Ok, I want to marry Liea the mermaid, and I know I will need the fishing rod to get the message in a bottle for her when the time comes. But I don't know where/how to get the fishing rod! Please help?

Go to fogu.com/hm6 and press fishing got to the bottom of the page and you will see the information.
Go to galens house on a sunny saturyday at 11:30 am or when they go back inside. Then enter the house. You'll get the rod.
Ok on a saturday morning (it has to be sunny) got to galens house (south of vestas farm) at exactly noon go inside there house with nothing equipped and it should trigger a scene where galen gives you a fishing rod. hope I helped!
