasure chest. This type of control takes some getting used to, unless you've played other RTS games. Keep in mind that after you issue a command, your selected units will become deselected, and you will have to select new units to issue commands to. Master will then tell you to hold down L (or R, if you're left-handed) to bring up the Rune Template. Do as she says, and then let go. At the next selection screen, tap "Yes!" unless you would like to hear the description again. Then, when told to do so, bring up the Rune Template and draw the Fire Rune as shown on the top screen. For a very successful rune, I suggest starting at the bottom-left circle, making the point at the top circle, and finishing at the bottom-right circle. This is by far the easiest rune to make, as well as the rune I, personally, use the most. Now, touch the bottom screen to unleash a fireball. Once you've done that, Master will summon three Misty Mush for you to practice on. They're fairly weak, and will only take one rune each to kill if you draw it accurately enough. Once you're finished with that, Master will teach you the Water and Light Runes, and explain MP to you. Then, she'll summon three more Misty Mush for you to practice on. Unlike the previous battle, these enemies will actually attack you. Use fire and water evenly to defeat them. You won't have to use light, but it wouldn't hurt to throw in one or two before you kill the last Misty Mush. Congrats! You've just finished your first real battle! After the battle, Master talks to you for a while and sends you on a chore to deliver some Healish to a neighboring town, Tamta Village. At both selections, pick either choice, depending on if you feel like being a brat or not. Now that we're on our own, double tap the circle with the blue symbol on it to go there. Here, a dialogue scene starts up where a new character is introduced: your pet bird, Parakeru. You'll then start a small, easy battle. Battle: Wet-Wood Forest ----------------------- Orkus (5) Misty Mush (3) -------------- This is really an easy battle. Throughout this battle, remember to use light if you get too badly hurt. Go into the small alcove south of your start position to encounter an Orkus and a Misty Mush. Use both fire and water to defeat them, then get back out. Go east to find a bridge area with three Orkus. Use the standard fire and water strategy to defeat them. If you run low on MP, retreat until it fills back up. Beyond the bridge there is one more Orkus and two Misty Mush. Use the standard strategy and finish up the battle. After the battle, head south for the sake of leveling up. After a short scene, another battle will start up. Battle: Wet-Wood Forest ----------------------- Orkus (7) --------- The same strategy as the last battle works here, too. If you want to finish it as quickly as possible, take the following path: -Kill the Orkus nearest your starting point. -Head south until you find another Orkus, kill it, then head east. -After reaching the end of this path and killing the Orkus there, head north and kill the Orkus slightly north of you. -Head south until you can't anymore, then head west, killing all of the Orkus along the way. After the battle, head back north and then west to Tamta Village. After a scene where you deliver the Healish to the chief, you'll start another battle against monsters that are attacking the village. Battle: Tamta Village --------------------- Orkus (6) --------- This time, the monsters come to you. You're in the middle of the village, and the monsters will come at you one two at a time. Use the standard attack strategy, and stay put. Once there are only three monsters left on the field, they'll stop coming after you. Just take them down one at a time. The battle should be over quickly enough. Once the battle is over, Leonard, a mysterious character, will appear on the eastern edge of the map. There will be an in-battle scene where you learn the Dark Rune, which allows you to capture monsters and use them to help you fight. It has a fairly small range, but is insanely valuable towards the game. Now, you'll learn how to use your monsters in battle. It's very much like controlling Isaac, and is explained in-game, so I won't go much further into it. Once Leonard tells you to attack with your monsters, assign one Orkus to attack each Misty Mush. Then, a battle with your own monsters will commence. Battle: Tamta Village --------------------- Misty Mush (6) -------------- Have all of your monsters group together with Isaac in the center of the map. Then, have them all attack one Misty Mush at a time. Use your standard magic strategy, only make sure to capture one Misty Mush once it's low enough on health (two or three pixels should be low enough). ------ Life Bracelet, Level 1 ------ After the battle, accept the Life Bracelet you get and add the Misty Mush to unit list, as you should with all good items and new monsters. Put the Life Bracelet on the Orkus, and head back to the east, and you'll very quickly come across another scene. Here you meet Trista, a clumsy girl who joins you on your quest. When she asks if you're okay, pick either option. If you pick the first option, you find out that she's the Wind... Well, anyway, no matter. If you pick the second option, it's revealed that Trista is actually the Sage of... Well, anyway, no matter. Lend her the wand if you want to when she asks. Either way, she won't be able to