Fullmetal Alchemist DS was released in Japan some time ago. I waited a bit,
before coming to the conclusion that it won't be coming to America -- at
least not any time soon. Being as big a fan as I am, I decided I need to
own it. So, I proceeded to import it. It's a great game, and I reccomend
that other fans do the same, if they haven't already. That being said, it
was a relatively short and easy game, except for a few tricky parts. I've
mainly decided to do this FAQ for my own enjoyment, but who knows? Maybe it
will actually help someone.

Touch Screen: Tapping the large alchemy array on the screen will open a menu
of books. You can then select a book. Depending on which one you have open,
you'll have to icons on the screen, which will be different. You can touch
these icons to use alchemy. You can charge your alchemical attacks before
using them if you have alchemy symbols floating around on the screen. You
can gain those by defeating enemies.

Occassionally, you'll also use the touch screen for other things. For
example, connecting dots to complete an alchemy array, or to control the actions
of a mini-game. Instructions are given in Japanese, but I'll also do my best
to explain what to do at these parts.

.----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.----.----.
|    |    | Stage 1: Cornello's Temple                   (STG01)  |    |    |
'----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----'

In the first room, you'll mainly be getting used to the controls. You'll
have to take out thirteen guards with either alchemy or melee attacks. It's
really not that hard, but if you do take damage, you can always bust open the
wooden barrells in the area, for some health-restoring cow icons. Once you've
taken out the guards, head to the right side of the area, to the alter. You
will then be shown an alchemy array. To move on, simply press the dots, one
at a time, as they turn purple. After you finish, a stairway will be revealed.

In the basement, you'll find Cornello, but he's not ready to fight just yet.
Instead, he'll use alchemt to create some spike traps for you. You can use
a running jump to get over the first one. The second set is alot larger. You
should probably power up your rock blocker alchemy, to create a line of them.
Then, jump onto them and do a running jump to get across. Do this for the
next set as well and you'll reach the exit of the room. To get through the
next room, all you'll have to do is knockout twelve more guards.

Keep an eye on the statues in the room behind that. They look harmless enough,
but every few seconds their eyes will glow, and they'll cause some rocks to
fall from the ceiling. Wait until they are acting normal, then do a running
jump past them. If you do get hit, there are plenty of barrells in the room
that you can smash. You should be able to find some health-restoring cows
inside them. Make your way to the stairway on the left side of the area, to
move on. Then, it's just another hallway with gaurds for you to take out.
After a cutscene, you'll face your first boss. Well actually, it will become
a normal enemy later in the game... but let's call it a boss.

        []=====================================================[]
         ||  Boss: Father Cornello's Chimera                      ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || This guy isn't that smart and thankfully, even though ||
         || his looks would say otherwise, he isn't that strong. ||
         || He'll simply hop around with no real intentions for ||
         || the duration of the fight. You can either hit him when||
         || he comes near you, every time he does so, or you can ||
         || take him out with one shot, by charging your cannon to||
         || it's highest setting. I say, go with that. ||
        [__]=====================================================[__]

After the fight, Cornello will retreat, and Ed will persue him. In the
first room you start in, there will be a few barriers in front of you. Take
them out with Ed's cannon alchemy, and head forward. You'll have to take
out eight guards in the room. After doing that, head forward to the next
hallway. There, the ceiling will be dropping down on top of you, one piece
at a time. Simply double tap the control pad to run, and don't let go. You'll
be fine. Once you escape the hallway, you'll be in a fight with Cornello on
the roof of the temple.

        []=====================================================[]
         ||  Boss: Father Cornello                                ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || You won't have to actually fight against Cornello ||
         || directly. Instead, you'll just have to fight all of ||
         || the beasts he creates with alchemy. Every time he does||
         || so, his life bar will deplete a bit. You only have to ||
         || wait it out. You can take out the chimeras by using ||
         || the cannon, or by simply attacking them. After you ||
         || kill one though, be careful. Cornello creates an array||
         || of machine guns each time you do so. Either create a ||
         || rock blocker to shield you, or jump on top of them to ||
         || avoid the gunfire. He'll create three rounds of guns, ||
         || so keep your guard up. Take out three chimeras, and ||
         || the fight will end. Cornello's ring will malfunction ||
         || on him, and he'll be unable to continue. ||
        [__]=====================================================[__]

.----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.----.----.
|    |    | Stage 2: Central Railway                     (STG02)  |    |    |
'----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----'

You'll start off the level in a passenger cart of a train that is being
hijacked. There are twelve terrorists in the car that you'll have to kill,
so rush forward and get busy. Some of them will have guns -- obviously you
will want to take those ones out first. After you've taken out all of the
bad guys, head to the end of the car, and you'll find a passenger tied up.
Approach him, and you'll enter another mini-game of sorts.

