Hey can anyone tell me how to unlock the 1st mine I keep hearing you need to go to the dig site at 8:30 with hammer but it doesnt mork

Go at 9 or after 9pm with your hammer. The guy will come in and tell you where to hit the wall and voila.
I went at exactly 11:00 every time I needed to open a mine, hope I helped!