accept it. Now, you learn the Wind Rune and yet another battle will begin. Battle: Windmill Plains ----------------------- Orkus (11) ---------- The challenge here will be protecting Trista. Killing the Orkus will be no problem, but they might get to Trista before you can do anything about it. Use fire and wind runes, as they are the easiest to pull off. Constantly heal your monsters, and just make sure Trista doesn't die. You should be able to get through this battle after a try or two, and you'll get a lot of experience for doing so. After this battle, tell Trista she can come over. Go back to Tamta Village. Once there, a little girl named Natsu will talk to you for a while. After that, go back to Home of the Forest Witch. After a scene where, after Isaac leaves to get some water, the Diva of the Twilight shows up wanting the Wand of Light. After that, you'll need to head east to Silverpeak Gorge. Once there, Isaac finds that all the fish are dead and the mana is nearly gone from the lake. Time for battle! Battle: Silverpeak Gorge ------------------------ Death Fish (3) Undine (5) -------------------- Right before the battle starts, you learn the Earth Rune. This will come in handy seeing as you need to reach the exit, rather than defeat all of the monsters. You can capture the Death Fish later, so just run from them, using earth to create walls and block them off. Then, head north and melt the ice with fire to get the experience from the treasure chest. Once you reach the Undine, battle them one at a time, or have your monsters distract them while you head for the exit. Either way, make sure you try to capture an Undine. After the battle, head back to the Home of the Forest Witch. Once there, Isaac can't find Master. Battle: Home of the Forest Witch -------------------------------- Battle Orkus (2) Orkus (4) --------- You should capture the Battle Orkus on the right first. Then, take out the Orkus using whichever element you're most comfortable with. If your spell wheel is still evenly balanced, make sure you use all of the elements to keep it that way. Do the same on the left, only defeat the Battle Orkus this time. After battle, Isaac returns home to find it on fire and the Diva of the Twilight demanding the Wand of Light from Master. Trista takes Isaac and flies away to safety. Then the Diva of the Twilight curses and kills Master, and a new Chapter begins. ********Chapter 2: Shadow Across a Broken World******** [CHP2] ------------------------------------------------------- This chapter begins with Trista telling Isaac the story of the Diva of the Twilight. It turns out that the Diva already has obtained five wands on her quest to obtain all seven. Isaac also learns that his father was the Bishop of the White Night, the head of the seven Sages. Once this is over, change your line-up to either Battle Orkus or a combination of Orkus, Misty Mush, or Undine. As soon as you're done with that, head north to Wet-Wood Forest. A pre- battle scene will pop-up where Trista tells you about the Mana Crystals. It seems that they have been defiled by the monsters, weakening the mana. After purifying the first crystal, Trista will start telling you about Outer Zones, which spawn monsters continuously. You'll learn to hate them as the game progresses. Battle: Wet-Wood Forest ----------------------- Purple Cap (14) Orkus (2+) ---------- This is a different kind of battle. Instead of defeating monsters or escaping, you need to purify all the mana crystals. When you start out, go to the nearest Purple Cap and capture it. Then, head north across the bridge it was on to find a mana crystal, another Purple Cap, and an outer zone that spawns Orkus. Kill the Purple Cap, and stand on the outer zone while you kill the Orkus that came out of it. Have one of your monsters stay on there while you purify the crystal, and keep it there the rest of the battle. As far as I know, there is no way to get to the treasure chest behind the Purple Cap, so kill it if you want, that one doesn't matter. Kill the group of Purple Cap that you encounter here, and head across the bridge. After heading north a ways, you'll come across a large group of Purple Cap guarding a mana crystal. Kill all of the Purple Cap, cleanse the crystal, and head east. Kill the enemies and cleanse the next crystal you come across. Then, stand on the outer zone and kill the rest of the enemies. Keep one of your monsters on the outer zone and cleanse the last crystal. After the battle, head north to a patch of Wet-Wood Forest where the Home of the Forest Witch used to be. In the scene that follows, pick the first option so that Trista stays with you. Now, head east to another patch of Wet-Wood forest, where an evil mage will attack ambush you. Isaac gets upset, nay, pissed and decides to fight back. Mini-Boss: Wet-Wood Forest -------------------------- Brigand Wizard (1) Orkus (2) Misty Mush (6) -------------- The first thing you should do is go north or south and cleanse the mana crystal, then attack the Misty Mush that are headed straight for you. Cleanse the other mana crystal and kill the remaining Misty Mush. Advance on the Wizard and kill the Orkus. Take the treasure in the chest and then kill the Purple Cap. Once all of his forces are gone, go all out of the Brigand Wizard. Use water against him constantly, because that's what he's weak against. He may end up killing all of your monsters. If this happens, just