How do you have two sims "hang out"?

You have to have two Sims sit at a table together at the same time. Once they are there click on the one with the green diamond and it will give you option to hang out.

I never saw the hang out option no matter what I did. Just the usual options. Very frustrating when you're trying to complete a task.

You do as what is said above, click to ponder then cancel it and click on the other Sims, the other sim has to be from another house as I tried it with a mother and daughter and it didn't work and then got another Adult sim and it let me 'hang out' with them. This is how you solve it

The two people have to be best friends. If you have one ponder then click on the best friend it gives the option "hang out"

You have to get 2 Sims in the diy house and press on one of them amd theirs going to be an option that says hamg out

From other house, go back to your own house and click the whistle to invite other sim at your own house, then click the other sim and you will see the option that say "hang out"

Have two Sims near each other. Hit the sim without the emerald above it's head and pick the 'hangout' option.

Have both Sims sit at table to ponder. Cancel both ponders the one with out the green diamond click on then there should be a hang out option

Two adults have to sit on a dining chair. The Adult with the green diamond should ask the other adult to hang out. I had problems with this too but I figured it out.

You have to have to Sims from different households be good friends, then just click on the other and one of the options will be to hand out, it takes 1 day.

Have two Sims at the DIY home. (Adult Sims) have one Sim click on the other. Click the longest option (to 'hang out'). It lasts 1 day.
