Can teens move out of their parents' home?

Can you "relocate" them to an empty house? I just wanted to know if I should build a house for my future teen.

Yes what you do is make them become best friends with an different Adult and then make the adult ask them to move in. After that delete the adult and your teen can have there own home Smile

Guest answered:

Yes but I do not think teens can move out only adults.

Guest answered:

Yes. You can make the teen have their own home, their last name sadly, will change.

1.
Build a home for your teen and move an Adult into the home.
2.
Make your teen become good friends or best friends with the Adult, the button 'Ask to Move in' should appear during these friendship stages.
3.
Your teen will now be moved in.
4.
Instead of deleting a sim, move them back into their original home by relocating, or repeating the steps above.

Hope this helped! Smile

Won't their last name change because they move into the house with the other person? Or can we do it with parents?

If you add a SIM with the last name of the teen it would eliminate that.
Guest answered:

Or you can delete the parents 😂 Then the sim has that house

Guest answered:

I wanted some of my teens to have their own house so I explored the game and found a way to do it (Note - only works if you have room for one more sim)
1. Add a new sim to an empty house. Their first name doesn't matter, but make sure the last name of your new sim is the same as your teen's last name (or whatever you want it to be).
Ex: My teen's name was Kelly Druce, so I named my new Sims PERSON Druce.

2. Send your teen to the new sim's house.

3. Do the "Be nice" option with each other until you are good friends.

4. Have the new sim ask your teen to move in,

5. Delete your new sim. (Note - if you want another teen to move in, too, make the other teen good friends with the new sim and have the new sim ask the other teen to move in before deleting the new sim. I used this to make 2 dating teens move in together.)

BOOM 💥! Your teen now has their own house and lives alone. I hope this was helpful. 😊

1) Make the 4 teens become good friends with an adult
2) move the household into the house you want them to live in
3) delete the adult, or move them back to their original house
4) hope that your teens are responsible enough to handle life by themselves :3

This has 6 sims live together or 3 teens
1) create 3 adults
2) have 2 of them them in love
3) have them move in together
4) have one of the married sims become good or best friends with other adult sim
5) have friend sim move in
The next part you have to do super quickly. Be sure to take into account the time it takes to walk there.
6) invite over 3 teens
7) have teens become good or best friends with adults
8) quickly have them ask to move in at the same time
NOW YOU HAVE 6 SIMS LIVING TOGETHER
Optional: delete adults or have them move back somewhere else
ALL DONE
have your teens enjoy living together

But what if you're trying to get a preteen sim to move out? I'm trying to get a preteen sim out of a house but the ask to move in option isn't available

Too young to move out on own get them adopted
Guest answered:

All you need to do is add an Adult sim to the house that you want your teen to move into. This adult sim needs to have the same last name as your teen if you don’t want the teen’s last name to change. You should then level up the friendship between the teen and new adult sim to at least good friend. This will then give the move in option; you should click this and the teen will move in with the adult. You can then delete the adult sim if you want or make it move out to have your teen live alone.

I just moved the household to the new house, divorced the parents, had mom move out, have dad go to moms, have dad and mom move back in together, not waste money on getting them married since they already have 2 kids, boom The Teens Now live all by themselves . Now I just got to Add My other teen in there and boom! Teens only house (Note this only works because the parents aren’t going to have more kids)
