The magic wand
Where can I find the magic wand? I got a task "use the magic wand again" but I don't know whereis it?

I had the same question, but I read somewhere that you just have to cast random spells at the magic wand Podium. Hope this helps!

No, you cannot. You must complete the quest, but Yes, you can still do magic even without completing the quest after the time limit runs out. You just wont get the pet dragon.

You have to rearrange books on the book selt and then grab the wand then go home and the podium will be in your inventory

The wand is laying on top of the Podium you collected from the wizard's house. Just "cast random spells" again, and you're using the wand by doing that.
It worked for me.

The magic wand is at the wizard's house. You need to click on the crystal ball again, to visit the wizard's house.

It might have to do with having the save by the spell quest and spell casting event at the same time. In the saved by the spells event Sims can no longer use magic until it is restored, but if I remember corerectly we had to return the podium in the last magic event because the wizard wanted his wand back and he was supposed to give us our own wand.Guest answered:
I completed the Quest and was told the wizard gave me the Podium and sand back but it isn't in my inventory so I can't cast random spells to complete the next quest. It seems to be Ann issue with this game for others as well. What to do? Any idea?
