Sharing an engagement with a friend

I have gotten two of my sims engaged but the next goal is to share the news with a friend. I called a friend over but there's no option that says share the news. Just the usual be nice, romantic, rude etc. Please help

You use the phone to call a friend. If you don't have one buy it from the store under electronics tab
