Bamboo for Grass skirt and knife
I have no idea how to harvest the bamboo that i planted and i need bamboo in order to make the skirt.....i also have no idea how to get the knife if i have to craft it or what..? SOMEONE PLEASE HELPPPPPPP!!!

to get the knife you have to go to the cook. offer to help him. once you have helped him by giving him a sardine (which you fish for) and a lime (buy the seeds from the farmer, plant and tend to them) he will reward you with the knife, it is the only way of getting it. in order to get the seeds from the farmer you need to be able to trade with her. i don't know if you have done this yet but you need to go to offer her help and go the other island to get the mangoes. You have to make a boat, but first you need a hammer. Go to the doctor and
trade for a hammer handle. Head up to the right of the chef and you will find a fallen
tree. Make it into a boat. It takes 3 days of work. Each time you make one thing out of
the tree another thing is available to make but you have to do it in three days because it
drains your energy.
Once you have done all this and you have the knife, you use the knife to get the bamboo. Go up to the bamboo and click on it (when it is ready to harvest), it will say 'examine' and there will be another option, i am not sure what it says but click on it.

The bamboo is with the farmer, go and trade with her. ANYWAY I'm STUCK ON THIS GAME!! Suzy wants a skirt but I have no knife to cut the grass, doc wants a curry but I can't find the ingredients to it (eggplant etc) I know you get it from the gardener but she hasn't got it, the chef wants me to upgrade his fire but I can't find the pole I picked up from the plane crash site!! it just goes round in a circleGuest answered:

Wait until the bamboo is ready to harvest Then cut it down with the knife and give it to the student
