Question for The Sims 3 Ambitions

How to gain skill level in cooking? I already bought a pot and recipe at bistro but everytime I click the stove the pot doesnt show only the recipe, I even tried changing my job from teacher to chef but whenever I try to cook, still the pot isn't showing and the goal isn't achieved. Please help.

You have to buy the cooking pppot, and go to you're inventories, click on the cooking pot and "place" on the stove and click on the stove the option "practice cooking". Goodluck.
