Again, you will need the National Dex for this. South of Veilstone City, (route 214) beside the fat collector, you will find a gap in the trees. You are now in Spring path. Keep going. You will eventually reach Sendoff Spring. You will need Rock climb here, so keep a fighting-type handy. Once you use the move, you come across a small wood dock. DO NOT try to just jump, for that is idiotic and won't work. Go around. Here is the cave. After you get inside, it may seem like a puzzle, but all you have to do is refrain from using Rock smash, I never used it and I was there in no time. Once you make it to the end where the legendary is, as usual, just press A up to it. To do mass damage at first, use dark or dragon moves. Once it is on yellow, use not-so-effective moves, as in ghost type moves. Use Dusk balls (dark balls) for an effective catch attempt. If the battle is long, use a timer ball. If that does not work, keep using stat-moves like cotton spore to make it more vulnerable to the balls. Try to make it fall asleep by using moves like Yawn. Other special conditions can work (but not confuse!). Once you catch it, go to the upper area of the room and go through that door, for that is a short cut out. Giratina can not battle at the Battle Tower.
