This is a question linking off girlygal's question if we get the tools what profit are we going to make, the prices won't change depending on the tool we use so what does Judicator328 mean about making profit.

You are right, the prices won't change. You will be able to make more money in the same amount of time. With the rod, it will reel in fish faster. So it saves time, allowing you to make money quicker. With the net, the net is larger, so the Bugs on trees that are valuable are easier to catch. The bugs on trees are worth more, so earning money is easier. Really it may come down to earning around 10,000 to 20,000 more bells an hour.