attack him with water until you run out of mana, and run away. Wait for your MP to recharge, heal yourself if you need to, and attack him again. It's really not that hard a fight, once you know what to do. ------ Wind Shield, Level 1 After this is another scene of little importance. Blah blah find the sages. Change up your line up if you want, and head east to Silverpeak Gorge. After a short scene that tells you a little bit about the Water Sage, also called the Master of the Curtain Mist, you are left with the choice to go north or east. A different choice will ward a different battle. If you choose to go north... Battle: Silverpeak Gorge ------------------------ Hydra (3) Death Fish (4+) Blue Shog (6) ------------- This is another purification battle. After purifying the mana crystak you start out at, the first thing you should do is capture a Death Fish and a Hydra, found on opposite sides of the bridge ahead of you. Ignore the Death Fish coming out of the Outer Zone until you get to the next crystal. Once you're there, kill the Death Fish using fire. Then, have your monsters weaken a Blue Shog for you to capture. Make sure to help them out using wind otherwise the defiled crystal will just heal them. Once you kill the Blue Shog, cleanse the crystal and move on. Head across the bridge, kill the Blue Shog with fire, and cleanse the crystal. Do the same with the Death Fish at the last crystal, and you're done! As long as you don't try to kill every monster in this stage, you should be able to make it in time. If you don't, try not capturing any monsters and just using fire on every monster you see, that should be a lot faster. If you head east... Battle: Silverpeak Gorge ------------------------ Death Fish (3) Undine (9+) Hydra (3+) --------- This is definitely the harder of the two battles. There are a lot of ice blocks that you need to melt with fire. Weaken one of the Death Fish with wind to capture it. Then, kill the other one and move on to the Hydra. You'll need to leave a monster on the outer zone here to kill them all. Then, head south and kill the Undine there. After that, head a little north and then east to get the last Death Fish. Once all that's over, head all the way north and use the outer zone strategy to defeat the remaining Undine. Phew... easier said than done. When you finish either battle, which may take a couple tries, Leonard will show up and basically start hitting on Trista. Oh, he tells you more about monsters, too. Move on to the northeast part of Silverpeak Gorge, where you will meet Popokura, the Master of the Curtain Mist. He's being controlled by the Diva of the Twilight, and you must defeat him to stop her control. Boss: Silverpeak Gorge ---------------------- Possessed Popokura (1) Devil Fish (9) Undine (3+) Hydra (3+) ---------- This is the first real boss of the game, so it might take a few tries. If you haven't yet, go north to capture a Death Fish and a Hydra. If not, just defeat all of the ones that get in the way. Keep yourself on the outer zone, and attack Popokura from the north with fire. Also, it might be better to use more monsters rather than stronger monsters in this battle, so that you can distract Popokura longer from attacking you directly, because his attacks hit your weak point for MASSIVE DAMAGE. If you have 5 UP, I suggest using Battle Orkus and Undine. If you only have 4, replace Battle Orkus with Orkus. The Master of the Curtain Mist will come out of his controlled transe when you defeat him. Tell him you know what he's saying, and then tell him you'd like to become his student in order to learn duo runes, which are much more effective than single runes. When you're practicing duo runes, do every combination you can to complete your spell book thus far. Keep in mind that when the order of the runes is reversed, it's a different spell completely. ********Chapter 3: Remnants of Hope******** [CHP3] ------------------------------------------- The first thing you do in this chapter is learn the level 2 Water Rune, which I'll be referring to as water 2. ********Final Chapter******** [CHPF] ----------------------------- Coming soon! ********Light Path******** [LPTH] -------------------------- Coming soon! ********Dark Path******** [DPTH] ------------------------- Coming soon! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ENDINGS GUIDE [ENDG] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Coming soon! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BOSS GUIDE [BSGD] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Coming soon! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SIDE QUESTS [SQST] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Coming soon! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Location Battle Guide [LBTG] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Coming soon! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Monster List [MLST] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Coming soon! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Item List [ILST] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Coming soon! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Spell Book [SPBK] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Coming soon! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Frequently Asked Questions [FAQS] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Q: What are the names of all the Sages and their titles?