You'll be shown a series of ropes, and you'll have to untie the passenger
before a timer runs out. There will be a few ropes going horizontally, then
one rope in the middle intertwined between them. In numerical order, pull
the following segments of the rope in the direction shown.

               .=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=.=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=.
               |                1       |                   |
               |        .--. .-------.  | o 1 - Pull Right  |
               |        | 3| |       |  | o 2 - Pull Down   |
               |  --.  4|  '-|--.    |  | o 3 - Pull Up     |
               |    '---'    |  '----'  | o 4 - Pull Down   |
               |                   2    |                   |
               '=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-'=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-'

Afterwards, Ed will head to the roof of the train. There, you'll find alot
more criminals to face. Be careful though, as they've gotten a bit trickier.
For one, a guy with a machine gun will come up from the panel Ed entered from
the moment you step forward. To prevent this, as soon as you start, look at
the alchemy screen. You'll notice a special symbol in the lower-right corner.
Touch it, and Ed will use alchemy to seal the panel. Problem solved! Proceed
to rid the roof of criminals -- and don't forget to seal the remaining two
panels as well, because they count towards the number of enemies remaining.

Continue to the right, to the next car roof. It's just more of the same
there. You'll find 16 more crimals, and a few more panels to seal. Continue
further ahead, and things will change though. You'll find yourself inside the
train with control of Al.

Take out the first few criminals in front of you with basic attacks. Then use
Al's cannon alchemy to destroy the pile of crates in front of you. You'll
find a few more enemies and another pile of crates in the room. After you've
cleared them out of the way, though, you can simply leave through the door on
the right side of the car.

In that car, you'll find a fire. Power up your rock blocker alchemy, and
create a line of three of them above the fire. Then, jump onto them and do a
running jump to clear the flames. There's ten or so criminals there for you
to fight. Only a few of them have guns though, so no worries. To exit the car,
walk up to the door. You'll again be shown an alchemy array. Simply tap the
dots in the order that they turn purple and you're all set. You'll then again
take control of Ed, who's still on the roof.

There's nothing special on the roof -- just more criminals. There aren't even
any panels from which machine gunners will pop out. So just clear the area
of enemies, and make your way to the roof of the fuel cart. There, you'll be
shown a circle. Using the touch screen, trace over the line of the circle.
Every time you trace over a line, another one will appear. Keep doing this
until you've successfully drawn a transmutation circle. Be quick though, as
there is a timer. If you take too long, you'll have to start over. After
you've drawn the array, Ed will head back inside the train, and get ready to
take on the terrorist leader. He is very intimidating with a name like Baldo!

        []=====================================================[]
         ||  Boss: Baldo                                          ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || Baldo doesn't have a set pattern, and that can make ||
         || him a little tricky. To have a better chance at ||
         || defeating him, you should know his different attacks. ||
         || His most common attacks are simply jumping at you and ||
         || slashing you with a sword, or shooting his gun at you ||
         || from a distance. Sometimes he'll even jump and then ||
         || shoot down at you from an angle. Lastly, sometimes as ||
         || a taunt, he'll stand still and shoot at the ceiling. ||
         || this will cause barrells to fall to the ground. ||
         ||                                                       ||
         || If you have enough alchemy symbols, you can hit him ||
         || with a powered up gold cannon. That will take off a ||
         || third of his health or so. Other than that, try to ||
         || stay moving when you see him jumping. After he slashes||
         || -- and hopefully misses -- you can combo him from his ||
         || backside. When he's shooting, set up a quick blocker ||
         || if you have time. It shouldn't be that hard to defeat ||
         || him if you're careful. But to make things easier, the ||
         || barrells that he keeps creating? Destroy them and you ||
         || can find some health-restoring cows inside! Nice! ||

|    |    | Stage 3: Metal vs Flame Contest              (STG03)  |    |    |
'----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----'

In a bonus chapter, just for some fun, Roy Mustang will end up in a fight
with Ed, to prove to his peers that he can indeed win. Now if you've watched
the show, or read the manga, Roy did win -- quite easily in fact. However,
in this game, you aren't granted the luxury of being able to continue if
you lose. You're going to have to defeat Roy.

