David Eddings on why he's not returning as Claptrap in Borderlands 3, and more Gaming news

Last week, Gearbox unveiled almost an hour long gameplay segment from their upcoming looter shooter, Borderlands 3. The segment re-introduced a lot of fan favorite characters from the franchise, but it sounds like one of them sounds a bit different. Claptrap, who was previously voiced by David Eddings, is now being voiced by Jim Foronda. Eddings took to twitter after fans kept asking whether it was him, stating: No. For the first time, I insisted on getting paid for my performance and all of a sudden they couldn't afford me. Now I'm not telling them how to run their business but maybe next time they should put the $12M payment from 2K in the Gearbox bank account instead.
