Microsoft reverts Xbox Live Gold price increase

Microsoft reverted their decision to increase their Xbox Live Gold pricing. Initially, Microsoft announced that they would be increasing their Xbox Live Gold subscription cost, meaning that 60 dollars would get players only half a year of Gold instead of a full year. However, after the large subscriber backlash, Microsoft has not only reverted their stance on pricing, keeping it the same price subscribers are currently paying, but they have also removed the barrier which previously required a subscription to play free to play online games, bringing it in line with Sony's policy.