        []=====================================================[]
         ||  Boss: Roy Mustang                                    ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || First of all, you need to know exactly how Roy plans ||
         || to fight. And that's the easy part: He's just going to||
         || stand on the right side of the screen, moving up and ||
         || down when necessary, and he's going to hit you with ||
         || everything that he's got. And you'll have to deal with||
         || each of these tricks differently. ||
         ||                                                       ||
         || His main attack is to walk up and down swiftly, firing||
         || clouds of flame at you. They are large and move fast, ||
         || but there's no special trick to avoiding them. You'll ||
         || just have to exercise quick reflexes and dodge them. ||
         || He can also generate large flame tornados. You'll know||
         || when he's ready to do this when he begins to glow red.||
         || You can't block these, so don't try. Instead, retreat ||
         || to the far left of the area. They'll fade away before ||
         || they can reach you. Lastly, when Roy snaps his finers,||
         || he'll create three smaller flame tornados. These will ||
         || appear next to eachother, and move vertically along ||
         || the path. Just stay between the two, and you won't ||
         || take any damage.                                      ||
         ||                                                       ||
         || When Roy is shooting the flame clouds, he'll be moving||
         || fast, and you'll be too busy dodging to attack. When ||
         || he is creating the large flame tornados, glowing red, ||
         || he is invincible. And when he's creating the small ||
         || tornados, he'll simply quick-dodge anything that you  ||
         || throw at him. This leaves one chance to strike. As ||
         || soon as you dodge the large tornados, run to the right||
         || as fast as you can, and you can catch him posing. Hit ||
         || him with a cannonball at just that time, and he won't ||
         || have time to dodge. Keep this up, and he'll go down. ||
        [__]=====================================================[__]

|    |    | Stage 4: Pinako's House                      (STG04)  |    |    |
'----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----'

This stage is nothing but a mini-game. Louis Armstrong is cutting some logs
for Pinako, and you need to make sure he doesn't screw up. He will need to
cut ten of them. One at a time, drag the log on the touch screen over the
green target, and wait for him to chop it. Then, move on to the next one. If
you don't do it fast enough, Armstrong will miss, and you'll see him cry.
It's funny enough to be worth missing once in purpose. Providing you don't
miss three times, you'll move on to the next stage. Otherwise, you'll have
to start over.

.----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.----.----.
|    |    | Stage 5: Fifth Laboratory                    (STG05)  |    |    |
'----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----'

From the start, head to the right. You'll come across a few green electrified
cylinders. Switch to Al's cannon alchemy and blow them down. Then continue
on to the next screen. There, you'll have to watch the panels in the walls
carefully. There are blades coming out of them, and chopping downward at the
ground. Wait for them to go back into the wall, then run by. Keep moving
until you reach a doorway with no door in it. Then wait for some bats to
fly out of it before moving onward. They'll hurt you if you touch them. After
that, it's just a few more blades to avoid before you reach the next room.

In this room, you won't be able to control Ed with the D-pad. Instead, look
at the touch screen. You'll notice a four by four grid, with some small
circles at the top. Watch the screen closely, as some foot prints will be
shown on it. You'll then have to tap the boxes in the order the prints were
on. If you miss, Ed will take some damage, but will move forward on the top
screen. If you get four in a row, he'll move forward on the touch screen
without taking damage. Once he moves three times -- taking damage or not --
he'll be safely out of the hallway. Obviously losing health isn't a good
strategy, however.

