You can find Darkrai at his home on New Moon Island. To get there you must go into the Canalave City Hotel, which you should have noticed by now, is locked. The only way to get into that hotel is to go to a Nintendo Event, and get the key item called the membership pass. Once you have done that, go to the Canalave Hotel, and go to sleep. Walk around the Island, Defeat Darkrai, wake up, and then go talk to that sailor by the boat. He will take you to where the real Darkrai is.

Since you cannot go to a Nintendo Event, you will have to buy an Action Replay.

Well you can't get a darkrai untill you buy a AR, then type a code in using the AR to get the darkrai, you can buy a AR at many game stores.

Everybody's right about getting an Action Replay, but they still didn't say WHERE to get Darkrai. If you have Action Replay, use the cheat that says: WALK/RUN THROUGH ANYTHING (it should already be in the AR when you buy it), then when you visit Canalave City, get on the ship and sail to Iron Island. DO NOT go inside the cave, but instead, run/walk to the right (yes, across the water) until you reach New Moon Island and Darkrai will be there. That one cheat helped me get all but one of the legendaries for Diamond and Pearl. I had to get Arceus with another cheat...Hope this helps!!!
