I think playing the game without cheating is the best way to go. For one cheating with these AR and GS can really do damage to your gameplay. It did for the other games if you was paying attention. It can be the smallest things, but if your careful and know what your doing I think it can be done. The thing is just being careful and knowing what your doing.

Not in particular. Personally, I think that you should play a game without any cheats first, and defeat it, and then the second time around, you can feel free to cheat all you like. It's better to do it that way.
Also, because you cheated the first time around, it will be a bit harder to defeat it without all those super rare and powerful Pokemon that I'm sure you probably had, or walking through walls to avoid gym leaders and the like.

No,you really wasted good rare pokemons by just starting a new game and it'll take all the fun out as you already know whats going to happen in the game so it was a big mistake really.

Then when I get to a point where I know I've done everything
I start to experiment with some cheats and do some cool stuff

You should play the game without cheating I played the game without any cheats I got darkrai,regigigas,regice,regirock,registeel and rotom's other form's trough normal game play

Personally, I use the Action Replay to get events that have passed.I agree completely on using no cheats.I beleive legit Pokemon are better than cheat Pokemon like that Spoiler:
