How do I get new areas and tools I read your anser but I still don't know how to! Help me super player!

The first tool I made was the axe. You have to collect wood from the beach then trade it to the Doctor for handle. You get a large rock from the beach for the axe I think. Then you go to the tool crafting bench to make it. The crafting bench is right before the fresh water stream that flows into the beach. One you get the axe you can cut the vines to get to Mrs Weeder and cut the vines past the Doctor to go up to the Chef.
