Yuji Naka, father of Sonic the Hedgehog, joins Square Enix

Yuji Naka, one of the creators of Sonic the Hedgehog, will be joining the development team at Square Enix. In 1991, along with Naoto Ohshima and Hirokazu Yasuhara, Naka created Sonic and then went on to work on games such as Alex Kidd in Miracle World, the Phantasy Star series and ChuChu Rocket. Naka left Sega in 2006 to form the indie dev Prope, and now it seems like he'll be bringing his development skills to Square Enix.
