Bungie and Activision have parted ways, and more Gaming news

Bungie surprised the entire gaming community by announcing that they've parted ways with Publisher Activision. Bungie and Activision had partnered up for what was originally going to be a 10 year plan with Destiny, but it looks like tension between the studio and the publisher, as well as Activision's disappointment with sales of Destiny 2, led the two companies to part ways, with Bungie now owning the Destiny IP completely. This now makes Bungie one of the largest independent studios, up there with CD projekt Red. Despite the change, Bungie assured that they'll continue to deliver on the existing Destiny roadmap, and that they plan on surprising their community with exciting announcements about what lies beyond.
