If you set your first Pokemon as a ghost with levitate (ex: Gengar), and have another Pokemon with a normal type,only shadow force will be able to do damage to the ghost, and when it dissapears, you switch in the normal type to take the hit... Shadow force is ghost type so it won't do anything. After the attack passes, put your ghost back in.