Next, is a mini-game, that can be incredibly frustrating a times. Ed will
have to outrun a large boulder that is chasing him. At the bottom of the
screen, is an Ed icon, and a boulder icon. There's also two boots: one on
each side of the screen. You'll have to alternate pressing the boots, as
fast as you can. This will move Ed towards the right side of the screen. If
you can get him all the way to the right without having the boulder touch
him, you'll move on. Otherwise, you'll have to start over. It's hard to do
with one stylus. I suggest either both of your pointer fingers, or a pair of
Q-tips. Both work fine. It's no walk in the park, though. After you escape,
you'll take charge of Al, who is fighting Barry the Chopper outside.

        []=====================================================[]
         || Boss: Barry the Chopper ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || As you may be able to guess from his name, Barry likes||
         || to chop! He has two cleavers on him, and he'll try and||
         || hurt you with them. He has both standing and jumping ||
         || slashes to watch out for, as well as one special trick||
         || up his sleave. He'll run at you, slashing the blades ||
         || so fast that they show up as a pink blur. Facing Barry||
         || head on just won't work; He WILL overpower you with ||
         || his blades. On the other hand, he has nothing on Al's ||
         || cannon. So just get away from him as soon as possible,||
         || and hit him with your cannon. ||
         ||                                                       ||
         || After you do that, you'll have to wait a few seconds ||
         || before you can fire; But Barry doesn't. When he's hit ||
         || he'll get right up, and he usually gets aggressive. ||
         || He'll either run back and forth chopping a few times, ||
         || or use his blades as a boomerang on you, usually. If ||
         || he does throw his blade, and you can nail him with a ||
         || punch, he won't be able to block it, and he'll go ||
         || down. Your best bet is to stand back and use cannon ||
         || attacks, though.                                      ||
        [__]=====================================================[__]

        []=====================================================[]
         || Boss: The Slicer Brothers ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || Immediately after the fight with Barry, you'll take ||
         || control of Ed, who is fighting another monster inside.||
         || This is actually two different souls fused to one suit||
         || of armor, but that doesn't make the fight any more ||
         || difficult. You just need to know what to do; and that ||
         || would be to find the pillar on the left side of the ||
         || room, and use the special alchemy symbol that appears ||
         || on the touch screen, to turn it into a statue. This ||
         || will cause the Slicers to attack it. Combo them from ||
         || the back when they are distracted, and the head will ||
         || fly off! Use a cannon on the body when that happens ||
         || for some big damage. Melee attacks work too, but you ||
         || don't want to get too close; He's good with a sword. ||
         || After a while, he may pick up his head again. When ||
         || that happens you'll have to create another statue. He ||
         || shouldn't last more than two rounds of headlessness. ||
        [__]=====================================================[__]

The level still isn't over though, even after the fights. Walk through the
large door on your right to reach another hallway. The floor is steaming
there but there's nothing dangerous about it. If you run along the bottom
of the screen, and don't stop, then you won't get hurt. The only thing you'll
have to watch out for, is the doorway with no door in it. There's bats there.
Keep going until you reach the next hallway.

There, you'll find a large amount of spikes poking up and down in the
floor. Although it may not look it at first, there are spaces between them,
where you can stand and not get hurt. Carefully make your way along the "safe
spots" every time the spikes go down. After passing them, you'll have to
be weary of two blades that are coming out of panels in the walls. After
that it's just a few more spike pits to hop over. There are even barrells
between the pits which contain some health!

In the next room you enter, there will be three cages on the wall. Each of
them have a chimera behind them. Guess what. The cages aren't going to remain
closed. You'll be facing the chimeras one at a time. They're nothing to worry
about though. They aren't anything you haven't faced before. Just keep on
the offensive, and they won't be able to hurt you. Once you finish the third
one off, the stage will finally end.

|    |    | Stage 6: Yock Island                         (STG06)  |    |    |
'----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----'

This stage is actually a flashback of the training Ed and Al underwent as
young boys. It's a mini-game stage, in which you'll have to sneak past the
island man, to reach Ed and Al's fish. This stage can be pretty difficult if
you can't translate the rules. Basically, what you have to do, is use the
stylus to move Ed, then press the speaker in the corner to call for Al, who
will then walk to Ed. The thing is, however, if the island man sees you,
you'll have to start over. There are gaps in the bushes, and he'll be able
to see you if you stop in front of them. You also have to be careful of the
fox. If you see a fox, tap it to scare it off; otherwise it'll take your food
and you'll have to start over.

