a few pokemon stat questions
When I look up my pokemon's stats am I looking at the ivs or the evs. And if I'm using pokesav can I put those stats to 999?
Comment:(Jan 14 2010) well ive acully used a mew with 800 in all evs using pokesav, but im not sure how you get that.

You are looking at your pokemon's evs(effort values). And yes on pokesav you can put your pokemon's stats to 999.

999? No. A Pokemon can only have up to 510 EVs overall, and 252 maximum in any one stat. EVs are Effort Values - some Pokemon give slight bonuses (EVs) when you defeat them and level up. For example, defeating a Victreebel and levelling up from it is likely to give you a higher increase in your Attack stat when you do so.
IVs I've never quite understood, but a Pokemon can only have up to 31 in each stat.
