PlayStation 5 getting Variable Refresh Rate update this week

The highly-awaited PlayStation 5 update that will enable Variable refresh rate on compatible TVs is coming this week. Variable refresh rate syncs the refresh rate of the display to the game's output, eliminating screen tearing and frame pacing issues. The increased smoothness can also decrease input lag which can lead to quicker button press reactions. Sony announced a small list of games that will be getting VRR patches, though future releases will have the support at launch. Some of the games include Marvel's Spider-Man, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, Destiny 2, Godfall, and more.
