This is the 1st time I've gotten stuck in this game. I need to make the insturment for susie, I thought I had everything I needed but I still can't craft it. What items exactly did you need and do you know where you could find it?

You need the hallo log and nails to make the instrument then once you have the log and nails go to the tool craft bench and you will not see the accual item you will see a ?mark and if you have more than 1 ?mark click on all of them till you find the one that says you need a hallow log and nails to make the mistrious item hope that help

I havent got that far yet to completing the instrument mission but I do know that you need 1 Nails 1 Hollow wood thing is the hollow wood comes on the beach where you normally find a crate so you will have to wait a couple of days to find it.
