How do you use flint and steel on minecraft PE because when I tap on the thing I want to burn it doesn't get on fire nothing happens

As of 0.4.0, flint and steel is only used to ignite TNT. It can't set fires (yet).

you cant make nether portals in minecraft pe yet sorry

You can also use it to lite portals and when you go in the portal stand on it and don't just walk through it

ometimes you get flint out of gravel and then you need melted iron and then you can create flint and steel in minecraft pe (pocket edition)

How to find flint and steel: you have to destroy a lott of gravel and sometimes you get flint out of gravel and then you need melted iron and then you can create flint and steel in minecraft pe (pocket edition)

It will not create fires even in Minecraft 0.5.0, it can only detonate TNT.

Don't listen to him he's a noob. You can explode TNT on any minecraft game. Flint and Steel won't open portals or set things on fire in PE as of yet but it can in any other version.

The beta version is coming on April 2, 2013 with plenty of stuff. Best-case scenario would be that flint and steel can make fire on beta.

The flint and steel will only blow up TNT, this may be changed eventually. Flint and steel will not set any fires on the pe version. You can set fires on the: Xbox, PC, or Play Station. It will not set fire in: PE, tablet, Kindle Fire( any kindle), or ipad
