This FAQ is for the game Inuyasha A Feudal Fairy Tale. In this FAQ, you will learn how to use and control the character Shippo. The reason I decided to make this FAQ is because I saw none for Shippo. I felt bad for the little guy, so who else would be good enough to make him a FAQ but I? Well, anyway, believe it or not, this is my first FAQ, so I hope you like it. ======================================================================= 2. ADDITIONAL COPYRIGHT I decided to add this in case I missed something. Inuyasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale is copyright 2003 by Rumiko Takahashi. 2002-2003 Bandai, Sunrise, etc. Trade marks and copyrights contained in this document are owned by the copyright holders. ======================================================================= 3. WHO IS SHIPPO? You may be asking yourself this question right now. Who exactly is Shippo? Well, I'm about to tell you right now. Shippo is a small Fox Demon, who met Inuyasha and Kagome during their journey. Despite his small size, he was a big help. Because he is fast, a quick-attacker, and quite nosey, he's actually quite useful along the journey. Now he and his friends continue their quest to obtain all the pieces of the Sacred Jewel. ======================================================================= 4. MOVE KEY Well, since I am sort of lazy, I decided to use abbreviations for the control button needed for the moves I list. U=Up D=Down B=Back F=Forward T=Triangle S=Square C=Circle +=And (Plus another button) W=Weak Attack S=Strong Attack SA=Special Attack X=Counter (X) FD=Forward Dash (R1) BD=Back Dash (L1) SP=Switch Places With Your Partner (L2) DA=Double Attack (R2) *=Jewel Shard Move ======================================================================= 5. USING SHIPPO Now, here's the section of my FAQ where I tell you how to use Shippo. Although he is very small, Shippo is a master at dodging attacks. The other players cannot touch him with move of their attacks because Shippo is about 1/4 their size! You can go up close to your opponents and use the Multiply Spell, or attack from afar and use the Fire Bomb. You can confuse the opponent by using Transformation, and them off with Shippo's almighty Illusory Top. Like I said earlier, Shippo is hard to attack because of his height. Most of your opponents can attack him with their normal attacks unless he jumps. Although Shippo has weak attacks, you can use his height to your advantage. Stay far away from your opponent because most of their long range attacks can't touch him. Use your long range attacks to get rid of most of their health. If you want to use close ranged attacks, be careful, because it's easier to hit Shippo at close range. Do quick charges toward your opponents, and continually use combo attacks. By doing so, you can beat most everyone with this little demon. Shippo can snatch his opponent's Jewel Shards with his Fox Fire attack. The Fox Fire attack is close range, so don't try it from a distance. Although this attack isn't very strong, it can take multiple Jewel Shards from your opponent with one usage. Use this to your advantage to gain power, and you'll be unstoppable. That's about all you need to know to master Shippo. Now, on to the next section of Shippo's FAQ. ======================================================================== 6. SHIPPO'S SKILL/MOVE LIST Now, here I will tell you how to use each of Shippo's attacks. Most of them are tricky, so be sure to practice them a lot. Weak Attack W(T): Shippo continues combo moves against the opponent. This attack is quick, but weak. Strong Attack - S(C): Shippo continues stronger, but slower combo moves against the opponent. Multiply Spell S: Shippo will multiply into three, and attack the opponent. Fire Bombs (Firecrackers) U+B: Shippo tosses a firecracker at the opponent, burning them and taking out health. This attack will only work if Shippo is in midair, so be sure to do so. Transformation D+S: Shippo will transform, and mimic his opponent's looks. *Fox Fire* - Shippo engulfs himself in flames. This attack can be used to snatch Jewel Shards from the opponent. Illusory Top (SA) F+F+S: This is Shippo's Special Attack. He will hurl a huge spinning top at the opponent, dealing massive damage. ======================================================================== 7. IN-DEPTH MOVE LIST Many of you may not know what I mean about the attacks in the move list, so this section of the FAQ will tell you more about each move. This excludes the strong and weak attack combo moves. Be sure to try out these moves, and master them so you can be sure you'll wipe out the competition with this small fox demon. MULTIPLY SPELL is a medium ranged move. This move allows Shippo to multiply into 3. All 3 of him will then charge at the opponent, dealing damage based on when the attacked landed (at the beginning, in the middle of the attack, etc.) This attack is quick, and can be used to knock opponents off guard, or take out a bunch of health. FIRE BOMBS, also known as FIRECRACKERS, is a long ranged move. In this move, Shippo leaps into the air, tossing several firecrackers towards the opponent. Once landed, the firecracker explodes, severely damaging the opponent's health (and skin!) You must be sure Shippo jump when he uses this move, because if he doesn't you won't use the attack you were planning to. TRANSFORMATION allows Shippo to mimic the opponent's looks and moves (example: if your opponent is Kagome, Shippo will transform into Kagome, mimicing all of her looks and attacks). It can easily be stopped by attacking Shippo with a Special Attack. FOX FIRE is a close-ranged attack. This move completely surrounds Shippo in flames. When close to an opponent, even a single attack with this move can knock multiple Jewel Shards out of the opponent's possession. Once the jewel shards are obtained, Shippo's attacks will become more powerful. This attack is very useful to gain power, especially against tough opponents, such as Naraku, or Kikyo. ILLUSORY TOP is Shippo's Special Attack. When you use this attack, Shippo will shoot a large spinning top at the opponent. Once landed, the top will strike the opponent multiple times, making a decent combo hit, and dealing massive damage to the opponent's health. When using this attack, Shippo's special attack meter will go down, so be sure you are using this attack at the right time. You are almost done reading this FAQ. Just a few sections to go! ========================================================================== 8. CLOSING Overall, I think that Shippo is an amazing character. He's quick, powerful, and kind of cute, too! I encourage people to use Shippo in their battles, simple because he is active, extremely fast, and short! May the short rise, and take on people larger than they are. I hope you enjoyed reading my very first FAQ, and may we meet again. ========================================================================== 9.