There is a diagram of the area shown below. Take your time, and stop at each
of the places marked rest. Only move between them when the Island Man is on
the other side of the area, not looking. The same goes for when you are
calling Al to follow you.

|    |    | Stage 7: Dante's Mansion Grounds             (STG07)  |    |    |
'----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----'

        []=====================================================[]
         ||  Boss: Greed                                          ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || In this form, Greed isn't very strong. He's fast, yes,||
         || but his strengths don't go much beyond that. He'll ||
         || mainly just punch and scratch at you. Although every ||
         || so often, he'll jump to the ceiling. When this happens||
         || you can stay away from his shadow so that he can't ||
         || drop down on you. The thing is, you don't have to let ||
         || any of this happen. At the start of the fight, nail ||
         || greed with a cannon ball. Then wait for him to stand ||
         || up, and nail him as soon as he finishes cracking his ||
         || neck -- you can't hurt him while he's doing that. Do ||
         || this one more time, and he'll go down. ||
        [__]=====================================================[__]

After the fight with Greed, Ed will head into the forest outside of Dante's
mansion. The forest is a maze, and you can easily get lost if you don't know
the correct path to take. Because of this, I'll list the path you have to
take before I even go over the obstacles along the way. This is according to
your point of view, not Ed's:

                    o 1  - Right          o 8  - Left
                    o 2  - Right          o 9  - Up
                    o 3  - Right          o 10 - Left
                    o 4  - Right          o 11 - Up
                    o 5  - Up             o 12 - Right
                    o 6  - Left           o 13 - Right
                    o 7  - Up             o 14 - Right

The first screen doesn't have anything on it. Just head to the right. There
you'll have to fight two Chimeras. After you kill them, the stone wall that's
blocking the path will clear. When that happens, head to the right again. The
third screen is empty. Just head to the right there, as well. On the fourth
screen, you'll have to take out a few thugs with guns. Once again you'll head
to the right. The thing is, this time you'll run into some green cylinders
before you can exit the screen. Switch to Al's cannon alchemy, and blow them
apart. Then head to the next screen.

Here, you'll find a path that branches upward. Take it to the next screen.
There, for a change of pace, head left. Go north from there, and then on the
next screen head to the left again. There, you'll find the ground in flames.
Use your rock blocker alchemy to create a safe path that crosses the flames.
Head left again once past them. There, branch to the north once more. You'll
find some brown cylinders there. Use Ed's cannon alchemy to destroy them, then
head to the next screen on the right.

All that will be left after that, is a straightaway to the mansion. Just head
right for the next two screens to reach it. You'll have to face a few thugs
and chimeras along the way, but you're probably used to them by now. This will
lead you out of the forest maze, and to the steps of Dante's mansion. After a
cutscene, you'll be facing Greed in his true form: The Ultimate Shield!

        []=====================================================[]
         || Boss: Greed, The Ultimate Shield ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || Greed fights almost exactly like he did in his first ||
         || form, here. There's just one difference; you won't be ||
         || able to inflict any damage on him. You won't even be ||
         || able to knock him off his feet. So while he's taking ||
         || swings at you, just stay away from him. You're only ||
         || chance to hurt him, is when he jumps to the ceiling. ||
         || When he does that, move to the alchemy symbol in the ||
         || middle of the room, and move away when he jumps down. ||
         || When he lands on the symbol, it will light up, and he ||
         || will revert to his normal form for a moment. Hit him ||
         || with whatever you have before he turns back. If you ||
         || have enough alchemy symbols to create a large golden ||
         || cannon, that will take off two-thirds of his health. ||
         || If you don't combos work fine though. Repeat this ||
         || process, if necessary, until he is defeated. ||
        [__]=====================================================[__]

.----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.----.----.
|    |    | Stage 8: Lior Temple                         (STG08)  |    |    |
'----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----'

You'll start just outside of Father Cornello's temple. It's the same temple
that you were at in the beginning of the game, only this time it's in ruins.
You'll have to fight your way through sixteen chimeras and officers on the
very first screen, just to reach where the alter used to be. It's not there
anymore, however. So just walk down the staircase to enter the temple. You'll
have to face four more chimeras in the first hallway, but at least the halls
aren't trapped anymore. So defeat the enemies and head off-screen to the left.

