If you get enough of Spike's guitars (I think about 200) you get to unlock Spike as a playable character.

Unfortunately there's no any special thing about them but they're not easy to get, so if you got any of them you could use it to brag your friends & when you get 200 guitars you get to unlock spike to play with ,the same thing goes with the spaceship
