First, to activate the Mystery Gift function, go to the Jubilife TV Center. On the second floor, there is a man who accepts sayings from you. Tell him the following; "EVERYONE HAPPY" and "WI-FI CONNECTION". He will say he can pull some strings and get your Mystery Gift. Save your game and reset

You go to the third floor in the large building with the lottery corner in Jublife and there is a man that will ask for an interview you need to answer everyone happy and then wifi connection. That will unlock the mystery gift. Then you go to the title screen and mystery gift will be an option and you select it and then use Nintendo wifi connection to get the mystery gift.
