How do you beat the dragon a second time? And which character should I use?

Keeping getting the balloons, try to get double of either red or blue so you catch up faster. Also, if you see the little speed arrows on the ground go up to it but before actually going over it stop the gas then start it up so you go faster.
The character I usually picked was small for speed so usually Diddy Kong, or the little yellow mouse whose name I could never understand. Hope this helped.
