foriegn language

I am new to DS and Sims family. I started playing sims 2 pets, and although I can read it in english, it sounds like they are talking in a differn't language. Is that how the sims talk, or is something wrong with my game?

Yeah, that's how they talk, the creators call it "Simlish"

That's how they are suppost to talk. I emailed them and they said they can't talk to each other (for osme reason) if they don't speak in that tone. They call it Simish/Simlish.
