Shigeru Miyamoto speaks on the Switch's success, and hiring devs who aren't hardcore gamers

Shigeru Miyamoto, the father of Mario himself, spoke to the New York Times regarding Nintendo's recent success, even touching on the Wii U. Regarding Nintendo's previous console, Miyamoto stated: “It was a bit difficult for consumers to understand what the system was about.” Regarding the Switch, Miyamoto touched on how the new hybrid console basically incorporates a lot of the ideas and play styles from products in the past, and combines them into one sleek console. Which makes sense considering the Switch has elements from the Wii, Wii U, and the 3DS, with motion controllers, the ability to play the game off-screen, and a touch-screen for navigation respectively.
