Question for Pokemon Diamond
How come when someone gives you an egg the Pokemon starts at level 5 but when you leave 2 Pokemon of different genders and leaves an egg it starts at level 1.

Eggs have not hatched into level 5 Pokemon since Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.

It doesn't start at LV. 5, they start at level one. It's when someone give you a Pokemon that is NOT in a egg.
