I have both n64 Zelda games and I was wondering that, when I bought them,
Majora's mask came in a gold carteridge, also so did my ocarina of time was a
Gold cartiridge. I read in a past issue of EGM (issue 200) that it was rare.
So I'm wondering if my majoras mask is rare or not. Please tell me!

Hmmm, my ocarina of time is a gold cartridge, supposedly because it's the "collector's edition". My majora's mask is also a gold catridge, but I think that's the standard color, since the box just looks normal.
Well since both of the games arent in production anymore I guess you could say they are a little rare. However you can always find a game on ebay. I think the gold edition of Ocarina of Time is more rare than the original grey version. But Majora's Mask is probably more rare than Ocarina of Time because it wasnt as popular so they didnt make as many copies of it. I love them both though! :]
No it is not rare because the rare ones have a gold edition lable signifying that it is the actual gold edition game. I know this because I spent 500 dollars to get ahold of one of these cartridges.
I think the gold ocarina of time is special because I haven't got it but I read that the gold Majora's mask is normal
A gold MM game is not rare (i have it). I also have the gold OOT game, but I think that OOT gold is a little more scarce.
Wow, that's cool! But Majora's Mask's standard cartridge color is gold, but if there's something on there indicating that it's rare, then congratulations! It is probably rare, because Majora's Mask wasn't as popular, so they didn't make as many copies .... And they DID make a special gold edition. You know, it could just be Collector's Edition. Technically, Majora's Mask golden is not rare. But Ocarina of Time golden, Congratulations!! If the box looked normal, then I'm sorry ... The real way to tell is that at the very end of the game you can play as Majora, the final box. All in all, your copy is PROBABLY not rare, but those three ways to tell: If the box isn't normal, if the cartridge or box says that it's special, and if you can play as Majora.
