Get Almost Every Starter

To get every starter except for the Sinnoh starters, here's what you have to do.

Start the game, choose Chikorita and go to a Pokemon Center. Trade the Chikorita to another game. (Platinum, Diamond or Pearl preferably.)

DO NOT SAVE. Start the game again, this time choosing Totodile. Trade. So on and so on. Once you've traded every starter start again and choose any starter. Catch two more Pokemon and trade them for the starters. You can do the same with the Kanto and Hoenn starters once you've defeated Red.
