Grand Prix

Mario Kart 7 of course has it's Grand Prix mode. It is almost exactly the same as Mario Kart Wii's Grand Prix. It features 50cc, which is the slowest, 100cc, which is a medium speed, 150cc, which is the fastest speed and also Mirror Mode which is also the fastest speed section. Although this GP has a new addition, coins. There are some coins throughout the courses and when collected, they increase your speed.

Mirror Mode is the majorly different section. It is completely flipped so that every turn goes the opposite way, every tree, sign, house, fence is on the alternate side. It is a great challenge to experienced players that are used to all the turns being one way. 50cc, 100cc and 150cc all have the same layout with the only difference being the speed.

The Grand Prix mode is the major mode of the game due to the removal of VS mode which offers great fun and challenges. All the games unlockable characters are unlocked through Grand Prix so if you want all the characters, it's the mode to be in. Grand Prix mode continues the trend to be fun and challenging and will surely stay throughout the rest of the Mario Kart series.