Continue to fight your way through the hallways. The first will have four
chimeras, and the second will have six. Don't be hesitant to let loose some
alchemy if you feel you are outnumbered. This will bring you to the stairway
leading to the hold hallway. Yes, there are more chimeras there, but there
are also a few wooden barrells which contain cows. If you were running low
on health, they should really help you out. Make your way to the large door
on the right, that leads to the chamber you fought the large chimera in, back
in the first stage.

Well, he's back. And now there are four other Chimeras with him. You should
probably consider creating a golden cannon with alchemy. Doing so will make
the fight considerably easier. After you've killed them, head to the left side
of the grate on the middle of the floor. You'll be shown another alchemy
array on the touch screen. Once again, you'll have to touch the purple dots
in the order that they light up. Doing this will reveal a hidden staircase.
Descend down the stairs into the basement of the temple.

There are five chimeras that you'll have to defeat there. Just watch out for
the hole in the wall, as bats will fly out of there if you get too close.
After clearing the area, head off to the next screen on the right. There are
five more chimeras in there for you to defeat, but like the golden hallway,
there are also some barrells which contain health-restoring cows. Proceed to
the last hallway after that, and defeat a few more chimeras. Once they're
gone, you can walk to the next screen to begin the fight with Wrath.

        []=====================================================[]
         ||  Boss: Wrath                                          ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || This guy can be tough at first. He's strong and fast, ||
         || and seems to dodge everything you can throw at him ||
         || with ease. He does have one opening, however. Just ||
         || keep back while he's attacking, and wait for him to do||
         || a punch, where his arm transforms into a vine-form.   ||
         || When this happens, quickly face him, and cannon-blast ||
         || him from up close. If you power-up the cannon, or do ||
         || it from too far away, he'll dodge. If you punch him, ||
         || you'll take more damage than he will. ||
         ||                                                       ||
         || After you hurt him, he'll head to the side of the ||
         || screen, and unleash a set of spikes. They are all set ||
         || a bit apart from eachother. So use your best judgement||
         || and stand on a spot you believe the spikes will miss, ||
         || while against the bottom of the screen. Immediately ||
         || after, Wrath will go on the attack again. Just stick ||
         || in there and attack him when he's open. It takes a ||
         || while, and he's not easy, but that's how to beat him. ||

|    |    | Stage 9: Warehouse                           (STG09)  |    |    |
'----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----'

        []=====================================================[]
         ||  Boss: Sloth                                          ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || This is a fun battle. What you'll have to do, is hit ||
         || Sloth with a cannon, to cause her to melt into a ||
         || puddle of water. When this happens, rush up to the ||
         || puddle and use a special alchemy icon that will appear||
         || to cause her to freeze. While she's like this, you'll ||
         || be able to combo her for some damage. After a few hits||
         || however, she'll become half-puddle, half-human. Just  ||
         || keep away from her like this, as touching her will ||
         || cause damage. After a moment, she'll return to her ||
         || human form again. When she's like this, she'll toss ||
         || some water balls that will form into tornados. Don't ||
         || worry though. Since you are hitting her with a cannon ||
         || anyway, you can stand back, far out of the danger ||
         || zone. Rinse and repeat; Another homunculus down! ||

.----.----.-------------------------------------------------------.----.----.
|    |    | Stage 10: The Ancient City                   (STG10)  |    |    |
'----'----'-------------------------------------------------------'----'----'

The start of this level is a bit tricky. There's a stack of stone heads to
your right. You can destroy them, but more will just fall from the sky before
you can get past them! The trick is to hit the one at the bottom until it
turns red, then hit it with an alchemy attack. For whatever reason, this
will keep it from "respawning." Repeat this process for the next two statues
and you'll be cleared to move forward. You'll come across a set of moving
spikes. Create a rock blocker in front of them, then do a long jump to reach
the other side. From there, you can walk to the next screen.

