EA completely revamps Battlefront 2's progression system

Well, it took quite a while, but it looks like Star Wars Battlefront 2 is finally making the change that players wanted when the game initially launched. Battlefront 2 was originally panned by both fans and critics for essentially being a pay to win game, by allowing players to purchase crates with random rewards for either in game credits or real money. Those crates also had the chance of containing Star Cards which were necessary to level up individual classes and characters. It was a sleazy scheme to earn extra revenue from those willing to part with their money in exchange for easy character progression to give them an edge over those who played the game normally. Eventually, after enough backlash, EA turned off microtransactions, making random crates only available through credits, but it looks like on March 21st, Battlefront 2 will get the update it needed to have from the very start.
