Question for The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I have my partner as a friend but I can't go to his Springfield, he can go to mine though. Could somebody please tell me what I'm doing wrong please? Any help would be great thanks

You can't add or visit friends on an apple device, iPad iPhone etc, if you use someone's else's device you can log on as you and then add or visit friends.

I am facing the same problem,but I can only visit some of my friends not all.It says I need to upgrade the app.When I tried to upgrade,upgrading is not possible.