To proceed any further, you'll have to destroy another stack of stone heads.
So, do that and head forward a bit. You'll have six chimeras that you'll have
to defeat -- and don't let the ones hiding in the door ways catch you by
surprise. Once they're out of the way, keep going, to the next screen. There
you'll find three chimeras to face. After taking them out however, the giant
stone statue in the area will transform into a fourth chimera -- one that
can breathe fire. It's still not that tough though.

And once it's out of the way, you'll have access to the stone slab that it
was gaurding. Walk up to the left side of it, and you'll initiate another
touch screen activity. Trace the lines as they appear, as you did the last
time. If you are able to complete the alchemy array before the timer runs
out, the platform you are standing on will slide away, revealing a doorway.
If you take too long, you'll have to start over. After you've finished you
can walk through the doorway. It leads to a cave.

The cave is short. Except for a few barrells which contain cows, the only
thing there is four chimeras to kill. Take them out, then head to the right.
This leads to the outside of a building, where you may be confused. You could
run for hours -- you'll never reach a new screen. This is because the area
is actually a circle. What you have to do, is slowly *walk*, staying close to
the pillars, until you are shown an alchemy array by one of them. After
tracing the lines you are shown, Ed will create a wall on your right, with a
door in it. Walk through the door, and after a cutscene, you'll be in a
fight with Dante.

        []=====================================================[]
         ||  Boss: Dante                                          ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || This fight is similar to the one you had with Father ||
         || Cornello, in the fact that you won't directly be in ||
         || combat with Dante. She does have more health though, ||
         || and more ways to attack you. You'll just have to deal ||
         || with everything she throws at you, and wait out the ||
         || battle. Saying it is of course easier than doing it. ||
         ||                                                       ||
         || She'll start by summoning a few chimeras. Take them ||
         || out like you would any other chimeras; this will cause||
         || Dante's health to drop a bit. After doing this, she ||
         || can pull a few different moves on you -- and not in a ||
         || pattern, necessarily. She can create machine guns. If ||
         || she does this, either create a rock blocker or jump on||
         || to the top of the gun. She can also create a ball of ||
         || fire that will slash along the ground. When she does ||
         || this, stay against the left side of the screen. She ||
         || can also cause rocks to fall from the ceiling. That is||
         || the trickiest move she has to dodge. Your best bet is ||
         || to run in a large circle around the room. ||
         ||                                                       ||
         || Try and perform the above strategies, and dodge as ||
         || many of her attacks as you can. At the same time, make||
         || sure not to actually touch her; you'll be shocked, and||
         || you'll lose health. Stick in there, and you should ||
         || eventually win. After all, you can't let a 400 year   ||
         || old woman beat a state alchemist, can you? ||
        [__]=====================================================[__]

         ||  Boss: Envy                                           ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || Yes, there is a second boss immediately following the ||
         || last one, which was pretty damn tough! No worries, ||
         || though, is this one is more of a story advancement ||
         || than a legitimate boss. Envy will keep taking the form||
         || of different people: Hughes, Sloth, etc. You can't use||
         || alchemy, but the fight is not a challenge. Just keep ||
         || tapping the A button, and you'll win. Hey, for a small||
         || challenge, try tapping with one hand, and making a ||
         || sandwich with the other! ||
        [__]=====================================================[__]

After the fight, you'll be shown the final cutscene of the game. Correct,
the game will end on that note! A bit anti-climactic if you ask me, but
oh well. The game was fun. And now it's over. Congratulations.
      _                                                                  _

         ||  Boss: Father Cornello's Chimera                      ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
        [__]=====================================================[__]

        []=====================================================[]
         ||  Boss: Father Cornello                                ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || You won't have to actually fight against Cornello ||
         || directly. Instead, you'll just have to fight all of ||
         || the beasts he creates with alchemy. Every time he does||
         || so, his life bar will deplete a bit. You only have to ||
         || wait it out. You can take out the chimeras by using ||
         || the cannon, or by simply attacking them. After you ||
         || kill one though, be careful. Cornello creates an array||
         || of machine guns each time you do so. Either create a ||
         || rock blocker to shield you, or jump on top of them to ||
         || avoid the gunfire. He'll create three rounds of guns, ||
         || so keep your guard up. Take out three chimeras, and ||
         || the fight will end. Cornello's ring will malfunction ||
         || on him, and he'll be unable to continue. ||
        [__]=====================================================[__]

        []=====================================================[]
         ||  Boss: Baldo                                          ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
Lastly, sometimes as ||
         || a taunt, he'll stand still and shoot at the ceiling. ||
         || this will cause barrells to fall to the ground. ||
         ||                                                       ||
Nice! ||
        [__]=====================================================[__]

        []=====================================================[]
         ||  Boss: Roy Mustang                                    ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || First of all, you need to know exactly how Roy plans ||
         || to fight. And that's the easy part: He's just going to||
         || stand on the right side of the screen, moving up and ||
         || down when necessary, and he's going to hit you with ||
         || everything that he's got. And you'll have to deal with||
         || each of these tricks differently. ||
         ||                                                       ||
These will ||
         || appear next to eachother, and move vertically along ||
         || the path. Just stay between the two, and you won't ||
         || take any damage.                                      ||
         ||                                                       ||
         || When Roy is shooting the flame clouds, he'll be moving||
         || fast, and you'll be too busy dodging to attack. When ||
         || he is creating the large flame tornados, glowing red, ||
         || he is invincible. And when he's creating the small ||
         || tornados, he'll simply quick-dodge anything that you  ||
         || throw at him.
        [__]=====================================================[__]

        []=====================================================[]
         || Boss: Barry the Chopper ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
Facing Barry||
         || head on just won't work; He WILL overpower you with ||
         || his blades. On the other hand, he has nothing on Al's ||
         || cannon. So just get away from him as soon as possible,||
         || and hit him with your cannon. ||
         ||                                                       ||
If ||
         || he does throw his blade, and you can nail him with a ||
         || punch, he won't be able to block it, and he'll go ||
         || down. Your best bet is to stand back and use cannon ||
         || attacks, though.                                      ||
        [__]=====================================================[__]

        []=====================================================[]
         || Boss: The Slicer Brothers ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||

         ||  Boss: Greed                                          ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
        [__]=====================================================[__]

        []=====================================================[]
         || Boss: Greed, The Ultimate Shield ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
        [__]=====================================================[__]

         ||  Boss: Wrath                                          ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || This guy can be tough at first. He's strong and fast, ||
         || and seems to dodge everything you can throw at him ||
         || with ease. He does have one opening, however. Just ||
         || keep back while he's attacking, and wait for him to do||
         || a punch, where his arm transforms into a vine-form.   ||
         || When this happens, quickly face him, and cannon-blast ||
         || him from up close. If you power-up the cannon, or do ||
         || it from too far away, he'll dodge. If you punch him, ||
         || you'll take more damage than he will. ||
         ||                                                       ||

         ||  Boss: Sloth                                          ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
After a few hits||
         || however, she'll become half-puddle, half-human. Just  ||
         || keep away from her like this, as touching her will ||
         || cause damage. After a moment, she'll return to her ||
         || human form again. When she's like this, she'll toss ||
         || some water balls that will form into tornados. Don't ||
         || worry though. Since you are hitting her with a cannon ||
         || anyway, you can stand back, far out of the danger ||
         || zone. Rinse and repeat; Another homunculus down! ||

         ||  Boss: Dante                                          ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
         || This fight is similar to the one you had with Father ||
         || Cornello, in the fact that you won't directly be in ||
         || combat with Dante. She does have more health though, ||
         || and more ways to attack you. You'll just have to deal ||
         || with everything she throws at you, and wait out the ||
         || battle. Saying it is of course easier than doing it. ||
         ||                                                       ||
Your best bet is ||
         || to run in a large circle around the room. ||
         ||                                                       ||
         || Try and perform the above strategies, and dodge as ||
         || many of her attacks as you can. At the same time, make||
         || sure not to actually touch her; you'll be shocked, and||
         || you'll lose health. Stick in there, and you should ||
         || eventually win. After all, you can't let a 400 year   ||
         || old woman beat a state alchemist, can you? ||

         ||  Boss: Envy                                           ||
         ||-------------------------------------------------------||
Just keep ||
         || tapping the A button, and you'll win. Hey, for a small||
         || challenge, try tapping with one hand, and making a ||
         || sandwich with the other! ||
